Scarkit stared blankly ahead his ears perked as he layed his head down on his paws. He always got up early, he was'nt one to sleep in. He gazed around the clearing a cool breeze ruffled his pelt, a shiver threatend to overwhelm him, but he suppresed it. Raising to his paws he paced infront of the nursery entrance, his tail straight out behind him, his gaze on the ground.
'What to do today?' Maybe Starpaw and Ravenpaw would play with him today....if he enjoyed playing foolish games, but he did'nt. 'Well maybe they'll talk to me?'
He sighed, halting in his pacing so he could sit back on his haunches. He flicked his ears in annoyance, 'things will be better once I become a apprentice. Then I can leave camp and explore...' the thought made his tail twitch in excitment. But that was the only emotion he dared let show.

OOC: since u were the only kit, i thought u'd be lonely so I just made a character! =P

IC: Lightkit bounced out of the elder's den, tail up and her steps light. Her eyes shone, reflecting all the joy she had in her 5 moons of life. The elders just sent her off the play after telling her a story. She went there constantly, since there weren't many other kits around for her to play with. Even though she was only a moon away from being apprenticed, she still acted as carefree as a 3moon-old kit. She had a few friends as apprentices and warriors, but they were usually busy tending to the clan.

Then she saw Scarkit. well, there was one cat she hadn't made friends with yet... since he was usually on his own and never actually talked to her. The bright golden she-kit looked around to see if there were any cats around. There weren't... and besides, Scarkit DID look bored and lonely...

"Hello!" Lightkit meowed a greeting to him, her head thingyed to one side. Even though she was usually just happy and straightforward, meeting new cats always made her show a little bit of her timid side. She always felt better after getting to know someone though, so she hoped that after today she and Scarkit would be good friends.

IC: Scar lifted his head to stare at Lightkit, his clashing with hers, he stared at the her blankly for a few mintes before he managed a small smile, "hello Lightkit, how are you?" he meowed. He sat up straighter, wraping his tail neatly around his paws.
He swept his gaze over her, studying her. She was the same age as him, but tottaly opposite. Well from his point of view any way. He tilted his head a he watched her thinking of what to say, anything to break the silence, that seemed to settle over them. "Soooo....was there somthing you wanted?" he asked giving her a questioning gaze.

OOC: no problem. =3 I haven't RPed as a kit in FOREVER! =O LOL

IC: Lightkit blinked a couple times, feeling a little awkward as Scarkit studied her for a moment. It surprised her that he asked her if he wanted something. usually other cats asked her if she was having fun or if she wanted to play. she quickly shook off the wonder that Scarkit gave her.
"um, do u want to play with me?" she asked, a little excited as she thought about what games they could play... we could play mossball, or catching prey, or tree climbing, or racing, or battle, or... a whole list of her favourite games ran through her head.

OOC: oh i wonder how Scarkit would reply to this. =P

Scarkit could only stare at Lightkit as she asked him to play, he did'nt know how to respond. He would have rose ot his paws and walked away but he did'nt wast to hurt her feelings so instead he decided to answer her. "No I do'nt want to play a game, thats so unmature...." he meowed as he stared coldly at her. but as he gave it more thought, maybe he could play with her if only to be nice. But when did he ever do something he did'nt like doing for someone else? Never, thats when. But...there was something about Lightkit that made playing foolish games not seem so bad. He sighed, "well...I guess I could play a game with you....but what...uh... what typesof games to you play?" he asked. He had never played any of the games kits played before, he had seem then playing games before but he did'nt know what they were called. It made his fur prickle in embarresment that he did'nt know what the games were called.

Lightkit was a little hurt when Scarkit stared coldly at her and said that her fun and games were immature... She was just going to mumble something else when the tomkit changed his mind. reluctantly, but still, he agreed to play a game with her. it was like she suddenly forgot that he didn't want to at first, excitement running through her spine. "ok! let's play tag!" the bright spirited and coloured kit quickly dashed her paw in front to poke Scarkit, then instantly jumped back at a safe distance. "you're it!" she laughed and bent low, ready for him to chase her. When he didn't seem to make a move, she thingyed her head. "you know how to play, right?" she asked, her fluffy tail flopping on the ground.

Scarkit jumped when Lightkit reached forward and poked him with her paw before jumping away, he rose to his paws, staring at the ground so she would'nt see his embarrasment. Getting a control over his embaresment he raised his head to stare at her, "no... I don't know how to play... tag. How so you play?" he asked slowly looking around uneasily. His tail twitched in slight annoyance that he did'nt know any thing about the games kits usually played. He suppressed a sigh, flicking his ears in discomfort.

Lightkit grinned in response; she liked explaining, and Scarkit was the only one who didn't know how to play one of her games. "Well, one of us is 'it', and if you're 'it', you chase the other cat and try to tag them. If you tag them, the one you tag is 'it', and then YOU get chased! Doesn't that sound fun?" she laughed, forgetting to keep her guard up.

Scarkit listened carefully to Lightkit as she explained the odd game, he smiled to himself, looking up at her with a smirking gaze. He jumped at her, quickly poking her with his paw before jumping back. Some odd emotion rushed threw him, it was raw and exciting. And he liked it. "Your it!" he meowed before turning tail and pelting across the clearing. His laughter following him.

Ravenpaw let out a mrrow of of laughter as she saw Scarkit playing with Lightkit. She padded over to them and watched them play for a moment as she waited for Tangleswirl to come.
"Playing tag I see?" She mewed.

