"What?" He meowed innocently, giving her a sweet smile. "Me? Naww, never!" He grinned again, giving her a roguish wink. "Besides, isn't that what siblings are for? Spying on each other?" He grinned again. "So, other than that little tete-a-tete, what are you and dad doing just sitting right here?"

Lakeripple felt very much like cuffing her son. She didn't much like his attitude, and wished he would get it adjusted. "Now Crowpaw, is that really any of your business?" She felt like asking if anything was really any of his business, because he seemed to listen to everything, but held it back. That would only fuel more backtalk.

"Well, no. But, what's wrong with listening?" He seemed genuinely confused. "I'll apologize later," he meowed, careful not to roll his eyes, "if that will make you feel better." Crowpaw didn't know what his parents wanted of him. It made him frustrated. What was wrong with a little mischief now and then? It broke the monotony of the day. He sighed and started padding away, annoyed..
(Crowpaw does need an attitude adjustment. *whacks Crowpaw*)
