Lakeripple flicked her tail back and forth, waiting for her apprentice. She paced the legnth of the cave, and hissed impatiently. Worry burned in her chest. It must be her motherly instincts still acting up. Though she was deputy, her kits were still in the nursery, being cared for by other queens. Froststar hadn't finished the ceremony, and she missed Cherrykit, Cedarkit, and Birchkit's warm fur pressing against her. Standing up strait, she sniffed deeply, and sighed relief. Toxicpaw was coming up fast.

She looks worried Toxicpaw thought. I hope I dont get into to much trouble, and I hope I do a good job for her. Toxicpaw walked up eagerly. She dipped her head in respect. "Where are we going to go?" Toxicpaw asked excitedly. Through her excitement, she forgot about her brother, but then his image came back into her head. Toxicpaw's face fell and she wanted to see him soon. She pricked her ears, so she could hear Lakestar.
OOC: It is Lakestar.... right???

Lakeripple looked down at the she-cat in relief. "You're here, so it's time for some fishing." She bounded down the rocks, her sleek blue-gray pelt shining, water bouncing on the ends of each hair. Then she leaned over the bottom of the waterfall, and, making sure that Toxicpaw was watching, flicked a paw in and pulled out a silvery fish. It flew into the air, and she caught it daintily in her mouth, biting through it's throught, and killing it. "So, you think you can copy?"['b] she asked mischieveously, licking her lips at the thought of the juicy fish she had snared.

OOC: Dang it! sry about calling you Lakestar then. 
Toxicpaw watched happily. This I hope I can do she thought. She looked deep into the water. Silver fish swam slowly in the water. Toxicpaw lifted her paws, ready to strike. She flicked the fish up into the air, but it was to slippery in her paws. It slid through back into the water, but Toxicpaw was quicker and snatched it back out of the water. She bit its neck, and it finally stopped moving. Her face, chest, and paws were soaking wet. *hiss* "I hate getting wet!" Toxicpaw hissed. She watched her mentor to see her reaction. That was the worst catch ever! she thought bitterly.

Lakeripple looked at the sopping wet apprentice... and laughed. "Good job" she mewed, while shaking histerically. "Most cats cannot catch a fish on their first try. Not the most dainty of catches, but you got it." She poked Toxicpaw with her nose in a good natured way. "Now, we feast!" And with that the deputy stepped to her catch and immediantly began chewing. Her mind wandered. When would she again see Skywatcher? Her brother was in the rouge lands, somewhere, with Sunset, and Bird, and Misty, and the other friends he had made. Was he thinking of her too?

Toxicpaw shook the water from her pelt. "Thank you... is it really that hard to....." she stops, noticing that her mentor is lost in thought. Toxicpaw shuts her mouth quickly. "I think I'd rather take my food to the elders or something." she added very quickly. I want to prove that my scent doesn't mean anything Toxicpaw thought bitterly. "Why does every one hate me." she mummbes, forgeting her mentor is still there. Toxicpaw sat down, waiting for her mentor to reply.

Lakestar blinked her thoughts away from her brother. "I don't hate you Toxicpaw. I understand you." She sighed and took a deep breath. "Can you keep a secret? If you can, I'll tell you something that I've only ever told Eagletalon, my mate," she blushed. "And my brother.

Toxicpaw looked up startled. "Oops! You werent suppose to hear me say that." Then she looked closely into Lakeripples eyes. "Im very good at keeping secrets. I have one to but Im not sure if I can trust anyone to tell yet. I would be honored if you told me." Toxicpaw said calmly. She moved closer, trying to give her mentor some caurage to tell her.

Lakeripple nodded. "I thought I could. Alright, here goes. I wasn't born here in WaterClan. I was born in what is called a tribe. My name was Raincatcher. We lived near the ocean, about a day's run from here, and our traditions never failed us. Then, on the dawn of my second moon, a large wave hit, drowning all of the tride, except two, me and my brother. My father ran all the way here, with my scruff in his mouth, and placed me near the camp, because he had heard tell of cats living here. My mother took my brother and ran there," she pointed to the distant hills, "To near the rogue lands. He never forgot, but I did. I hit my head falling down this very waterfall two days later, and forgot everything, until recently. I met my brother again, and remember my past, and the traditions that live in me, Skywatcher, and my three kits. If anyone found out that I wasn't born here, I'd be like you. So I hide it from them. No one remembers that I wasn't born to a WaterClan queen, and I prefer it that way. But I know how you feel, like you don't belong, only no other cat treats me different. Someday, you'll be highly respected too. I can feel it."
OOC: This really happened to her, me and Pikeru changed her past after I created her!

Toxicpaw looked at her mentor. "I knew it. I knew you werent clan born. Everytime I was near you, you smelt different from everyone else. But I never really knew why. And thnx for telling me this... Lakeripple. But I dont think I can ever be up as high as you will ever be. Im not good enough." Toxicpaw looked down sadly. "Ill never be as good as you." and because of your clan, my last brother has left me she thought bitterly. She would never tell this to Lakeripple. Should I tell her about Nightpaw? She is clan deputy... so should I? This is so confusing! Toxicpaw thought sadly. "Can I trust you... that is the real question." Toxicpaw said softly.

Silverpaw was on a fishing mission from Brooksplash. Brooksplash would catch up soon. As Silverpaw bounded up to the river, she saw Lakeripple and Toxicpaw over by the river. They must be training! she thought. As she padded over to mentor and apprentice, she noticed that there was a tense silence in the air TO break it,Silverpaw mewed "Hi Lakeripple and Toxicpaw! Are you training?"
OOC: Lakeripple here with Silvah, I'll bring Brooksplash in soon.

Brooksplash yawned and followed her apprentice's scent trail. She padded quietly forward, and smelled Lakeripple and Toxicpaw. Great, more company, she inwardly groaned

"Great, now i dont think i want to talk about now. Maybe later... Lakeripple." Toxicpaw said to her mentor. Yes, and just because you are my mentor, doesnt mean you will like my chose of friends. "Hello Silverpaw, Brooksplash." Toxicpaw dipped her head. At least now i have more time to think about telling her about Nightpaw..... and my other siblings, but not with these new cats. Toxicpaw looked at her mentor. "Do you want me to take my fish to some one, or should i actually eat it?" she asked politely, wanting to get away from the two watching eyes. I no they hate me, i just no it Toxicpaw thought sadly.

Wolfpaw bounced into the clearing, whiskers twitching at the delicious scent of freshly caught fish.
"Hello everybody~~ Whoa, am I interrupting a party?" Wolfpaw sang out, spotting the four cats. "I'm totally borrrrrred. My mentor seems to have disappeared..." Her eyes lit up at the sight of food. "Want me to help you carry your enormous catch back to camp, Toxicpaw?" She joked, amethyst eyes glinting playfully. She continued to bounce around, wondering why the atmosphere surrounding her four Clanmates was so tense, water lapping at her paws.

"Yeah, Pleeeeeeeease Lakeripple?" She flashed a wide innocent grin at the deputy. Being deaf, Wolfpaw could read simple body language that others couldn't. She could tell that Toxicpaw just wanted to get out of the tense situation, and Wolfpaw was more than willing to help her friend.
