the calico nodded, pacing absently around the apprentice.
"Ok, then. I'll try to..." she never finished her sentence. instead she lunged at the apprentice aiming to bowl him over and pin him. surprise was one of the hardest things to defend against, and she wouldn't be surprised in the least if she won this without any trouble.

Talonpaw hastily jumped into the air, clear of Autumnsong, but he fell hard and lost his footing. He had landed on a patch of mud. Talonpaw slipped in the mud, and he moaned, "Take my blood, take my soul, but PLEASE don't take my bolt!"

Autumnsong tackled the apprentice, holding him in the mud. she looked down to see her white paws brown with mud. with a smile, she poked Talonpaw's nose with her muddy paw, leaving it brown.
"Fast reaction. I'm impressed." she said with a laugh, releasing the apprentice. "you ready to go again?"

"Alright, we're done. You did pretty well." she said, padding back to camp. "Your 'bolt' isn'n that muddy, relax."
