It seemed like an ordinary night at the Giant Oak, with the dark night finally settling in after a warm sunny day, and the silence of the evening except for a few crickets. Even the prey were silent. However, this night wasn't like all the others. Tonight, the moon shone full and bright, giving the clearing a white eery light. Silverpelt shone brightly from the skies, lighting up the smooth green leaves of the oak tree.
There didn't seem to be any noise at all, until a leaf rustled.
A cat stepped out of the dense undergrowth and scented the air. He seemed calm and even excited. He stood still for a heartbeat, then with a flicker of his dark ginger tail, he bounded into the clearing, with a stream of cats following him.
It was FireClan, ready for tonight's gathering.
OOC: now for all the rest of the leaders to post and have their clans enter. =D And if you don't know, ANY clan cat can be in the gathering except for kits. So yeah, you can just keep RPing in ur current threads and still post in this, since this is only temporary. =3 Have fun!

With her shoulders rolled back and head held high, the she-cat padded silently on the rough gravel. The weather had been warm for the past few days and everything seemed to run smoothly. She paused to take a whiff and carried on, flickling her tail mentioning for her clan to follow. Creeping just a few tail lengths from FireClan was LightningClan. OOC: SOrry for such a short post. Had to cram this in with my tight schedule.

A ginger and white tom slowly padded among the crowd of FireClan cats, his golden eyes catching the light of the full moon. The young warrior pushed his way through the brush, ears flat, but not out of anger. This would be Redwing's first Gathering in quite a while, and the gaunt cat's head darted back and forth across the clearing, his expression both curious and cautious.
Redwing paused a few tail-lengths from the Great Oak's base, his ears swiveling all around and his nostrils flaring as many, many cats began to flood into to the clearing. The different scents were grating to his nose, but the tom watched without flinching as streams of strangers appeared from the undergrowth.

IC: Amber eyes gazed wearily upon the Fireclan and Lightningclan cats before him. The tom's normally muscular body structure was visually fragile looking. Even his long, light brown tabby fur couldn't hide the weak muscles underneath. Despite the cat's current body structure, he let his fluffy tail rise, and bounded off after the other two clans. The cats that followed seemed to have a cloud of weariness above them as they watched their sick leader lead the way to the gathering.
Despite all of this, Treestar and Earthclan was here, and ready for the gathering.
OOC: I'm guessing Thawpelt doesn't have to represent Skyclan again, seeing as Rosefeather is back! YAY!!!

Wildheart forced herself to sit patiently and wait for the gathering to start. The scent of other cats swirled around her nose. It was her first gathering as a warrior and the excitement of Burningstar mentioning it to all the clans hurt more than claws raking across her face. 'Oh let the other clans except me!' she thought.

Puffing her fur, Wildflight emerged out of the brambles with the rest of the EarthClan cats in front of her. She could scent two clans already there, awaiting for their arrival. Again, there were many cats swirming with excitement. It was the start of another new gathering.
Padding shly with the rest of the cats, Acornpaw turned her gaze towards the ground. She had been quiet as a mouse at the last two gatherings. This time, she was hoping to make some friends with the apprentices. That is, if it was going to be successful. Sighing, and shaking off the bad thoughts, she continued walking until she reached the clearing. Taking a quick glance, and seeing that there were no lonely apprentices like her, a rush of disappoinment rush through her. She had no choice but to sit down and curl up.
She stopped and rose her tail in signal for her clan to settle down. Did she then walk up to the oak and took a graceful leap onto it. Nodding her head to regard the only leader there-Burningstar, she asked, "Hello Burningstar. How do you do?"

