Emberfrost stopped when they got to the small creek a little way outside the clan. The sun shone brightly and warmly on the two, and small breezes ruffled the leaves. The water made a comforting sound, and it reflected the brightness of the sun. It was beautiful.

Starlight gazed at the sparkling freshness of the water, the only sound on this golden morning. She looked at Emberfrost, then blushed. She couldn't believe her boldness when she talked to him.

"Starlight?" Emberfrost started, breaking the comforting silence, turning to look at her.
"I...just wanted to tell you that... " he stammered and looked down, his heart quickening. Then, he looked at her straight in the eyes. "I love you."

Starlight caught her breath, eyes glinting with happiness, "I...I..." she started not sure how to say this, " I...love you too..." She shuttered. She smiled up into Emberfrost's eyes, then licked him on the shoulder playfully.

Emberfrost grinned; for once in his life he felt accepted.
He licked Starlight on the head and pressed close to her, taking in her sweet scent.
