A laugh rippled from Dawnflight's parted jaws, rumbling to a purring-stop. "If I didn't know better, I'd say you were all otters, not cats." Grinning, the Medicine Cat gently flicked Hollypaw's shoulder with her tail, only to end up slopping a bit of mud onto her nose. She blinked, startled, and suddenly sneezed, loudly.
Birds lifted from the brush, chattering in alarm. Dawnflight blinked again, and smiled at the dark she-cat sheepishly. "Oops..."

"If we're otters," Hollypaw mrrowed with laughter, "Than what are you? Hahaha, You're the only cat I know of that likes to play in mud~" She said teasingly.

"And otter's mentor." Dawnflight said simply, then grinned. "This coming from the WaterClan apprentice?! I'm still not used to this marshy territory!" Her tail flicked again, this time throwing waterdroplets toward Hollypaw.

Laughing, Hollypaw dodged, ducking low to avoid the shining drops. She scooped up a pawful of water and flung it back at Dawnflight, her laughter ringing in the air. "Yeah, you're an otter's mentor, and a wet one at that!"

Water splashed Dawnflight full int he face, drenching her long, silky fur and whiskers. She only laughed, flicking her own pawful of water at Hollypaw. "Better wet than covered in mud!"

Hollypaw squeaked as the water splashed into her eye. She raised a paw in defense, and then plunged forward into the puddle, using paws, tail and even her head to throw water at Dawnflight. She felt like a little kit again, innocent and carefree...

Dawnflight positively squawked, reeling back and stumbling muzzle-over-paws into a clump of reeds. Rain soaked, mud encrusted reeds...
When the Medicine Cat poked her head out again to kick water at Hollypaw, Dawnflight's white pelt was streaked with light brown, and even stained green in places from the crushed reeds.

Hollypaw keeled over with laughter, tears streaming down her face. "It's ahahaha!!! Th-the mu-mud monster come alive to e-heehee- eat me!" She cracked up again, her sides aching..

Eyes sparking, Dawnflight grinned. Her teeth stood out starkly against the crust of mud around her muzzle. "Eat you?" The Medicine Cat echoed, staring wide-eyed from a "raccoon's mask", "Why would I want to eat a scrawny thing like you?"
Mock-growling, the "mud monster" reared back and lunged at the puddle in front of Hollypaw, sending up a wide spray of mud and water. "I think I'll turn you into a frog instead!"

"Nooooo!! Not a frog! I beg you mud monster, anything but a frog!" She yowled, cowering in mock fear. She turned to run, and skidded on the mud, falling flat on her face. She got up and turned to Dawnflight, a "beard" and bushy eyebrows of mud on her face...

"A toad then!" Dawnflight turned, choked on her purr, bursting into raucous laughter instead. "H-Hollyp... Y-You--Your face!" Panting heavily between laughs, Dawnflight covered her muzzle with her paws, quaking with giggles until she sank to her side. Thank StarClan the rest of WaterClan weren't here to see this... The look on Lakeripple's face would be priceless. Embarrassing, but priceless.

"My face? What's wrong with my face?" She meowed, a grin tugging at the corner of her lips. She bent her head to look in the puddle water, and burst out laughing. "Ahahahahaha!!! I look like a grandfather cat or something, hahaha!! Here mud monster, let me, FIX your disguise!" between gales of laughter, Hollypaw scooped up a pawful of mud, and plastered it on Dawnflight's head, giving her a gloopy shaped horn..
(XD they're soooooo silly! XD LAKERIPPLE SHOULD TOTALLY COME IN XD)

Dawnflight's eye twitched as cold mud oozed into one of her ears. "Ack! Hollypaw, I'm gonna--" Then the she-cat caught a glimpse of herself in the puddle, and promptly burst out laughing again. With her white coat splotched with brown, and the one lopesided "horn", she almost looked like one of those two-leg beasts...
"I'm no mud monster!" Slyly, Dawnflight grinned at Hollypaw and slightly adjusted her "disguise" by pawing her "horn" into two halves atop her head. "... Mooo!"
OOC: That. Would be. Amazing. XDD

Hollypaw couldn't take it- she laughed until she thought she'd die of asphyxiation. "Hahahaha!!! You're a COW???" Her voice rose an octave, and she spluttered into laughter again. "A-All you nee-heehee-d are more spots and a do-heehee - a dopey look in your eyes!" She rolled on the ground, clutching her aching sides...

IC: Dawnflight mooed one more time, then doubled over and flopped on her side next to Hollypaw. She gasped for breath, sides burning--when was the last time she'd laughed this much? Or this hard? Certainly not since this war had started!
"I think... I have... the spots... covered." The once-white she-cat exhaled loudly, trying to catch her breath. Her gaze flicked to Hollypaw between giggles. "Weren't we... supposed to be... hunting or... something?"

"We...were sup=haha, supposed to!" She rolled over, still giggling, to meet Dawnflight's eyes. "But- heehee- we kinda lost focus somewhere back there! Whooo..." She let out a breath, her laughter finally starting to stop. "Ahhhh, mousebrain, that hurt! But." she snickered. "That was soo funny!" She grinned. "I shall always remember you, Dawnflight, as COW!" She started laughing and then winced. "oww.... it hurts to laugh now..."

"And you shall be... Elder Hollypaw." Dawnflight chirped between wheezes, grinning. Then: "I think... we need to... calm down a bit." Heaving a sigh, she lay still for a moment before glancing at the younger she-cat.
"Take a deep breath a hold it for a moment." The Medicine Cat advised, rolling onto her back and kicking her feet into the air. "You might ending up pulling something otherwise."

Hollypaw struggled at first, her funny bone still being tickled, but the deep, soothing, mind clearing deep breaths did thier job, and she sighed in relief, her sides thanking her. "Whew...ahhhh, thanks Dawnflight. Wow, what a "hunt"! We must have scared most of the prey away with our laughter." she meowed ruefully. "Though.... I had so much fun it doens't matter! We should hunt together more often Dawnflight." She meowed rolling over onto her stomach to look at Dawnflight. "Aaand we should probably catch some prey, so our clanmates won't wonder what took us so long to do nothing!" She grinned....

"Yeah, we should hand out more often... Although the elders might get cranky if they don't get their dinner on time." Grinning, the white cat finally rolled to her paws, only to make a face as the drying mud that coated her fur cracked. Dawnflight glanced at her pelt with a sheepish twitch of her ears and a laugh. "Er... We're a mess... Should we clean up a bit before trying to bring prey back to camp?"

Hollypaw nodded, sneezing as a cloud of dried dirt fell from her ears and got into her nose. "Good idea. Or they'll think we met up with a monster mudhole or something. Haha, if only they knew the truth. I'm sure the elders would gasp in horror!" She grinned. "Ooh, the river's not far, let's go there. It'll be pretty warm at this time, after absorbing most of the sunlight for most of the day." She meowed, getting to her paws, the mud on her body almost the same color as her eyes..
