Songkit and Flashkit's ceremony

Rippedpaw called out to Thunderpaw again. Then she went over to sit by Songkit. Rippedpaw saved a seat next to her for Thunderpaw to sit.

Forestfur puffed up. His kits were going to be formerly entered into the Clan!

Flashkit ran off to sit next to Rippedpaw. "Now the whole Clan will see me!" he squeked.

"And you deserve to be seen," Rippedpaw meowed to Flashkit. She looked over her shoulder to see if Thunderpaw was coming yet.

[snowfoot]

Thunderpaw squeezed through a couple of cats and sat down beside Rippedpaw, a couple of black feathers were around his mouth. He wiped them off with his paw, "Sorry," he mewed, embarresed "That bird was bigger than I thought"

"That's okay," Rippedpaw laughed.

Thunderpaw let out a purr then looked at Flashkit. "You're going to be an apprentice then? maybe we could all go hunting sometime?" he stopped and licked his paw then made sure there were no feathers left.

IC: That annoying small ray of light that always came threw into the den, aimed for the leader's eyes. Slowly, and reluctantly, Treestar slowly rose from the moss bedding. His long light brown tabby fur looked the color of a rotting leaf. His creamy underfur looked dull. Slowly, the leader remembered that he was going to throw a ceremony for young Flashkit and Songkit. With a wide yawn, the Earthclan leader slowly made his way up the slope to the entrance, and squinted at the new sun.

As the eyes of cats rested on him, Treestar gained his famous serious face that was so common on him, and turned to the stone overhead of the leader's den. With one powerful leap, Treestar felt his paws scrape its cool stone, yet his back legs almost didn't make it. That was odd. With his slim figure, the Earthclan leader should have gotten up easily like always. It couldn't be age, for the last gathering he had done, was of the deputy ceremony. That had only been a moon ago. Shaking off the odd feeling in the back of his mind, the leader turned to all his warriors and apprentices before him. Treestar didn't need to call for more to come. They were all already here. Odd....how long was I asleep? Treestar wondered in his mind once more, as he held back a yawn.

"Cats of Earthclan, I bring you here to announce the newest kits of Earthclan. Flashkit, and Songkit. May these two please step up?" Treestar's strong voice mewed threw the clearing. His dark yellow colored eyes flicked threw the crowed, before finally spotting the two kits near the apprentices. This reminded the leader of the fact that it shouldn't be long until Thunderpaw and Rippedpaw become warriors.



OOC: Let me know, Snowfoot and Spottedshadow, when you want Thunderpaw and Rippedpaw to become warriors. ^^

Rippedpaw flicked Flashkit with her tail, and nudged Songkit foward. She had a feeling that Treestar was thinking about her and Thunderpaw.

Wildflight emerged out of the warrior's den. She had took an afternoon nap and woke up with good timing as Treestar was about to make an announcement. She padded up to an empty spot in the clearing and licked her paw, wondering what kind of speech Treestar would make this time. As Treestar continued on, she blinked up in surprise as it was about the two new kits. It seemed like moons ago since there was ever a ceremony for the newborn kits. Wildflight blinked up with joy, feeling at last this was finally happening, breaking the ritual which had never happened before. Just like everybody else, she waited for Flashkit and Songkit to emerge out in front of the crowd.

Flashkit scrambled eagerly up and sat at the base of the rock, his tail twitching. He kneeded the ground with impatience and hissed back at his sister, "Hurry up slowpoke!"

[Tigerfur]

Songkit slowly and calmly padded forward. When she had reached her brother's side, she gave him a swat to the ear. "Don't tell me what to do!" She hissed under her breath. Then she turned back to Treestar waiting for him to continue.

Rippedpaw looked at the two kits. Then she pressed closer to Thunderpaw. Soon, they would become warriors.

Treestar broke his serious face, and gave a brief little smile as the two kits came up before him. Though, they seemed fuzzier than normal. The leader blinked, and refocused on the task at hand.

"Songkit and Flashkit. You have spent many moons in wait for this moment, and I think it is time. Because of the sudden loss of Rosefang, I have had too much on my paws to announce your arrival to the clan. I will be sure to not let you two miss out on this..." The Earthclan leader turned to Flashkit first. Seeing that he was the one that looked like he would burst out of his fur if he was to wait any longer. Tension was clear in the air. "Flashkit. Do you promise to train under your mentor, and learn the ways of the Warrior Code?" The light brown tom asked, feeling his body sway oh so slightly for some reason. The leader quickly turned to Songkit as well. "Songkit. Do you promise to train under your mentor, and learn the ways of the Warrior Code?" The reason he had asked both at the same time, was so that way they could both answer without wait. Hopefully this would save time for the other task that still needed to be done.

Thunderpaw leaned against Rippedpaw and purred, awaiting the kits answers. He couldn't help but notice that he and Rippedpaw were probably ready to become warriors. He began to wonder what their new names would be when they did become warriors. Excitement flashed inside as if he were in the middle of his own ceremony, he stopped. He was thinking ahead, even if it was soon it was right this moment. He refocuse on Flashkit and Songkit.

Flashkit leaped up. "I do!"

OOC: Seeing as these kits are becoming apprentices and Lakeripple's are older, it seems only fair that they be made apprentices too. But Froststar is never on, so there is no deputy and no leader to make them apprentice. Nightmoon is barely on too. What should I do?

Rippedpaw watched the kits become apprentices. She remembered when she became a apprentice. Now she was almost a warrior.

[Tigerfur]

Songkit replied without hesitation in her voice. "I do!"

Rippedpaw sleek black pelt twiched. She flicked Thunderpaw's ear with her ripped tail. She glance up at Treestar with large amber eyes. She wanted to be a warrior, more then anything. Well, she thought with a single glance at Thunderpaw, almost anything...

OOC: Well, I have a idea who could be medicine cat, so Cherrykit could be his apprentice! ^^ But for Birchkit and Cedarkit....I don't know.......the new leader of that clan is going to have to do it. *grins and winks*

Oh, and no one has noticed something important yet!!! Only Snowfoot, and I had to point the hints out to him. So, I shall do the same here. Look closely at all my posts in this thread with Treestar. DON"T YELL IT OUT LOUD IF YOU GET IT PLEASE!!!!! XP




IC: Treestar gave a breif smile once more, before looking at his son, Forestfur. The leader's eyes seemed to sparkle slightly to show how happy he was despite the lack of a smile. "Forestfur, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You will be mentor to Songpaw. Forestfur, you have shown yourself to be a warrior of strength and bravery. Do your best to pass on these qualities to Songpaw." As those words were done, the leader turned to his son's mate. "Leaffur, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You will be mentor to Flashpaw. Leaffur, you have shown yourself to be a warrior of wisdom and loyalty. Do your best to pass on these qualities to Flashpaw." Treestar would have said the same words for Forestfur, but he wanted to say something different to both.

With a short pause, Treestar turned to the apprentices, Thunderpaw and Rippedpaw, and gestured to them silently to come forward after they were done calling out the new names.

IC: Dewpelt called out the new apprentice's names cheerfully. that reminded him, he should go out to train Acornpaw again soon. he was happy that the clan finally had new apprentices so that the clan'll grow strong. then he saw Wildflight on the other side, in a pretty good mood herself. he smiled and padded over after grinning to the new mentors and apprentices in congradulations. "hey Wildflight" he purred and sat down beside her, thingying his head happily. "isn't it great to have new blood in the clan?"

the day was beautiful and clear for once in many suns. maybe new-leaf will come early this year.
