Emberfrost watched from a tree as Starlight, Froststar, Snowstep, and a new kittypet left the clearing to camp.
"Today's so boring. I've already hunted and patrolled..." He hissed to himself with his eyes half closed, still looking down from the tall tree he was on.
He enjoyed the view from up top, and liked being alone...but not BORED. Maybe he DID need some company...

"What the---" Emberfrost hissed, surprised by the sudden appearance of Starlight. "How'd you---Where'd you---" His fur stood on end.
He sighed, his fur lay flat again. "Don't creep up on me like that ok?" he mumbled, licking his fur till it lay flat again.
"Thought you and the others were going back to camp or something?" He asked, looking Starlight over.

"yeah...but I notice you, here, all alone" Starlight began, "Thought you might need some company. Besides, Snowstep ditched me for Rascal" Starlight made a face. "Guess I'm all alone again."

Emberfrost grinned, for the first time in moons. He liked the way Starlight was interesting...but he himself wasn't.
"Um...I'd better go on the... um... Sun-high patrol..." He started down the tree, even though he wasn't due for another patrol until the next dawn.

"That's not true---" Emberfrost stopped in mid-sentence, embarrassed that he thought more of her than what he does others. "Never mind" He mumbled.
"Hey um do you want to hunt or something?" He asked. Maybe he'll get to know Starlight better...

"Sure!" Starlight's voice lit up. "wait..I'm coming." Starlight pounced down the tree, landing softly on her feet, as cat always do. "Let's go!!!"

Emberfrost couldn't help but smile lightly to himself that Starlight accepted his 'offer'. Well, what could he say? He SO wasn't used to hunting with another cat.... especially not a she-cat so pretty He shook his head to push away that thought.
He scented the air, "I smell mouse" He whispered, then fell into a hunters crouch before dashing through the tall grasses, avoiding the trees, and caught the mouse who was not on its gaurd.
"Um..." He blushed for the first time in his life. "You want to eat or something?"

Starlight grinned, "Sure! Thanks." She bit into the tangy mouse. (lol, tangy) "Want some?" She pushed the mouse towards Emberfrost. She leaped around. "I feel happy."

Emberfrost crouched down to eat the rest of the mouse. can a cat really feel this happy? i've never felt happiness since he was an apprentice...he HATED his apprenticeship...
"So...uh..." He didn't know what else to do since they hunted already, and he didn't think himself as interesting at all... it was a miracle that Starlight decided to hunt with him at all.

"Um, sure!" Emberfrost mewed, standing up, looking up at the sun. "Let's go before sunset i guess" he smiled and started pelting towards the lake; he was actually have FUN!
