Stream followed the group of cats slowly, Why were they being so kind? They weren't anything like other cats she had encountered on her travels, they just attacked her straight away, these cats were different. Stream sighed, trying to figure it out, weren't rogues, like these, supposed to be vicious?

Stream stiffened beside the ginger she cat with a gaurded look in her eyes, then realised it wasn't worth it. These cats were being kind to her, the least she could was tell them where she came from. with a sigh she loosened up and mewed"I was born a kittypet..." she growled, her fur bristled as she spat out each word, holding back none of her hatred for her wretched Twolegs who dumped her under a bridge. Feeling anger boil up inside her she hissed the rest through gritted teeth"...And left to die in a small box beneath a bridge! My whole life I wandered alone, then one tom came. Then left. leaving me with a kit, that kit was the only thing keeping me happy, then she died, then some rogue stole her body!" tears were now streaming down her face as she yowled in anguish, all her memories flooding back. When she had the kit, she knew she was too young to raise it, she tried her hardest but it was all in vain. After her outburst she sunk to the cold ground sobbing, why was life so cruel to her?

Skywalker listened to every word that the silver she-cat said. She reminded him so much of himself. His travels too, were harsh. Though, he was not dumped under a bridge by "twolegs", as they call it here, and was left to die. No. He was dumped off in a crashing flood with his mother, wile his sister was carried away to a clan. Skywalker placed a jet black tail over the Stream's shoulders, and leaned in close to her ear. The owl had already been placed down before this, so he wouldn't have to talk threw feathers. "Something in life will always make it better......" Skywalker mewed friendly to the she-cat, despite the fact that his accent totally butchered the word "always".

Strea slowly lifted her head and looked at the foreign black tom and took a few shuddering breaths and blinked gratefully at him. "You really think so?" she mewed, showing how weak she was inside. Although the toms voice was strange she found comfort in his words and straightened up a little. Slowly she stood up and shook the snow off her fur.

"Why not? The cats who live here believe in Starclan, and if you do to, I'm sure they will turn things around for you. I know not of any other cats like Starclan in this area, so I can not say who else can make your life better in a way they can." Skywalker paused. He hadn't fully excepted Starclan himself, yet here he was, talking about them like he knew them from kit-hood. The jet black tom pulled his tail back to himself, and took up the owl once more, ready to continue heading out.

Sunset stared at Skywalker. "You really listened to Moonrise, didn't you?"

Skywalker chuckled slightly at what Sunset had said. "Well, I guess I did! After seeing your mother in the stars, I easily see why all of the cats here believe in them. Though...I truly do not know what my tribe believed in...If only I could have asked my mother..." the jet black tom trailed off as he pictured his mother leaning over the stone in the rain once more. That river of dark water rolling slowly threw the cracks of the smooth rock floor. Skywalker was now old enough to know what the dark water was, yet he never fully wanted to remember what it was. He knew, but didn't want to. Skywalker also knew, that she would still be here if that stone had not been jagged and uneven when the water had dropped her onto it. In fact, that would have been Skywalker on that stone, if she had not saved him from that fate, and gotten between it and her son. A small tear rolled threw his jet black fur as the image slowly faded away, happy that it had brought back this painful memory to Skywalker.

Stream watched the tear roll down the black toms face, glistening in the moonlight. This tom had come from far away, she could tell from his accent, he too must have had hard travels and a troubled past, she wiped it away with her head. She sighed, trying to block her past from her mind. Perhaps these cats could become her freinds? She had never met any cats like them, no other cat she met showed such kindness. Offering her a place to stay when others would chase her away. She ran her paw over the side of her head, drying the wet mark from the tear slightly.

Skywalker tried to ignore the fact that Stream had just rubbed the tear off of his cheek-fur, and turned back to the owl that had been his kill only a bit ago before he and Misty had spotted Sunset and Stream talking. Still trying to get his mind off it, Skywalker turned back to Stream, and flicked his ear to the owl. "Ever had owl meat?" the jet black tom questioned. It was the first thing that had popped into his head.

Stream shook her head and looked a the large bird in the snow, a trail from where it had been dragged down the hill behind it. It must have been hard catching it, she padded over to it and sniffed the body cautiously, half afraid it would jump back to life and attack her. Slowly she took a small bite of the chest meat and flinched a little. She looked up to Skywalker, Sunset and Misty.
Misty watched as Stream tried the owl as she had done just a while earlier. "It tastes funny at first but its actually quite nice" she purred then sat down beside Sunset in the snow.

A strange scent hit Bird's nose. Other cats? They smelled strange. Hadn't Sun warned her about strange cats? No, she didn't. Sun, Moon, and Bird lived on a seperate piece of land beyond the outskirts. When Sun died, Moon went into a funk, and Bird ran away. She ended up in these bloody hills. Would these strange cats help her?

Sunset stiffened. She crept over to a side hill and stared out at another cat. "Think of Stream," she murmured. "She's not so bad, why should this cat be?"

Bird froze as a light ginger she-cat stared at her. Bird braced herself for attack.

Skywalker grinned happily at Stream's responce to the owl meat. He always loved seeing what their faces would twist into at its first zing of flavor.
As Sunset walked on, the jet black tom noticed another cat in the distance. Sunset was already down there, and talking. Sunset doesn't seem like she could hold territory with all the cats that are allowed to hang out here. Yet, she has all of high hills! Maybe I should get my own territory, so that way everything is less crowded for her...

"Come," she intoned. "You need rest." Then she bounded over to Skywatcher and gazed at him gently. "You're a good friend Skywatcher," she murmured. "Not everyone would let me do everything myself like you do. I like that."
