Byakko felt the same aura she did in the land of High Hills. Perhaps she was close. The spiritual she-cat had abandoned her friends to continue her mission, but a certain prickle in her fur had led Byakko here. Her gray eyes flickered as she caught sight of 4 cats.
"he one of fire our dear Wanderer, the one of fire.." The voices of the dead whispered to Byakko.
Soft silver fur bristled. I see. She thought angrily. Byakko's hiding place within the shadows of a tree was soon filled with thoughts of anger, revenge, and yet, pity.

OOC: Pik, that post was so good that i couldn't help but give you yet another rep xP congrads!
IC: Burningstar didn't doubt Foxcloud the least bit when she mentioned the weeds and the fox. Yes, she stank of weeds. Besides, why would his own loyal deputy lie to him? What reason would she have to attack innocent kits and apprentices? It just didn't add up.
"Well done, Foxcloud. We need to be very careful of foxes and the enemy clans, especially during such dark times," he meowed, smiling at Foxcloud's playfulness as well as her loyalty and bravery. "But this kit is too young. We should bring her back to Skyclan to avoid further bloodshed."
His ears flickered when he heard Smallkit meow something out loud. "Waiting for someone?"
All of a sudden, Burningstar felt waves of... anger? madness? His head suddenly turned towards the dark forest, his eyes narrowing. Who was out there?

Smallkit backed away from Burningstar at his angered expression. N-No one. she lied terribly.

Starpaw didn't even notice the conversation going on. Her eyes were narrowed, mere slits as she stared at the deputy who feigned innocence. How could Burningstar believe that Foxcloud was just chasing away foxes? There was no mistaking the fire that had burned in her eyes as she'd chased them; anger, hunger, and yes, madness...She had to get away from Foxcloud and her lies- not to mention the threat she'd clearly conveyed to them, silent though it was. "I'll take Smallkit back." Starpaw blurted. "I'll sneak us through the territories and take her to the border of Skyclan." Not once while she was speaking did her eyes leave the murderous deputy, whose fur was as red as the blood she'd shed. Starpaw could even imagine the metallic stink of blood coming off the deputy- a scent only she could smell, just like only she seemed to see Foxcloud's treachery...Starpaw masked a shiver..

This is my favorite post, I swear. It's amazing lolz. Rep to you all ^^

The dense underbrush trembled and a black pelted she-cat emerged from the bushes, white outlined paws covered in dirt, her cold blue eyes taking in the scene in front of her. Burningstar. a leader she respected and liked, but he was sort of bad with judging cats. Foxcloud. Crazy evil deputy, but she had good leadership and acting skills. Starpaw. She didn't know much about the apprentice.
A skyclan cat?
Fur bristling, the hot headed and quick tempered she-cat stepped forward, dropping the plum mouse she had caught earlier. The cat was only and kit and for that reason alone Bristlefur didn't attack, she had a soft spot for the little things. And this one was smaller then most. Turning her gaze to her leader and the clan deputy she bowed her head low in respect, "Burningstar, Foxcloud."
Twitching her white outlined ears she glanced at the kit, "what's going on here?"

Starpaw's ears flicked towards Bristlefur, but didn't move- nothing could surprise her anymore- not after what had just happened! She stared at Burningstar, pleading inside that he'd let her take smallkit and go- she shivered as she thought of Foxcloud's burning glare, the glare that promised punishment, or perhaps even death. A glare that hid countless secrets, and countless sins and bloodshed that none but Foxcloud and Starclan knew..."Burningstar?" she mewed, looking desperate..

IC: From just beyond the little clearing, Redwing froze. Eyes wide and whiskers twitching in irritation, the tom turned toward the sounds of voices and simply stared. It sounded as though a whole patrol had stopped for a chat beyond the brush! And just when he'd thought he left the other cats behind at camp!
Mouth curling with poorly disguised impatience, the warrior lifted a paw to pad in the opposite direction when he suddenly recognized the voices. Burningstar. Foxcloud. An apprentice, by the pitch... And her. Why could he never seem to get away from her?

Byakko squeezed out of her hiding place. The graceful silver cat curved her way towards the leader and his deputy. Let us see how this goes. "Excuse the intrusion." She meowed darkly.

Burningstar was about to answer Bristlefur's question when a silver she-cat, the rogue that he scented earlier, showed herself. As a leader, he needed the self control to not simply chase a rogue out of the territory. He was the one who took control and talked before making decisions. He glanced at the tiny kit once more before turning to face the rogue.
"What is your business here, may I ask?"

Smallkit's eyes widened when cats appeared out of no where. One by one. She backed away, more then welcome on running away. Her mother and father out of her mind for the time being; Smallkit began to even forget why she was there. She looked over at Starpaw, W-What's going on?[/i] she whispered[/color]

Fur bristling, Redwing peered through the brush at the newcomer. Rogues, loners, lost kits... What was with all of these cats lately?! The warrior fumed with repressed anger, but forced his fur flat. He couldn't rightly explode in front of all of these cats, especially the deputy and leader, so he settled for a glare that had the potential to wither plants where they grew.

Burningstar glanced at Redwing, sensing his hostility. His tailtip flickered and gently brushed against Smallkit as a reminder that things are ok.
"Well you've saught me out. Is there something you want to tell me?" The Fireclan leader wanted the rogue to get on with it. For some reason, he didn't have a good feeling about her.
He didn't miss the glare that the rogue gave Foxcloud.
OOC: sadly, Pik's gonna be away for a bit. =(

Stepping closer to the apprentice and kit, Bristlefur glared at the rogue with mistrust. Her gaze leaving the rouge only once to stare at Redwing. He was here! She growled on the inside, he was always where ever she was it seemed. So annoying! OOC: That sucks  |

Redwing's ears flattened, an expression of disbelief clouding his face. Was this cat crazy or something? He snorted, distracted from narrowing his eyes at Bristlefur and instead turning the look on Byakko.

Burningstar narrowed his eyes at the unfamiliar terms Byakko threw at him. Listener? Spirit Seer? She sounds like a medicine cat... maybe. Old Ones? Must be Starclan...
