Silentpaw's eyes looked wildly around to check if his mentor and Redwing were okay. Obviously the fox finally realized that this territory was taken and turned, running away from the cats, heading into another clan's territory. Silentpaw ran after it, snapping his jaws at the fox's heels. "And don't come back!" He shouted at it as it slowly faded out of sight. "Woa," he said as he turned back to his clanmates, "That was so sudden! Do you think there might be any other foxes were that one came from?" His fur that was standing up on all ends were slowly lowering and smoothed against his pelt.

Bristlefur sat staring after the fox with wide eyes. It had come out of nowhere. Her gaze went to Redwing and then Silentpaw, "I'm not sure but we better make sure. And Silentpaw, I'm proud of you. You fought as bravely as any warrior" she meowed with a slight smile.
She turned to Redwing, her heart yowling at her to not do what she was about to do. "Redwing thanks for the help," she meowed giving him a friendly smile.
She stood, "well we better scout the rest of the area, come on."

Pride warmed Silentpaw on the cold winter day. He was beginning to feel more like a warrior everday. "Thankyou," he said. He padded faithfully after his mentor. "Are you coming Redwing?"

Redwing had to hold himself back when the fox beat a hasty retreat, lest he get himself killed trying to take the thing on.
"Cowardly beast." He hissed under his breath, his sides heaving and the scratches along them oozing blood, "Better not come back." How he loathed foxes!
Anger still boiling within, he nodded curtly, first at Bristlefur, then at Silentpaw, and whirled about to stalk after them, his tail lashing wildly.

"Allright!" said Silentpaw, a total contrast to Redwing's angry attitude, "Let's go!" He let Bristlefur take the lead, but he lifted his head anyway, tasting the air for fresh fox sent. He smelled the fould scent and asked, "Is it that way?" pointing with his nose to right of him.

Bristlefur turned to her right, scenting the air, she nodded. Turning in that direction she quickened her pace, her eyes darting back to Redwing. He looked angry still, in true she was to but he looked as if he were taking the attack personally.
She opened her mouth ready to ask, but snapped it shut thinking better of it. She'd ask when they alone.

Redwing all but ignored Bristlefur, and instead swung his head in an arch, tasting the air. The scent of fox hung heavy, and his muzzle wrinkled in outright disgust. His golden eyes searched the undergrowth hopefully for a few moments, but he finally turned away in disappointment.
"I think there was just the one." Mutters the tom, almost angrily, "But we should check, just to be sure, and warn the rest of the Clan."

"Allright," said Silentpaw, suddenly feeling awkward. The tension between his mentor and Redwing was confusing. Something was happening between these two.
Suddenly something caught his eye. "I found the fox den!" he called excitedly, pride swelling up in his cold black pelt. With his tail, he pointed to the den made of branches across the field.

She eyed the den with hate, before stalking toward it, "good job Silentpaw, I'll be sure to tell every one of your bravery."
She turned looking over from were they came, "we should go back and get the prey you caught before going back to camp."

Redwing glowered hatefully in the direction of the fox's den for a moment, before turning back to the two FireClan cats. "Well have to keep an eye on that." He grunted, "We don't want the mangy thing coming back."

Silentpaw's black pelt tingled with excitement. Everyone will know of my bravery! he thought. He rushed passed the older cats, sniffing the ground, and dug up all the prey that he had forgot about in the rush of the fight.

Helping with the prey, she quickly took a mouthful of fresh kill and lifted it in her mouth. Turning she left in the direction of the camp.