Shadowprint padded from the bushes with the rest of Earthclan. he looked around and spotted the Fireclan cats in the claering, already spreading out with the clans who were already present. and then there she was: Wildpaw, the cat who he ha noticed at gatherings before. "huh, shouldnt it be about time for her warrior ceremony?" he thought to himself. Shadowprint tried to make his way through the tide of cats to find his friends. he wouldnt approach her, not yet. she was in a different clan after all, so he shouldnt even like her! no use in telling that to himself, he still though she was the most beautiful cat in all the world.
OOC: no one knows that he has feelings for a Fireclan cat yet so no sticking in that some cat suspects something yet please! Secret loves should stay secret at least for a while. =^..^=

OOC: It's Wildheart not wildpaw oh wait!! nvm i get it! ;D Wildheart was watching the cats as they headed in and immeadiatly spotted Shadowprint. Her heart leaped at the sight of him. His handsome eyes, gleaming under the moonlight, his strong muscels rippeling under his fiery orange pelt. Almost in an instant we locked eyes. It was the first time that this happened to her and she was utterly confused by the feeling. She took a deep breath and bravely walked up to him. "Greetings... Shadowprint," she said in her most coolest voice trying to not show any intrest, "I do believe my friends said you were a cat I should meet." The lie burnt on her tongue like a hot greenleaf day. All they said about him was bad stuff. How could that possibly be true? That was it. She couldn't lie to herself anymore. She loved him and that was that. Dewfeather sat with her sister, Pantherclaw, leaning heavily on her shoulder still fragile from the fox fight at the Lake of Fire (FireClan rp, FireClan territory, Lake of Fire, Hunting Patrol). The scratches burnt deeply on her arm but she still insisted on being there tonight, standing prouldy with her clan that she was truly loyal to. She then spotted cherrypaw, her friend, the WaterClan medicine cat apprentice. "Greetings, Cherrypaw," she purred happily, "I hope that the prey is running smoothly?"

Padding quietly through the bushes, a fine-haired white she-cat stared out across the clearing. Her gleaming blue eyes took in all the scents of the cats before, the strange smells of the others Clans... except one. Dawnflight sat back on her haunches as she watched her birth-Clan mill about, half waiting for the rest of WaterClan to emerge and half frightened that someone would recognize their old Medicine Cat.
Redwing yawned, staring off into the distance. He wasn't usually one for socializing, although the tom supposed it might do him some good to see how the prey was running for the other Clans. Golden eyes flicked about, looking for someone he recognized until they finally froze on Wildheart. He blinked at the FireClan she-cat, rose to his paws, but then decided against it and simply sat down again since she seemed to be preoccupied with talking to an EarthClan warrior.

OOC: By the way, ilovewarriors, when do you want Acornpaw to be made a warrior?
IC: Treestar padded threw the crowd of cats to the side of the other two leader, hissing at his two escorts before leaping onto a branch. Ever sense his sickness started, the warriors seemed to be taking turns guarding his den, and now they were escorting him everywhere. The normally quiet and peaceful leader was starting to get annoyed by this. "Greetings to both of you. Have you visited Starclan yet, Mossheart?" Treestar asked, dipping his head to each leader in turn. He meant the question lightly, and not in at all a way of challenge.
Thawpelt squeezed his way threw the crowd of talking warriors and apprentices. The oddly colored tom chuckled at the sight of how joyful they seemed to be here. The Skyclan tom let his dark blue eyes sweep threw the cats in the gathering, and felt his heart sink as Snowstep was not spotted. Thawpelt gave a small sigh and took a seat where he was. The she-cat normally found him first anyway.
Pondshine bounded into the clearing with the rest of the Waterclan cats, hardly able to contain herself. Lakeripple had make her and Smokeshadow warriors at last! The new warrior gave the apprentices an "I told you so" look, before racing threw the crowd in search of Acornpaw. Those mean Waterclan apprentices won't tease her any more! Once the silver-blue she-cat found the lonely Acornpaw, she could hardly contain it. All her words just pored out at once onto the possibly startled Earthclan she-cat. "Acornpaw! You won't believe it! Lakeripple finally made Smokeshadow and I warriors! How are you? Have you seen Smokeshadow? Have you been made a warrior yet?" Pondshine talked so quickly that her emerald eyes didn't stay on Acornpaw for long, but possibly did the quickest sweep of the gathering known to cat before looking back at Acornpaw.
Foxcloud followed Burningstar closely, only pausing to glare at a misbehaving kit. The normally snappy she-cat may as well have been a snapping turtle sense Moonlitpaw had been missing. The Fireclan deputy had even lashed out at a warrior blindly, and possibly scared all the prey when the red-orange she-cat went into the forest to release her anger. As Foxcloud took her seat at the foot of the Giant Oak, the fiery deputy felt her heart sink as she rapped her tail around her paws. Moonlitpaw had always been Foxcloud's closest friend. It all is Firemist's fault...it is her fault! The Fireclan deputy felt fire suddenly erupt in her chest. It was always her fault!
Brightstone took a small glance threw the Lightninglcan cats in search of his apprentice, Fuzepaw. The bright yellow tom had felt bad for not training the apprentice lately, and was beginning to feel guilty. With little luck, the tom felt his tail and ears droop as he took a seat in the heart of the Lightningclan cats.

