(ooc: here he coooooomes!!!!! as promised!!!!)
Kitcatcher laid on his back, looking up at the blue sky above. the sunlight revealed his pelt to have almost an inch of accumulated filth, from mud to leaves and even a few sticks poked out in places, grabbing at the grass around him. "High hills, hi hills, hello big tall hills!" he sang silently, tilting his head back to look at the upside-down scenery. "no more fences, no more nests, no more Twolegs dirty pests!" He resumed looking at the sky, fixing his sights on a passing cloud. he pointed at it with one forepaw. "Look! A mouse! fluffy sky-chaser shaped like a mouse! Star-chasers are in a good mood today, making the sky-chasers look like mice," he told no-one in particular.
(ooc: he calls Star-clan the Star-chasers or Star-catchers. don't ask how he knows about Star-clan, i don't really know... ^.^". and yes, he is completely and un-deniably insane)

Sunset slunk through the grasses of her home, orange pelt shining like a brand of fire in the sunlight. She narrowed her eyes at the sky and lashed her tail. Three moons... three moons had passed. Oh, what would become of her son? Shaking her head, Sunset turned toward an unfamiliar scent. Star-chasers? Sky-chasers? She stared at the filthy tom for a second before padding silently toward him.
"What are you doing here?" she hissed when she was right behind him. "And who are you?" Sunset's blue eyes flashed in anger. "Did Foxcloud send you? Well, did she?" Sunset narrowed her eyes. Why did cats call her paranoid? She was completely under control.

Bird licked her chest angrily. Clearly, nothing was going right for the she-cat. Her family was gone, and she war pretty much stuck here. She'd promised Sunset that she'd stay until they got Mint back, but who knew how long that would be. Bird was pretty much pouting when she heard the name of the one cat she despised so. Foxcloud. Her head whipped up, her amber eyes blazed with fury. Bird leapt to her feet.
Bird raced in the direction of the name. Her gaunt frame meant absolutely nothing. Bird was stronger and faster then most cats in the whole forest. She's made sure of that. She peered through the brush, to see Sunset. The ginger she-cat was snarling at a cat. If Foxcloud did send him, I swear I will tear his pelt off, bit by bit, and I won't kill him first, Bird thought. But the scent in the air wasn't that of Fireclan, nor any other clan. It was rogue, most defiantly rogue. Still he posses a threat. Bird ran to join Sunset.

Kitcatcher blinked at the two upside-down cats that stood before him. Slowly, he rolled to his belly, not standing up. Kitcatcher might have been crazy, but he knew not to do anything that might cause the two bristling strangers to attack. "Fox...cloud?" he tilted his head to one side. "Me don't know Fox of clouds. You mean Byakko fox friend? Me know fox friend, but fox friend no send me here, I chased the sun!" He explained, his matted stump of a tail stirring up the leaves behind him.

OOC: you put in [ color = (whatever color you want) ] [ / color ] without the spaces
Sunset lowered her hackles and breathed in a sigh of relief. This cat knew Byakko. That was good, Byakko would never let an evil cat go towards the Hills. She briefly rubbed against Bird and tried to look calm, but her tail still twitched. "What of my other questions? Who are you and what do you want? This land is claimed." As she stared at the tom she couldn't help thinking... this cat is crazy.

(thanks! lets try it...) Kitcatcher nodded. "My name Kitcatcher. I come from place where Twolegs build the big nests. I came here for vacation! Big tall hills where sun goes, I thought I come too! but only temporary. Kits need saving, fences need talking to, twolegs need cat to chase..." his voice died out as he was suddenly entranced by a falling leaf that blew in front of his nose. he watched it for a few moments, then looked over at the two wild cats before him, as if just seeing them. "And you? Wildcats have names, correct?"

Bird barred her teeth. This rogue, well sort of like a loner as well, was annoying and rather dull. Bird didn't really want to speak with him any longer. She just wanted to rip his pelt off and send him on his way, if he were conscious enough to do so. Bird was basically fuming. How dare this nut job just intrude on her territory ike this, claiming to be on vacation! The nerve!
Bird flexed her claws, digging them into the soft grass of the hills. She didn't like intruders, not in the least, but Bird was trying to control her temper for Sunset. Other then that, she had no qualms with attacking the crazy rogue and skinning his pelt off. Bird could use for some warmer nest lining. But Sunset would never allow it... she thought with mild sadness.
"And you? Wildcats have names, correct?"
Bird heard the intruder, but she chose to ignore him. The only acknowledgement she gave him was a glare. Her burning amber eyes were like an actual fire, scorching and painful yet elegant at the same time. Bird twitched her tortoiseshell tail in aggravation, she wasn't trying to hide hers like Sunset. When it came to agitation, Bird was very expressive.

