Shockpaw paced backwards and fowards outside of the apprentice's den, backwards and fowards, backwards and fowards, increasing in speed. He was so bored! He just couldn't contain his energy, so he kept pacing, pacing, pacing.
Why was life so boring?

Smallkit walked over to Shockpaw, Something seems to be bothering him... she thought she walked faster and then smiled up at Shockpaw, H-Hello S-shockpaw! she squeaked. Smallkit was still a newborn and hadn't gotten used to chaining words, but she was doing pretty well. It was just new words that bothered her, How are you!?

Winterpaw walked behind Smallkit, chuckling at the kits words. She then meowed to Shockpaw, "Bored?"

Shockpaw jumped at the voices. "Hi Smallkit, hey Winterpaw. Yeah I am bored." he stopped pacing and sat down heavily. "I'm more than bored, I'm about to explode with boredom." he complained, his voice with it's usual pack-full of energy tones.

Smallkit blinked, and glared up at all of them, why were they so huge!? I wanna be an apprentice now! Smallkit whined. She was tired of being different from everyone. She was the only kit there too... 3 apprentices. She might as well turned into a mouse.

Graysky who had just been about to leave the camp, stopped when he heard his apprentices voice. Grinning he turned padding over to the group of cats, nudging Nightpaw playfully.
"I got an idea, how about we go hunting?"

Winterpaw giggled at Smallkit. "You'll be big soon! Just be patient!" Her blue eyes sparkled as she turned to Graysky. "That would be great, the supply is getting quite low. Even with leaf-bare, we should still have a bigger fresh-kill pile." She frowned.

Smallkit flattened her ears, with Graysky there she felt even smaller, I wanna go! She said happily, she never hunted before. Besides the leaves at the Flame Tree, but only her parents and Winterpaw knew about the meetings there. Smallkit looked at Winterpaw, she wanted to ask if her mother came back the previous night, but she wasn't aloud to speak about it with other cats. Smallkit decided to think about hunting again, Can I!?

Graysky grinned down at the small kit, and his grinned widened. "Why not, you like you'll grow up to be a mighty hunter. We better start training you now" he meowed seriously.

Winterpaw shook her head. "It's too risky. You don't know what might happen. Besides, Smallkit is still too young to go outside of camp." Her rank was higher than the warriors', but she always felt bad after using her authority.

"No Smallkit, you have to stay in camp, it's the warrior code." Winterpaw sighed, yet kept her ground, refusing to put Smallkit in danger of being found out. The kit would most likely bound off in the direction of FireClan.

Nightpaw just stared silently at every one as they all "argued". *sighs* He looked back at Greysky. "Maybe we should just go now before something . . . else . . . happens." he meows flatly He then looked back down at Smallkit, smiling. "And dont worry, itll be soon!" he promises

Winterpaw sighed heavily as she saw the flash of determination in Smallkit's eyes. "You both go ahead and hunt. I'm going to have a talk with Smallkit." Winterpaw peered down at Smallkit as she might an inferior insect.
