Misty stared at the image of the cat in the stars and stepped back. "Wow". She glanced at Sunset "Um, do you want me to leave you and your family alone with this?" she wispered in her ear.

"No, you're fine," Sunset whispered as she stared up at the star. "Mommy," she whispered. "Mommy!" In her mind that day was playing images in her head. "She told me that she had claimed the territory for me, and that everything would be better. The evil, faceless cat was lying on the ground with his throught torn out. She nuzzled me, and told me to look to the stars, and someday I'd find her. Then she nudged me forward." Sunset took a deep breath "You can do it, all you have to do is make it to the new territory," She told me. I said, "Alright," and nuzzled her. She settled me and said, "you're safe now Sunset." Now Sunset's face took on a look of horror. "Then she died. I desperately mewed, Mommy?. Mommy! And tears cascaded down my face. Then I vowed to myself to find the culprit who had mated with my mother. When I found Treestar, I didn't know what to think. He was, well, sorry. I never thought I'd see her again, I never truly believed in StarClan. But I do know, I do know." Then Sunset put her head on her paws, and stared at the sky.
Forestfur stared at his sister. "I never knew that you had so much pain," he meowed. "But Moonrise still loves you, she has proven that."

Misty blinked back tears. She had heard bits of her freinds story but never the whole thing and she knew what losing a mother was like. Except her own could still be alive somewhere, living the kittypet life. She sighed and sat down beside Sunset, keeping her yellow eyes on the starry figure above them. "Starclan" she mused. This world seemed to bring up more mysteries to her with every heartbeat. Misty glanced at her freind then sat in stunned silence, staring in disbelief at the sky.

Misty just nodded. She began thinking of all she had learnt about Sunset and her diverse family and about the strange worlds of clan cats, all in such a short space of time. She knew that this was a special moment for the cats around her and sat in silence.

Treestar only chuckled at what Sunset had to say about the 'leader' thing. But then suddenly, the Earthclan leader whipped his head up to the sky. There, was the image of Moonrise. Treestar gasped, and fell silent when she disapeared. "I. . .I must go. . . ." After those words, Treestar quickly raced away. His silent paw steps taking him to one of the most comman places to go, when you needed to talk to Starclan.
Thawpelt watched his true mother disappear before him. Then, his dark blue eyes looked on, as Treestar raced away, mummbleing something. Turning to Misty again, Thawpelt sat down before her. His face had no tears, for, he has cried enough, and now just was not the time. "Starclan.....they are our ansesters. Our past kin, grandkin, and maybe even siblings or parents. All those who have passed on, live on in the stars. That is Starclan. A collection of all cats in the forest. They have no worry about prey or territories. All cats from all the clans get to rest together, and watch over us." Thawpelt then turned to the sky once more, "I guess Moonrise made it in."

Misty blinked at Thawpelt, "Thank you Thawpelt, I think I understand" she mewed solemly. This cat was hard to figure out "but he has had a toubled past..." she reminded herself in her head. "...but i guess every cat has their own way of coping". She let the matter drop and stood up. "Sunset, i am tired and i have a bit of thinking to do. I'm going back to sleep if it's okay" she murmered.

Forestfur just stared at where is father had vanished. "Maybe he doesn't hate me..."

Misty nodded and left, leaving Sunset with her brothers. She found a comfy spot and nestled down, as sleep tugged at her like a gentle river, she drifted into twilight...

Forestfur dipped his head. "About Treestar and Moonrise. She was of WaterClan..."
"What about that? Is there a rule that you can't mate with the cat you love?"

"You can, but Treestar was of Earthclan, and Moonrise of Waterclan. That makes it forbidden." Thawpelt pointed out, before falling silent so Forestfur could continue.

Sunset glared at the ground. "So that is why Moonrise left," she whispered. She had done something, forbidden."
Forestfur ducked his head. "Well, we had this fight, and then he made Flameclaws deputy, when I happen to know that he is up to something. I thought that he didn't make me deputy becuase he was holding a grudge."

Thawpelt snorted once more, and set his dark blue eyes on his brother. "If you duck your head any lower, your nose will be in the dirt." his tone was playful, yet turned serious quickly, "So....you are angry at Treestar about the fact that you aren't deputy, and the fact that he has a grudge on you, which you now see he doesn't?" Thawpelt rose a eyebrow to this.

"Then I think I'm not following you...." Thawpelt meowed bluntly. His eyes looking emotionlessly to his brother. In fact, he did understand. He just wanted Forestfur to figure out his life by himself.
