Okay, this is a poem I wrote about... 2 days ago? Please comment. ^^
There are things in our lives we all avoid,
Others, in our minds, we just devoid
An endless cycle of life and death
Its all just a game, take your best bet
People put on a smile and act all cheery
When in truth, we all feel tired and dreary
Nobody these days knows the tricks to the trade
We just follow the other, a game best played
We get pushed into a system of liars and cheats
Where justice doesn't matter, and death do you meet
Humanity, we're losing our touch that started the flame
Stop drifting about! You're still in this d*mn game!
This isn't a coaster with the ups and the downs
This is where you dust yourself off and turn up that sad frown
Life may be a scandal, a cheat, or even a ruse
But its YOUR scandal, YOUR cheat, YOUR ruse that you use
You can only hope and pray inside this fixed circle
That one day, one time, you'll wear blue instead of purple
Nah, I'm just kidding, that would be lame
'Cause blue and purple are basically the same
This confusing poem was written by a 13-year-old kid
I'm just a paper, why should I lie or even fib?
Well, this is just sad, so on this can, I place a lid
Since from life to bad rhymes did I go, yes I did
Wait a minute, I've still got some time
So let us together, finish this rhyme
We live in an age where being suicidal is cool
No longer do boys go to Jupiter, or girls do they drool
Again I say, we're losing our touch
This time, a piece of ourselves that we each miss very much
Childhood, my dear Watson, childhood indeed
When our parents would cry because we grew like a weed
Now here do I end our bittersweet time
Heh, how ironic, I'm ending a poem with rhyme
I also posted this on my deviant art account at mootikins ^^