Padding around the many cats Bristlefur stared around blankly, she had never been to a gathering before, she didn't know what to do. Was she to talk to others, make friends? She snorted, make friends? Her? Like that would every happen, she didn't have friends, just...clan mates. They weren't the same as friends, were they? Turning she made her way to the back, hiding in the shadows away from the others.
Flypaw stared wide eyed at the many cats that had gathered near the giant oak, her first time being her. It was amazing, so peaceful. Her eyes softened, here all the clans were as one. Together. Padding forward she scanned the crowd hopping to meet the other clans medicine cats.
Graysky padded threw the cats, tail held high and head held confidently. He scanned the crowd of cats quickly before deciding to talk to a lonely looking she-cat who sat away from the other cats. As he padded toward her he could smell her Waterclan sent. He would have turned and padded in the other direction but boredom had him approaching her anyways. And as he got closer he could smell herbs as well, she was a medicine cat. But the thought didn't make him turn away, "hello there, who are you?"

Redwing's nose twitched as the wind shifted, blowing a familiar scent to his nose. Ears flattening and a growl rising in his throat, he swung his head about to glimpse Bristlefur padding away. Angrily, the ginger and white warrior looked away, glaring off to his right and unnerving a pair of flighty looking apprentices.
Echostep padded in behind Graysky, tail twitching rhythmically. There was always something about a Gathering that got her into a good mood. Maybe it was the guaranteed peace? Or maybe just the sight of the full moon made her whiskers quiver happily. Either way, the normally strict she-cat trotted amiably behind the tom, her ears pricking when she noticed the white cat. She'd never met her before, but she could scent the heady aroma of many herbs wafting about her fur, and assumed she was a Medicine Cat... but of which Clan?
Dawnflight looked up with a start when a tom and a she-cat--SkyClan by their scents--moved toward her. Her white ears twitched, and she gave her chest a nervous swipe of her tongue.
"Oh, hello." She meowed tentatively, "My name's Dawnflight. I'm the new Medicine Cat of WaterClan." Her bright, intelligent blue eyes looked both of them over curiously, her cheery nature shining through. "And who might you two be?"

Rippedtail followed her clan. The Fireclan deputy, Foxcloud, looked like some kind of fire wrapped over her. Many of the other clans were there already.

OOC: Omg. Totally forgot about this. *sigh* Oh, I'm not sure, maybe in another few weeks. I know that pondpaw and smokepaw have already did theirs, but I still have a thread to finish with Dewpelt.
Thrusting her head quickly at the perk of her name, Acornpaw scrambled up and saw that it was Pondpaw who had greeted her. "Hello Pondpaw" she replied to her. Her eyes grew round as Pondpaw had rushed out her words. A feeling of happiness and envy washed through her as she heard of Pondpaw's ceremony which she on the other hand, had not yet done. But she knew that her day would be soon. Very soon. "Congragulations. I'm not a warrior yet, but I will be soon." she replied shly, her thoughts back to Pondpaw's conversation. She felt embarrassed as she had called her Pondpaw when she first greeted her. "Um...what's your warrior name then?"
Mossheart dipped her head at Treestar's arrival. She stiffled her laugh at Treestar's annoyance at his two guards. After hearing his question, her heart thudded from anxiety. She had dreaded this question!!! (DUN DUN DUN) "No...not yet" she replied lightly, and ever so coldly at bringing in this topic. "It's just.....there's been many clan duties I still have to get use through first but it'll be soon." She averted her gaze from his, hoping that he wouldn't question further.
Spottednose stepped away from her clanmates, hoping to look for other medicine cats whom she could talk to. And there, she spot, was Dewfeather talking to another group of cats. Approaching up to them, she broke in, "Hello there."

