Starpaw collapsed under the shade of a large elm tree by the lake, panting lightly. A huge smile rested upon her face. "Al- Almost beat you!" She purred, rolling onto her back and enjoying the caress of the sun's gentle rays..

Sunpaw stumbled across to where Starpaw had stopped and sat down, trying to catch her breath. "Hah, I don't even know who won!" She sighed as her pulse began to regain a normal rythm and lungs slowed down to resume regular breath patterns. She grinned a her fellow apprentices. "That was fun and we haven't even started yet!" Her head still throbbing Sunpaw went down to a more confortable postion and looked up at the pale sun.

Silentpaw's black fur was windblown and messy. Strangley, he found himself thinking of Dovepaw during the race, and slowed without even noticing. "Wow, that was some run!"

Sunpaw grinned. "Sure! Sounds like a great idea." She padded of in a random direction, then turned and went off on a different one. "Umm... This way?" she suggested pointing with her tail past some bushes deeper into the forest.

Starpaw turned around. "Oh hi Dovepaw! Of course you can! That is, f Sunpaw and Silentpaw say yes!" She meowed. "We're just about to go exploring. I'd love if you came!"
(maybe they should cross into Waterclan? lol Cedarpaw, Hollypaw and Crowpaw v Silentpaw, Sunpaw, Starpaw, and Dovepaw XD orr you could do.... what other clan do you have cats in?)

OOC: Waterclan sounds like a good idea, I have Solarpaw there too =D
Sunpaw looked over to Dovepaw "Oh, Hey!" She turned her head to look at her "I'm fine with it!" then she turned back to where she was facing before. I hope there isn't too much mud that way she thought as she remembered getting so filthy the night before. But then she shrugged to herself, Nobody else cares so much about it, maybe it would even be.. fun she fluffed up her fur slightly at a chill breeze but it was soon gone. A small grin appeared on her face as she was warming to the idea of exploration more and more, perhaps these other apprentices would become more friends than they were beforehand, she took in a deep breath and shook her head a bit, making her fur slightly more messy, she almost felt more freedom now, freedom from her old naive personality, her almost friendless old shell. Now she was a new Sunpaw, a new light twinkled in her eyes, the light of adventure. Before she had rarely left the den and never gone too far from camp, but now she wanted to go as far as possible, push the boundaries of the world to their limits, her heart fluttered and she had to sit down before she got too carried away, now everything seemed more significant than before, every leaf and blade of grass, it was like she had just woken up, she liked it. She was now beaming at her companions widely "Let's go!" she yowled exitedly as her paws tingled, it was as if she were transformed into a totally new cat.

Starpaw smiled, seeing Sunpaw's eyes light up with the thrill of adventure. "Yeah! "she crowed. "C'mon, already!" she meowed impatiently, dashing off with a huge grin on her face...
(oh yeah! I forgot about Solarpaw ooops Hey, maybe in the returning apprentices thread the four of them could go and and run into these four? whaddya think?)

"D-dovepaw!" stammered Silentpaw nervously, "H-hi!" He lowered his eyes in embarrassment. He dashed off, not meeting Dovepaw's gaze, and tumbled clumsily after Sunpaw and Starpaw, who seemed to know the way better than he did. Soon he smelt WaterClan territory. "WaterClan!" he hissed to Starpaw excitedly. "Let's go," he said ignoring his friends shocked faces. "C'mon, guys! We only live once!" He hoped his bravery was impressing Dovepaw.

Dovepaw was about to turn around but then saw the cat and froze up lowering herself to the ground, but not in a crouch but in a fearful position, as if she would back away, Oh noes.. she whispered..
