b l i n d____faith Blindfaith opened her eyes and saw nothing but darkness. Must not be morning yet, she thought blankly. Muttering things under her breath she closed her eyes again and tried to go back to sleep, but couldn't. "Ahhhh. This is so...er." The she-cat turned on her other side, hoping that if she became comfortable then sleep would wash over her. Though after 10 minutes of constant tossing and turning she gave up, let out a frustrated sigh, and rose to her paws with a sudden swiftness that her she became light headed and wobbled forward. Catching herself, the Skyclan warrior gave her head a quick shake and forcefully pushed down her paws, making sure that she didn't topple over and walked out of the den, feeling a soft breeze immediately run across her face. Pausing at the entrance of the Warriors' Den, Blindfaith lifted her face up to the sky, stretched, and felt the relief flooding throughout her limbs. She looked around and saw two warriors about to go off on a hunt or patrol. Blindfaith was about to open her mouth and call out to them, but shut it, remaining silent. They were already gone and there was no point in calling them back over to her again--she would rather have them out taking care of the clan first than coming back for her and wasting precious time.
She sat down and began to give herself a wash. After she was done, she sat there looking at the mountains and watched how the sun was coming up over them. Hues of light red and pink were painted on the horizon while the sky up above was a faint, light blue. So many colors, yet they were all pretty, blending in with each other. A faint smile broke out across her face. I can enjoy beauty all day today. I might as well start out and hunt. Her eyes swept over the fresh-kill pile. It was low and surely the queens and elders would start complaining soon if there wasn't enough food. Once again, she rose on all fours and with grace, padded out of the camp, her tail high, eyes narrowed slightly, and ears pricked. She needed to be alert. The clans weren't safe these days and it was pretty stupid of her to leave Skyclan alone--without a partner to back her up in case something happened. Multiple things could occur while she was out hunting: a cat from the opposing clan could cross the borders and attack. It was a one in a million chance that there would be an attack, but there was always that one chance that it could come true and Blindfaith wouldn't allow herself to be caught off guard.
Half running and walking through the woods the femme stopped when she heard the sound of leaves crunching. She froze; muscles tightened and claws unsheathed. "Who's there?" She called out boldly. The wind was blowing away from her and she couldn't smell a thing, except for the odor of prey, old leaves, wood, and dirt. She could distinguish nothing else, but the leaves kept crunching and she knew it was another cat. But the only thing was she didn't know who or, possibly, what clan this cat was from. The Skyclan warrior stood her ground and stared out into the woods, looking left to right, trying to find out who was lurking in the forest with her. [/blockquote]