"Hey!" Lightkit pretended to frown, but her laughter showed otherwise. "no fair!" she joked and ran after Scarkit, who was way faster than her. She chased him for a while, her fluffy golden tail trailing behind her, then stopped when Ravenpaw greeted them. "yeah" she smiled, panting as she eyed Scarkit, an idea popping into her head. "Scarkit's new at it, but he's so fast!" she exclaimed to the older apprentice, flopping down onto the ground, acting like she gave up. i'll pounce on him when he comes over later with his guard down she thought to herself, keeping her eyes on Ravenpaw but glancing ever so slightly at Scarkit to see if he was falling into her trap.

Scarkit laughed the whole time he raced around the camp with Lightkit behind him, and he keep going even when she stopped. It was only when he realized that Ravenpaw was watching did he stop. He stared at she-cats with a contained expression, but inside he was raving. He had just been seen playing a kits game by an older cat! Now what? did he continue playing, or go back to being the mature him. Long minutes seemed to go by as he battled with his inner self. But finally he stalked over to the two she-cats, his head held high and his tail as well, "hello Ravenpaw" he greeted the older cat as he approached. He sat down next to Lightkit, the game they had been playing temporally gone from his mind. "So, are you and Tangleswirl going out today?"

"Yes we are," Tangleswirl meowed coming up behind Ravenpaw. "We are headed for a tour of the territory right now." Tangleswirl walked toward the entrance of the camp. She stopped and turned around to see if Ravenpaw was coming.

Scarkit watched Tangleswirl and Ravenpaw pad away before turning his gaze back to Lightkit, he opened his mouth to ask her something but immediately shut it again. He leaped to his paws, backing away from her, gazing at her suspiciously. He had forgotten about the game, but had she. He backed away from her slowly a smirk forming on his muzzle, "you think I would forget about the game that easily? I think not" he meowed.

"I think so!" Lightkit meowed suddenly as the other two cats left, and instantly jumped up, racing towards Scarkit with quick energy. she was finally close enough to at least reach him, but then she tripped over a bundle of moss taken out by some apprentices a while ago, which was just left there. she totally didn't watch her feet, for her eyes were pinpointed on Scarkit. she let out a surprised squeal and fell over, landing half on the grey (am i right? xP) tomkit, tumbling over him with an "oof".

Scarkit let out a shocked meow when Lightkit tumbled over on him, he lay still for a moment then anger surged threw him. Pulling himself out from under her, he glared down at her, "watch were your stepping! You could have gotten use both hurt" Scarkit hissed. He didn't understand why he was so suddenly angry but he was and he couldn't seem to help it. Taking a step away from her, he forced his fur to lay flat. "Stop acting like a kit all the time, well be apprentices soon" he snapped, and as the harsh words leaped from his mouth he felt guilt wash over him. He turned away from her about to storm away but he couldn't, for some reason he couldn't just leave her. Turning back to her he leaned over her, pressing his nose into her fur, "sorry.." he mumbled.

OOC: wow so unexpected! =P COOL!

IC: When Scarkit first yelled at her, all Lightkit could do was inch herself away a little, still on the ground, with hot tears entering her eyes. All the excitement had gone now, and all she thought to herself was to breathe... keeping breathing... She couldn't even utter a word. She was the fun type to be around, but she was also easily hurt. Her feelings weren't something that she could control, except to breathe and try to look away from those who hurts her. She didn't even feel the physical pain of her right paw because she was trying so hard to keep the pain in her chest from taking over her, and keeping her tears in. She hated crying in public; she always did that in hiding.
Then Scarkit surprised her.
She couldn't understand that he actually said "sorry", and when he leaned to press his nose into her fur, she almost stopped breathing. It didn't help that she felt her heart beat almost double its original speed. Her eyes were wide before she remembered to breathe, and blinked, still shocked. She could barely feel her throat, and didn't even know what to say, except "um..."

Scarkit pulled away from her looking away with his fur tingling with embarrassment, he wasn't one to apologize for his actions, but he couldn't help it. He didn't want to stomp away from her and leave her crying, he would have regretted it later anyway. Gazing away with some uncertainty he meow, "are you alright, that fall umm...did you hurt your self any were?"

Lightkit's heartbeat slowed to its normal pace almost as quickly as it sped up, as Scarkit pulled away from her. only then did she feel the tightness in her chest loosen up, and the pain rose from her right front paw. it hurt like nothing else she'd experienced physically before. no questions asked, she was the type of cat who felt more pain emotionally, but this was the first time she got hurt physically. she let out a small whine and looked down at her paw, moving from lying on her side to lying on her belly, her pelt trailed with dirt. "My paw hurts..." she mumbled, looking annoyed at herself as she brought up her right paw to show Scarkit. there was absolutely no evidence that it was hurt, but she felt the pain throb; she didn't dare move it any further.

she didn't cry anymore; her tears were almost dry, too. she didn't consider physical pain as important on her as how her heart felt, though to most others this might've made them run yowling to the medicine cat's den. she simply looked up at Scarkit with expectant eyes, hoping he'd know what to do. it didn't seem logical on the first day they've met, but she trusted that he could make it all better.

Scarkit watched her closely smiling even though she was hurt, it was because she was being so cute he decided, but he quickly shock that thought away. Her cute! Well she was, but he shouldn't be thinking it! Should he? Sighing he pulled his attention to her hurt paw, he could tell from her expression that it hurt and so with another sigh he layed his tail over her ear. "That looks bad, come one lets go find the medicine cat" he meowed.
