Nike meets Sunset

OOC: I hope your friends will accept Nike!!!

Nike walked around in the strange land. I smell other cats, but I dont see any Nike thought. He saw a puddle of water and started to lap at it. His ears pricked, ready for anything. A small scruffling sound draws his attention. A squirel? he thinks. He drops into the hunters crouch and stocks forward. *a squirel is hunting for some food* His belly growls and he stocks closer, making sure he's downwind from his prey. Then, he catches the whiff of another cat... upwind. The squirel stiffens and starts to chatter, running for a tree. Nike hisses and follows quickly. Just before the squirel can get away, he pounces on it and kills it. When he's sure it was dead, he tastes the air for the cat. Gone already? Nike thought, but he can smell it a little ways behind him. Ahh... so your trying to hide your scent aey?? Nike thinks to himself. Body tense, he bends down and starts to eat the squirel. "Yum." he says softly when he finished it. He tasted the air. The cats waiting for me to loose my gaurd he thought. Good luck with that. Then the wind changes and he knows exactly were the cat is. He turns quickly and pounces on a she-cat. Claws and teeth bared, he caught her by surprise. The look on her face makes him let go and roll over laughing. The she-cat glares at him, but he continues to laugh very hard.

OOC: *takes a deep breath* Man, that was some hard typen. *faints* "So tired!" mumbled BlackFoxx. then really faints.

Bird watched the new from in the brambles. How dare he hunt here! This was Sunset's territory. "Why have you come here?" Bird hissed from her hiding place. She didn't dare come out, unless this cat seemed hostile. Dropping into an attacking crouch, Bird waited for his response.

ooc: It will take some work for Bird to accept Nike. She is very suspicion of everybody, but that's just how she is.

Sunset strolled out of the bushes. "Lower your guard Bird, we've got him outnumbered." She padded up to the tom and looked him the eyes. "What are you doing here?" She asked, her green eyes glaring angrily at him. "You have passed my scent markers. Don't try to run, we will welcome you if you prove yourself. You are surrounded, by my friends. Smell, don't show fear. I pity fearful, and lunch."

OOC: That ko... but i still hope the others will!!!

Nike shrugs and says, "Does it really matter. I was just looking for food, and if you want me to leave, i can." Nike sat down, then he started laughing for no reason. Man these cats never will understand. "Anyways, will you let me leave, or do i have to fight u to get away?" he challenged.

"Fight?" Sunset looked puzzled. "Who said anything about fighting. We just want you to sheath your claws, right Bird," she spat at the younger she-cat. "You are welcome to stay for a while, there is lots of space, and we have dry dens and food. I am Sunset, and this is my territory. That is Bird, who attacked you, normally she isn't as feisty. In the bushes are Skywalker, Stream, and Misty. Who can come out now!" she raised her voice.

Bird came out of the bushes. She spat at the rogue in front of her. "I'll fight you if you want me too," Bird hissed glancing briefly at Sunset as if to tell her there was no stopping from doing what she was going to do. Unsheathing her claws, Bird dropped into a fighting crouch. "We can fight now!" Bird almost tasted the rogues blood, but she wanted him to attack her first. She wanted to try her great new defensive move out.

ooc: Bird is always ready for a fight, also she knows a little of the bird language (from Byakko).

OOC: Are you guys going to tell them they can come in??? or what??? He's more of a nice cat, not a fighting cat... but if he has to, he will fight. And i luv it how your cat can speak bird!!!!!!!! is that why her name is Bird??? My spelling sucks...sry!!!!!!!

IC: Nike shrugged, "I wont fight you, I already now that we will probably tie eachother. I dont want to fight, if you are being nice to me." He kept his claws out, because Bird was ready to attack. "If you want a fight, you have to start it, but otherwise i wont fight you... you kit." Nike taunted the cat. Bird hissed, but didnt move. Nike saw a butterfly go by. "Oooo, a butterfly." Nike started to chase it. When his paws touched the wings, he let go so it could continue to fly. More cats came out of the bushes. Nike gave a curt nod, but said nothing to them. "You would really let a rogue you dont even know, come into your pack type thing?" Nike asked caustiously. "O, by the way, Im Nike......" he trailed off, because the she-cat started to hiss in frustration. *mrrw* "Your not getting a fight from me... unless you start it." Nike reminded Bird.

"Call me a kit one more time," Bird couldn't finish her sentence. She spat straight toward rogue. "What are you too scared to fight a small little she-cat?" Bird taunted her size as a challenge. She wouldn't let this 'peaceful' rogue take for a fool. She darted forward and leapt up to land on Nike's shoulders.

ooc: Her name is explained in her bio.

"Bird!" Sunset snapped. "I said no! As for you," she whirled to Nike. "Bird is most likely a better fighter than you will ever be. She may be young and not very cautious, but she will protect those she loves without fail. And we aren't rogues! That's a cruel name that was given to us by my ancestors. We are a mini Clan, a sort of family. Something you would never know with that attitude!" She ended with a hiss.

ooc: Pikeru plays Skywalker, and Snowfoot plays Misty and Stream. Snowfoot hasn't been on in a while, and Pikeru is in Texas, and only on temporarily...

Bird stood up. Now Nike was going to get it! "Tweet, squawk, fweep," she hissed, or rather squawked, at the rogue. She loved to confuse other cats by speaking bird. She has had great conversations with bird in the past. They were quite intellegent, and now she barely bare it when Sunset ate a bird. Byakko had warned her...

