Sunstorm grinned at Silverpaw's exclaimation. "Yes, it is very peaceful, but I think the thunder is really peaceful too, in a noisy sort of way!" He mrrowed, teasingly. "But you are right, it is very peaceful. The soft pitterpatter of the rain, the cool air, the solemnness here..." He smiled softy, looking around at the craggy rock walls surrounding them. "So Silverpaw," He meowed after a moments silence. "How did you find this place? It's a great place.. especially for thought, or for just enjoying time with a close friend." he purred...

"Hmm, well, I found this cave one time when I snuck out of camp back when i was a kit. A butterfly flew into that bush at the entrance to the tunnel, and I was chasing it at the time, so I peered into the bushes, and there the tunnel was!" She explained, smiling at the memory. And of course it's a great place, why do you think I brought you here?" The silver apprentice mewed, purring with amusement.

OOC- Thanks!! I was just randomly doodling when I thought the cat I was drawing looked like Silverpaw, and the rest is history!

Sunstorm grinned at Silverpaw's last statement. "Thanks, Silverpaw." He meowed, giving her a warm smile. "Thanks for showing me this place. It's been awhile since I got to enjoy time with a friend. and yes...even after only a day, I find myself thinking of you as my friend already." He smiled to himself as he remembered the events of yesterday. "Do you come here often?" He asked, getting to his paws and looking around the marvellous place.....

Silverpaw grinned. "Oh yes, I come here all the time! When I'm not serving the elders. I can't wait to get a mentor, then maybe I'll spend more time battle training and less time collecting moss. Do you have an apprentice, Sunstorm?" She asked, curious about what it was like to train an apprentice. Would it be like this? Exploring, learning, and hunting?She hoped so. The silver tabby got up and stretched. "Should we get going then? Maybe do some hunting?" She asked, excitement building in her voice once again.

Sunstorm shook his head as Silverpaw asked him if he had an apprentice. "No," he meowed, echoing his motion. "I've never had an apprentice. I've always wondered why, but perhaps it's for the best." He meowed looking sad for a brief second before erasing it. "But I'm sure you'll love your mentor once you find out who they are. You'll have a lot of fun learning to become the great warrior you'll someday be. You'll make friendships that will hopefully last a lifetime, forged from the trials and adventures that bring many together." a half smile crossed Sunstorm's lips as he remembered his own kit/apprenticehood. Had it been so long ago? No...but it sure felt like it. "Wha?" He meowed as the last of Silverpaw's words echoed into his mind. "Oh yes, why not? If you're as good at hunting as you are fishing, you'll pick it up in no time! He purred...

"Okay then, let's go!" Silverpaw mewed, forgetting the rain for a second. She Flicked her tall, bushy tail and trotted happily up the tunnel and into the rain. Instantly her silver pelt got drenched with water. She sighed with relief, the rain felt so cool on her skin. She thought about what Sunstorm had said. Would having a mentor at last really be so fun? Why didn't he want an apprentice? Thoughts buzzed through her mind as she padded around the clearing dotted with bushes, waiting for her friend.

Sunstorm quickly emerged after the silver furred apprentice, his eyes closing in pleasure as the rain caressed his pelt. The rain ran down his face, and into his eyes, but he merely blinked the moisture away. It felt good.... and he could tell Silverpaw felt the same way. "Hmmm...though I love the rain," He murmured. "It usually makes hunting harder. Prey like to keep outof it, but let's see if we can find the bolder, fatter prey wandering around!" He meowed, the light of a challenge in his eyes. He took a pawstep forward, when all of a sudden the ground collapsed under him and he fell. He was too shocked to call out, and he could feel himself plummetting to whatever lay below...He fell hard, the breath pushed out of his lungs, and the pain that came next was unbelievable...darkness shimmered at the end of his vision, and it slowly over took him...



(lol! a twist! XD and no, he's not dead. XD just thought I'd make something random happen- the reason for that is the ground was so wet from the rain and unstable that it just collapsed once more weight was put on it)

Silverpaw turned to look at Sunstorm, and saw nothing. Curiously, she stepped towards where she had thought he had stood, and teetered at the edge of a deep hole. The silver tabby gasped. "Sunstorm!" She yowled. She could just make out his form at the bottom of the hole. She attempted to reach down to see if she could touch him, but nearly fell in herself. "Sunstorm! Can you hear me?" She screeched over the booms of thunder. Should she get help? Suddenly a bolt of lightning crashed into a tree. With out her realizing it, it began to fall right above her. Only when it was nearly to the ground did she notice it. The silver she-cat let out a mrrow of fear and pelted out of the way, but she was a little too late. Her tail, sticking straight out in fear, was crushed under the massive weight of the tree. A scream rang through the forest as a bolt of pain ran through Silverpaw's tail. She collapsed with a shudder, but attempted to get up again. Sunstorm needed her. She could barely move what with the pain and the tree on her tail, but she managed to peer into the hole again. What should she do? What could she do, for that matter?

