Froststar put her tail across her toes. It was so cold in the mornings! The leader huddled herself together while keeping a high head, somehow. She was waiting for her apprentice to wake up so she could take him out. It had seemed like ages since she had done so. Perhaps tree-hunting today. Thats always fun. As long as I don't trip again. My honor will never recover from that...

Crowpaw padded into Froststar's den, his head held high and his eyes shining adventurously. "Good morning Froststar!" He meowed, excitement coloring his tone. He didn't seem to even feel the chill of the morning air, but then again, his coat was a bit thicker, and young ones never paid attention to the weather. "What are we going to do today Froststar??" He asked, mrrowing happily..

"We can go hunting, in the trees of course." Froststar's voice was amused. Crowpaw could lighten the darkest of days from the leader. Youth seemed to do that to old bones. It was funny how Froststar considered herself old when she was still fairly young. She stood up, shaking out her toes.

Crowpaw let out an energetic whoop and grinned at his mentor as she got to her paws. "Awright!" His ears pricked forward in excitement as he waited for Froststar to lead the way, though he was a bit impatient to get moving. He hadn't gotten to spend time with his mentor in what seemed like ages, he mused to himself, glad that they could finally get to training again. He puffed out his chest unconciously- he wanted more than anything to become a great warrior, and make Froststar and his parents proud of him. His amber eyes gleamed at the thought of himself as a warrior- a fierce, untameable spirit whose prowess gained him fame throughout the clans..
(XD Crowpaw's getting pretty lofty eh? sorry for taking so long...college really got me =P)

Watching him puff out his chest, Froststar's whiskers twitched. Thoughts rolled about her head, before taking a slim paw and cuffing his ear. "Be humble, young apprentice. You aren't leader yet. There are many suns to come before you have the right to prance about camp like that." She meowed sharply, but with a touch of amusement. Froststar padded out of camp, eyeing the trees for one with leaves, barely hanging on against the biting winds. The cottonwoods were too slick, but their leaves had changed to a beautiful gold and bronze.