*mrrw* "Wow, I never knew a cat that could speak bird! That's amazing." Nike smiled. Try to confuuse me, I could careless he thought. He turned his head to Sunset. "Your right, I shouldnt call all of you that name. It's unfair that cats can just place names on others without actually caring if its good or not for them." Nike said calmly. "If it makes you all feel better, all though you all might get mad at this, I was from a clan. Kick me out, I wouldnt blaim you all. I was Stripedpaw." Nike shrugged when he heard the gasps. Then he turned his gaze to Bird. "Kit." he taunted back at her. She hissed and sprang. He jumped up and landed on her back, bringing her to the ground. (Ko, she landed on her side, his paws {sheathed} pin her paws down so she cant strike back... that it all) Nike leaded in closer, "Dont mess with me, if you know what's good for you!" Nike got off and started to walk away. "I'll leave all of your territory now." He said wver his shoulder. Then, one called out to him to stop. He turned around again.

OOC: Man, that ko that they arent on... and its your choise to let him stay or not.... he will be better, the more he knows you guys... if you let him stay.

ooc: that post was very much a powerplay. I never said that Bird attacked Nike.

ic: Bird sprang for the retreating rogue. "You asked for this by calling me a kit," she hissed. Bird whirled around the rogue (most cats [even foxes] became quite dizzy by that move). She stopped and head butted Nike in the flank. "If you think you can win this battle with a couple slick words, or a piece of your history, think again," she hissed. Bird turned and ran back to Sunset. "Sorry," she muttered, "but you heard him. He called me a kit. I hope he rots in a deep dark hole." Bird whispered the last sentence, so only Sunset could hear it.

OOC: sry... tired and didnt know wat to type..... i stupid and sry!!!!!!!

iC: Nike fell to his side. He started to laugh again. "Was that all?" he sat up again. He shrugged and added, "You get affended really easily. And was the move suppose to do something? Never mind." Nike started to walk away again. "That was fun." he said in a low voice, but still loud enough for the others to here. Before he walked off, he spelt another squirel. He turned around, I wonder if they will care.... he trailed off when he heard a noise. *In the distance, a dog is running loose, its follow Nike's trail* "Stupie-mouse brain! I should have know that mutt would follow me!" Nike spat. He turned towards were the dog was coming from and headed in that direction. "Man, i should have known better than to let a dumb mutt follow me!" Nike hissed and ran towards the closer sound of a dog bark.

OOC2: ko... ill be at camp till saturday... or something like that... so i wont be able to respond for a while!!!! that is all....... and im still sry!!!!

OOC: I'm not in Texas yet...though it would be a good excuse over the factor that I'm lazy and could hall my lazy butt off to post here. XP



IC: "ENOUGH!" Skywalker yowled as he stepped threw the tall grass a few paces ahead of Nike. The jet black tom's fur was on end down the spine, and his fluffed up tail was lashing angrily. Thanks to his tribe ears, he had just barely caught what Bird added to her sentence from this far away. The sound of the barking dog in the distance was ignored as his old tribe ways clouded the tom's thoughts. His dark blue-green eyes narrowed as he gazed from Nike, to the two she-cats, and then back. "What in spirit's sake is going on here!?" Skywalker questioned, his odd accent made clear this was not his origin. The tribe cat's eyes flashed to Bird. A small fire burning deep withing them. "What is the meaning of all of this fighting? The anniversary of my tribe's death must be filled with war and hatred?" the tom's voice became softer, and his mind less clouded. There was maybe even a trace of pain within it as he recalled the horrible flood that washed him and his tribe away.

Bird looked down at her paws. "Sorry, but you heard him. He called me a kit, twice! He deservse to get eaten by the dog," Bird meowed. She new that rogue was lying. That move did hurt him. Even if he said it didn't. She killed a fox using that.

Skywalker, Sunset mewed, "he did tease her, but," now she whirled angrily to Bird. "I told you to leave him be. And did you, did you? NO!"

OOC: I read his bio... and it is so sad!!! i had tears... no joke!!! Also, I want your permission, can Nike start to like Bird... because Dapplepaw hasnt been on forever!!! That is all.

IC: Nike took a step back. "Yes, but I still shouldnt have done that to her." He turned his lime green eyes on Bird. "Sorry I called you a kit... twice... that was uncalled for." He dipped his head in appoligy. He winced from the pain... (was it the side she hit???) and took another step back. Then he turned back to Skywalker. "I will leave your lands, just wait till I teach that stupid mutt another lesson." Nike waited patiently for the others to reply.

ooc: Sure why not, but she'll be hard to win over!

Bird was rather taken aback by Nike's sudden change of heart. It kind of creeped her out. "What's gotten into him?" she asked Skywalker. She said that quietly so only Skywalker and Sunset could her.

Sunset snorted. "You should be talking to me, these are my lands!" Then she turned to Skywalker and smiled. "Though Skywalker of course has rights here, all that I have."

OOC: Astra10's charrie Breeze will be joining the "gang", to kind of bridge the gap with the loss of Misty and Stream. Breeze cannot hear, and sees with only one eye. She used to live in the Clans, and is related to Sunset through Moonrise (Moonrise's sister Goldenbrook's kit), though neither of them know that.

Nike turned his gaze to Sunset. "Sorry, I forgot it was your land in the first place." he dipped his head in appoligy. He winced again and hid the pain by laughing. I will not live a life of hatred. I will not live my life by teasing others. Did I leave my clan for this?! No! I will stop this now! Nike thought to himself. He sighed and turned towards the sound of the closing in dog. There is no way I can fight like this, but maybe I can lead it away from the other cats. And he started to limp towards the sound.