Pain suddenly seared through Sunstorm's head, and he hissed loudly as he was plunged back into the waking world. His unconciousness had not lasted for long. His pain was split by the screeching, heart wrenching sound of Silverpaw's yowl of pain. What had happenned to her?? Sunstorm leapt to his paws, and nearly collapsed as he did so. His front leg couldn't support his weight..broken.. He noticed as he hurriedly probed the leg. Nothing for it. He had to get out! Something was wrong- he looked up, just in time to see Silverpaw's face. He was relieved that she seemed to be in one piece, but he could only see her head...."Silverpaw!" He yowled, trying to make himself heard over the noise of the tumultous storm, "Silverpaw don't get too close to the edge!" He didn't want her falling in- that was the last thing he wanted t o happen. Frantically, he limped around, trying to find some way of escaping the deep prison, but finding nothing....

Wolfstorm padded quietly through the storms, her silver pelt soaked through to the bone. She shivered, but it wasn't from the cold...Her beloved had gone missing..Fuzeshock....Water dripped down her face, and she could taste the salty tang of them...A large crash, one that sent strong vibrations up her paws made her jump. What was that?? Her sadness was pushed aside for a moment, and she whirled around, her amethyst eyes seeking the cause...A feeling of dread filled her heart, though why, she knew not. She darted away, following the vibrations back to where she'd felt them come from... If only she could have heard, she would have heard the sound of Silverpaw over the whistle of the wind and the battle of the thunder...

Between gasps of pain Silverpaw managed to call out, "D-don't worry! With this t-tree on me I won't be g-going anywhere for a while!" Despite her pain, she gave a sigh of relief. Sunstorm was alright! She suddenly caught another scent-of a cat! Not caring who they were, she yowled out at the top of her voice for help, praying that she would be heard. They needed help fast if they wanted to live. The silver tabby attempted to free herself from the tree's weight, but only got a sharp, peircing pain that shot through her whole body. She wailed, feeling utterly helpless.

Sunstorm's ears folded back and his eyes widened. Silverpaw was hurt? Great...just great...He wished Usai was here...She could help, he knew she could. He growled at himself for being so stupid. If anything happened to Silverpaw, he'd never forgive himself. Feeling deathly afraid for the young apprentice, Sunstorm increased the intenseness of his search. He had to get out- he had to help Silverpaw. Bracing himself, he gritted his teeth and tried to leap as hard as he could, almost yowling loud with pain when he landed on his bad leg. So that wouldn't work...he thought through the haze of pain...


Wolfstorm looked around, confused.. The vibrations had stopped...how could she find out what had happened if they'd stopped? Wolfstorm's nose twitched. Perhaps there was a scent associated with it...The Waterclan warrior padded forward, tentatively at first. She sniffed a nearby leaf that had been trampled into the ground...An apprentice and a warrior had been by here.....Her eyes widened. Could something have happened to them? It would explain that bad feeling she'd had...She had to investigate, had to find out! Wolfstorm broke out into a sprint, her fleet paws carrying her swiftly across the Lightningclan territory. She leapt nimbly over rocks and small branches, following the scent until-

A large tree lay on it's side, it's midsection burnt and blackened. The acrid smell of burning wood reached Wolfstorm's nostrils and she wrinkled her nose. Was that all that had happened? Well then, she thought, breathing a sigh of relief, everthing was fi- The breeze blew fresh lighningclan scent towards her, but that wasn't what shocked her- there was fear scent and.. pain scent..The cats were in trouble, whoever they were! She knew it wasn't Fuzeshock, so that was a relief- he wasn't hurt...but she had to help whoever it was. Darting over to the tip of the fallen tree, Wolfstorm spotted a small silvery apprentice, her tail stuck under the massive log. Wolfstorm gasped- the apprentice's face was contorted with pain, making the waterclan warrior's own heart twist and hurt. What could she do? The tree was far to heavy for her to move on her own...but..she couldn't just leave the apprentice there- Wolfstorm felt so helpless...

