Smokepaw stood in front of the wide area of water. the lake of the water was huge, and beautiful in the way it shines as the waves splashed onto the lands, making it wet yet cool.
however, in the apprentice's eyes, there was no beauty. there was only fear. the fear that the cold icy water would swallow him up and never let him see another day...
he knew he was supposed to go training today, but... he was afraid to. what if it was another swimming lesson? he wasn't ready for it...

Honeydew then saw smokepaw right next to the lake.Surely smokepaw couldn't be that afraid of water he just had a bad attitude that's all. So she decided to teach him how to hunt and later teach how to swim without freaking out.

Smokepaw's ears flickered when he heard a sound behind him. Turning around swiftly, he saw Honeydew. He let his fur lay back down and turned back to watching the lake with his claws digging into the wet grounds, without acknowledging his mentor.

IC: Smokepaw sighed with relief that he was going to stay away from the water today. nodding, he followed Honeydew. "so, where to?" he asked, scanning his surroundings with his dark blue eyes.

"well were going to be heading to the forrest were prey is now when we get there I going to teach you how to crouch correctly.There is different crouches for different prey one day you will master all of them." Honeydew was relieved to see smokepaw clam again.But he has to face his fears if he wants to become a warrior.

Smokepaw nodded confindently. as long as he's away from the water he's sure that he'll do his best and be good at it. although he's still terribly ashamed, he wasn't in any hurry to try swimming again.

"what you do is go into a crouch just do one and I'll correct you if you do it wrong that's okay if you do it took me a while."Honeydew was confident and was ready to teach.She still wasn't sue what happened yesterday but today is a new day.

Smokepaw nodded confidently and crouched down, the way she once saw other apprentices did. his crouch was almost perfect, because he felt so brave on land. he dug his long claws into the soft earth as he waited for his mentor to teach him more.

Smokepaw lowered his body until he was so close to the ground his fur was touching the ground. as Honeydew said, he was able to smell EVERYTHING! ...mouse, vole, chafinch even...
without knowing it, he pounced at the prey he felt was closest, the mouse. it didn't even see him coming as he took its life. he was even surprised that he caught it... it was totally by instint.

Smokepaw himself was even happy, for once! with a wide grin he set the mouse down. "so what are u teaching me next?" he totally forgot about his fear of the water.
OOC: hah sry that i might be making him sound to good at being a warrior, but he's in the prophecy so he has to be special is some way! XP lol

Smokepaw gave Honeydew a glare for calling him a stupid furball, but he did as she said. watching the bird with his sharp eyes, he made sure he pinpointed it well. before the bird suspected anything, the tom pounced as high as he could and clawed it down, landing with a light thump with the chaffinch in his claws.

IC: Smokepaw gasped and dropped his catch with surprise all over his face. he stood there for a moment, stunned and not knowing what to do; honeydew hasn't taught him fighting yet. i have to help though he forced himself to move and jumped onto the fox, trying to get it off of his mentor. he bit hard into its ear until it yowled and the ear bled freely.

Honeydew was amazed at what this apprentice could do!Honeydew knew that this fox was young and didn't know much so bit into his tail and then he fled off in to the woods.