Rosefeather shivered. Tonight she would represent SkyClan in Wolfstar's position. Her Clan followed her, they could almost feel her worry. She knew that the other Clans would see the leader's absence as weakness, but she had come up with an excuse if any cat sneered at SkyClan, so she felt safer. She flicked her tail from side to side to signal for SkyClan to go down the hill. She followed the last apprentice with her head held high.
Lilypaw walked around groups of excited apprentices, boring elders, and proud warriors. She wasn't looking for anyone, she just wanted to find something or someone to spend the few moments before the leaders began the meeting with. She saw the almost late SkyClan flow down the hill. She barely noticed that she didn't see Wolfstar's pelt. The deputy's fur seemed to stick up straight. Lilypaw turned to find a good seat in front to hear the leaders.
Froststar trotted to the overhang that led to the hollow of the Giant Oak. Her fur bristled with embarassment when she realized that her Clan was the last to arrive. She flicked her tail and raan at the head of her Clan. "Be careful what you say." she said grimly and then she made her way to the Oak. She almost ran into Rosefeather, deputy of SkyClan. Froststar looked around. "Where is Wolfstar?" she asked coolly.
Rosefeather glared back. "She had to stay with a sick elder friend." Her great comeback choaked her words and jumbled the first thing that came to mind.
"Sure. I expect you'll be taking her place in the Gathering then." Froststar said, then gracefully took her place on a crooked root.
Winterpaw dodged warriors, queens, and elders, searching for the prophecy cats. Thunderwing, Foxcloud, Smokepaw, Acornpaw, and Pondpaw were no where to be found. It was funny how she considered Pondpaw a prophecy cat now. The prophecy cats were kind of a family, bonded through a secret they alone must bear. She sat down, knowing she would see them sometime.

OOC: hey Rosefeather, how come u're playing Acornpaw's character? 0.o and sorry for super late post. >.< now i've gotta fill in all my missing spots....... hah took me forever to read it. xP
IC: Burningstar greeted all the leaders as they arrived, jumping up onto the Giant Oak. He noticed the two cats closely body-guarding Treestar. He wondered what that was about, and noticed that the normally enthusiastic leader looked weak tonight. He frowned but didn't say anything. He was going to say something when he was interrupted by the EarthClan leader's question to Mossheart. Indeed, it was the same question he was about to ask. He saw that Mossheart looked reluctant when she replied that she hadn't recieved her warrior name yet, and it didn't look like she was telling the whole truth. The suspense was really killing him and he wanted to find out why, but just then the last clan arrived, and he knew the ceremony should start soon. maybe i'll find out later and have a talk with her afterwards.
Snowstep arrived a little late, having to quickly finish up getting a couple loads of prey back to camp. She almost forgot about the gathering and had to get all her catches back alone, since most of the cats were already headed for the gathering. She raced down into the clearing and instantly spotted Thawpelt's odd coloured fur, and hurried over to him. The running back and forth got her all active and a little hyper. "Thawpelt!" she greeted him, still standing and pacing a little. "You should have waited for me" she joked, scanning the area for some of her other friends whom she hadn't seen for a moon.
Smokeshadow followed closely after Pondshine, his fur standing up almost. He knew they were going ot be awknowledged in front of all the clans today, but the thing is, he didnt like being the center of attention. Being in the midst of all these cats already got his mind stiffened, and he didn't want any more stress on himself tonight. As he padded over to the beautiful silver-blue shecat, whose fur was shining more silver than ever under the full moon, he saw that she was talking with Acornpaw. "Did you get your warrior name yet?" he asked quietly, having missed their whole conversation. He came to sit beside Pondshine, almost automatically, since the two have been together almost all the time now. She still didn't seem to notice though, that his heart always beat faster around her and that his eyes shone with the unusual warmth when watching her...