Silverpaw gasped as she caught sight of a Waterclan warrior. Why she was on Lightningclan territory was beside the point. She called out to the cat, seeing the worried expression on the intruder's face. "C-come here!" She panted as another blast of pain shot through her tail. If this cat could help Sunstorm out of his trap, then surely they both could get the tree off of her. "Sunstorm...he....fell...trapped..." Silverpaw mewed, struggling with the effort. The world began to blur around her. She went limp as darkness claimed her, the relentless rain still pounding down on her sodden pelt.

OOC- She isn't dead either, just passed out...

Wolfstorm gasped as the silver cat toppled over, passing out from what must be extreme pain. The she cat quickly surveyed the scene again. No...there was no way she could move this on her own, that was for sure. It was far too big and heavy for one cat alone...She squinted, trying to remember the shape Silverpaw's mouth had taken...Something about a...a..Sunstorm? Oh, another cat nearby! a warrior, judging by the name. Hopefully not an elder.... She looked around, wondering where this warrior could be, and nearly fell into the hole herself...She gasped. It was the tom that had discovered her and Fuzeshock! She stared for a moment, before remembering where she was. "Sunstorm!" She called, trying to get his attention. She spoke in a manner that belied the fact that she was deaf. "Sunstorm, hang on, I'll help get you out!" She disappeared before the golden tom had a chance to reply...

Sunstorm was shocked. That she cat....The one Fuzeshock had fallen in love with...What was she doing here? He thought Fuzeshock had gone to live with her in her clan? But who cared about that now? She was rescuing them, that's all that mattered. The faster she helped him out of this hole, the faster they could help Silverpaw...He paced anxiously as Wolfstorm searched for a vine still attached to a tree, while being long and sturdy enough to climb up. Mere minutes later, the sheet of rain was cut by a dropping vine, and Wolfstorm's call of "C'mon, hold onto the vine!"

Sinking her claws into the wet earth to help give her more traction, Wolfstorm began to pull once she felt Sunstorm take the other end of the vine. She grunted, hoping she'd be strong enough to pull him out- Silverpaw wouldn't get any help unless she could... That thought made her pull harder, her fur plastered against her body as the rain continued to pour. She blinked the moisture out of her eyes, and pulled, her muscles beginning to burn..

It was not soon enough that Sunstorm emerged at the top of the hole, grabbling at the dirt with a front paw and two back ones... One of his front legs was broken, that she could tell....The golden tom ignored this injury and paled at the sight of Silverpaw, her tail trapped underneath the tree. He glanced at Wolfstorm and together they moved,setting thier shoulders to the slippery bark of the tree. They pushed, straining and groaning, trying to make the tree move enough to get Silverpaw out..."Su..Sunstorm.." Wolfstorm panted, "I'll...i'll get the apprentice out from underneath once we've pushed it far enough, you have to hold it there while I do, or it'll fall b...back on her." She meowed through gritted teeth. Sunstorm nodded, for once in his life wishing he was more muscular than he really was...Most toms were broad shouldered and powerful, but he'd always been lean and fast. He'd always loved his speed, but he would have traded that for strength if it meant being able to help Silverpaw. It was his fault she'd gotten hurt....He clenched his jaw, just as Wolfstorm gave him a look- There was enough room. She waited until he nodded in reply, and then darted away from the tree, grasping Silverpaw's scruff in her jaws and yanking hard, trying to get her as far away from the tree as possible.

Sunstorm hissed quietly to himeslf- the tree's weight threatened to overwhelm him, and he was only using three legs- his fourth was of no use.. He grunted, sweat intermingling with the rain as they ran down his face. How...how long would this last?

"Sunstorm! Let go!" Wolfstorm's call came.

With a grunt, Sunstorm darted away from the tree, glad to be relieved of it's heavy weight... he wouldnt' have lasted much longer....

Silverpaw's eyes opened after what seemed like an eternity. She groaned as reality washed over her once more. She couldn't make out what was going on- her vision was blurred. Voices faded in and out above her. What was going on? With a massive effort, Silverpaw managed to speak. "Sunstorm?" She muttered, groggily. She tried to stand up but collapsed in a haze of pain. Her eyes began to clear up and she could somewhat make out the scene. It was raining, she was with Sunstorm and some other cat, and she didn't have a tree on her anymore. Well, at least there was that. Who knows what would of happened if she had stayed under that massive weight for any longer?