(ooc: i just realized Kitcatcher sounded like a jerk ^^;, when i was writing in his odd speech pattern i was thinking it differently, idk... just thought i should say that ^^;"
Kitcatcher saw the silent cat's twitch, and realized what he said could have sounded insulting. "Me only curious, no insult intended. Me respect wildcats, very honorable to live out here." he motioned with his stump of a tail to the surroundings. "If there weren't kits to save, me would live here too."

Sunset took a deep breath and resisted the urge to lash her tail at the tom's words. Instead she pressed slightly closer to Bird, as if the angry she-cat would give her strength to hold back, and fixed the tom with her steely blue stare.
"Yes we have names you mousebrain," was her response, and as she said it she sounded weary. "Every cat but the tiniest kit has a name. I am Sunset." She shot a glance at Bird, already knowing that her friend had no intention in giving her name. "So, Kitcatcher, you followed the sun here? Well, the sun led you wrong because where it sets in the hills is mine, the hills themselves are mine, and unless you are part of the High Hills Band, you are not very welcome. Intruders bring trouble and trouble brings..." here Sunset began to look amused. With a twitch of her head in Bird's direction, she finished by saying, "her claws." Then she stared at Kitcatcher again.

Kitcatcher looked down at the silent cat's claws and gulped, taking a un-intentional step back. And the tiny potrion of his brain that hadn't been corrupted by madness sent warning bells ringing all over his body, all saying 'get out! get out!'
"Me mean no trouble, promise! Me only stopping by to look. Hills yours. Place where sun falls yours. Me should go back now. Fences will be missing me." he nodded in respect and slight fear at Sunset and her silent, deadly companion, before hesitantly turning tail to head back the way he had come.

Sighing, Sunset looked at Bird for a long moment. "Now I feel all guilty. How do you live with yourself?" There was affection in her words, but Sunset was dead serious. She wasn't sure how anyone could just fight without cause or turn away someone who was probably hungry.
"Wait Kitcatcher. You're probably wanting to taste some real food for once, not those chemical ridden mice of the Twolegplace. If you wish to hunt, keep to the outskirts of the hills and away from the Clans. If they catch you hunting on their territory, they will not be so lenient." She breathed in deeply, hoping that her decision would not bring a flea infestation on her land. "And there is a stream down near the deep gully, by the baby hill you can see in the moonlight. Do us all a favor and give yourself a bath so any passing cats don't have to smell you." With that she flicked her tail and bounded up to the top of the highest hill, ready to watch and see that the tom followed her instructions and did nothing else.

Kitcatcher looked back at Sunset, an unspoken respect in his deep brown eyes. "Me remember Wildcats kindness. Me do ask you say, and Me in debt. If ever Sunset and silent cat need help, Kitcatcher is easily found. May the Star-chasers watch you and friends." Kitcatcher nodded kindly before bounding off in search of the stream Sunset had described.

Bird's silence was wearing off. It was clear Sunset was allowing this loner to hunt on their territory. Her leader was far too nice. "It's easy, you just have to live for about a year alone with no one around to comfort you," Bird whispered to Sunset. I suppose that I might as well as tell the moron my name... Bird grumbled in her thoughts. She shot burning daggers with her eyes at the strange cat.
"The name is Bird, and the moment you forget that, it'll be your last," Bird said in a quiet, calm hiss. She twitched her tail with agitation. Bird followed Sunset slowly, her unsheathed claws pulling at the earth as she went. She stood next to the ginger she-cat, her own slight ginger "detailing" standing out more the usual. It always happened when she stood next to Sunset. Same thing when she stood next to Skywalker, only her black stood out. Bird was like a chameleon, only she was a cat. If there was one thing that Bird knew from experience, aggression was definitely a learned trait. Very few cats were born aggressive and confrontative. She herself wasn't, Bird was a sweet, kind, good-natured kittypet, and now she was a harsh, sceptical, aggressive rogue.
Word Count;; 253 Muse;; I'm content with these posts, just as long as I don't drop to the 100s I'm okay!

Bird... Kitcatcher thought, comtinuing his steady bound through the woods, following the sound of running water. Me not forget that. Me never forget a name. He slowed as he reached the pebbly shore of the stream. He walked downstream a bit before stepping into the flow of cold water. It felt so different, so... new to have the accumulated filth be carried away by the current. Kitcatcher took annother few steps in, laying down so the water ran over his muscular back. leaves and twigs, no longer held by the dried mud that plastered them to his fur, were dislodged, floating downstream. Finally, he stood. the dirt had gone to reveal dark tabby fur. kitcatcher looked at his distorted reflection, feeling somehow bare, more exposed.