Sunstorm leaned closer to Silverpaw, concern written across his face. "Silverpaw?" he meowed, nudging her gently. It was a bit of relief when she murmured his name- she wasn't dead, but she wasn't in good shape either. "Silverpaw, does anything else other than your tail hurt? and can you move your tail?" He meowed, his voice low and urgent. Lightningclan's medicine cat had gone missing, and there was no one to care for the sick and elderly. Sunstorm hissed quietly to himself as Wolfstorm quickly disappeared, only to reappear a moment later, with several bunches of herbs in her jaws. The silver tabby dropped the herbs and quickly sorted through the smile pile. There were poppy seeds, to dull the pain, but Wolfstorm didn't want to give it to her yet- she needed Silverpaw to tell her and Sunstorm what hurt, so they could hopefully treat her...Wolfstorm had no medicine cat training, but she'd always been interested in herbs. Perhaps she could help..She didn't know. but it was worth a try.

"You know herbs?" Sunstorm mrrowed in surprise, his voice still tight.

Wolfstorm didn't answer- she hadn't heard him, and instead continued to work on the herbs. She plucked one from the pile and began chewing it to a pulp, and then mixed it with another..She hoped that was the right poultice..She slathered it carefully on Silverpaw's tail, and waited for the apprentice to try to tell them what else was wrong...

"...Tail?" Silverpaw groaned groggily. "Move..." She gave a feeble flick of her bushy tail, then winced in pain. "It... hurts... " She then lifted her head towards the stormy sky, and opened her mouth. "Water..." She murmured as the heavy drops fell into her open jaws. Then, she turned her emerald gaze to the other cat that had helped her. "Sunstorm... who's... she? Smells... Earthclan..." Silverpaw didn't really care if she was intruding on Lightningclan territory, she was just curious. Another groan escaped her mouth and she dropped her head down on the muddy grass, her eyelids drooping.

Wolfstorm flicked Sunstorm with her tail. "do you know where to find moss? She need some water- else she'll be dehydrated- the shock of the tree landing on her tail sent her into shock." Wolfstorm murmured as she worked. She read Silverpaw's lips. "No, little one, I'm a Waterclan warrior, not earthclan. I...I was looking for my mate." She meowed, deciding not to hide the reason she was here. "I think we'll be able to save your tail." she meowed as Sunstorm took off like a rocket, searching for moss and a stream to wet it in. "It's broken, that much any cat can tell." but....how to splint it? Using her claws, the silver tabby warrior ripped several pieces of bark off a nearby tree and plucked some strong looking grass with her jaws. Sunstorm returned a moment later, and and carefully let the water from the moss drip into Silverpaw's mouth...

Silverpaw blinked gratefully at Sunstorm as he returned with water."T-thank you... both." She managed to mew. Glancing down at her tail, she winced as she saw her silver mass of fur- now badly bruised. It hurt more than anything ever had before. "W-will I be okay?" She asked, looking worriedly up at the golden warrior, the cat she had come to trust so much. Why had the day ben spoilt like this? What had they done to deserve this? Life was just so unfair, even when it was in the paws of Starclan. Now her training would have to be put off even more.

Sunstorm's heart ached as Silverpaw looked at him, her eyes filled with pain, in more ways than one.. She'd been held back in her training for so long, and this might push her back even further....Sunstorm's ears swiveled back in sorrow. This was his fault.. if he hadn't brought her out here...maybe done some real training with her instead... He padded over to her, and licked her cheek reassuringly. "You'll be fine..." He meowed soothingly, wishing he could do more. "You'll be better in no time." At least he hoped so... His tail curled comfortingly around Silverpaw's shoulders, he turned to Wolfstorm, who sat quietly as he attempted to comfort the apprentice. "Thank you." He meowed softly, wondering why she had helped...

Wolfstorm dipped her head in acknowledgement. "I hope you're okay Silverpaw. But.. I've done everything I can, I don't know any more of the herbs to help you heal faster....But you should be okay." She meowed softly...

Silverpaw let out a soft purr as Sunstorm wrapped his tail around her gently. "Thanks Sunstorm." She mewed, feeling a little better. "I-is your leg okay?" She asked, looking up at him worriedly. She hoped that he wasn't hurt too, then who knows how long it would be untill they could go on outings again? She lowered her head, sadly giving her tail another feeble flick.

Then, suddenly, a little spark lit up in the silver apprentice. She was going to stand up! It was a crazy idea, but something drove her on, and that something worked. She knew that her legs worked fine, so why not? Somewhat shakily, she stretched out her legs, and pushed. Then she was up! Giggling slightly, she trotted around, lifting her tail as high as possible.

OOC- Random! Lol. Well, I figured something had to happen...
