Froststar nodded. "Yes, those cats I've allowed to stay in the Wet Marshes are actually spies from the Tribe, have you heard of them?"

"The Tribe?" Crowpaw looked thoughtful. "No...I've never heard of them. Wait, so... are they a clan, like us? And does that mean that there are other "clans" out there?" His mind was running wild with the possibilities...

"They are an evil group of rogues that seek to destroy the Clans, WaterClan first."

"What??"Crowpaw's meow rose an octave as he squeaked his surprise. "Why would they want to destroy the clans, and us first?" His eyes were filled with horror and disbelief. "That makes no sense at all.... what has waterclan ever done to them? Crowpaw scuffed the ground with a paw, looking upset. "Is there anyway we can stop them? Or...is this part of your plan?" he swept his tail across thier path, indicating what they were doing, where they were going...

"They want to destroy us because their leader, Silentkill, was once a Clan cat. I have a plan, but it'll take time." Froststar sighed, looking her age for a second.

Crowpaw stumbled over a root, his surprise lessening his awareness of his surroundings. "What??" So many surprises, and all at once! Crowpaw wondered if there was anything else that would come as a shock, but he wasn't sure- he'd heard it all now..."But...that still makes no sense, unless she was treated badly in the clans..But.. what are your plans? Can you tell me?" he begged, suddenly worried about Froststar's expression- she looked really old as she told him this- like the cares weighing her down she'd finally come to feel..

"Well, Silentkill wasn't happy with her power, so she gained the trust of a group of powerful rogues by killing her own brother, and promising to destroy the Clans and rule over the entire forest." Froststar felt an eerie chill ripple through her fur, and she could almost feel Whitemoon there, placing his trust in his sister.

Crowpaw was speechless- a cat killing thier own brother? He couldn't imagine how any cat could kill their own flesh and blood- it was just inconceivable! His amber eyes narrowed in disgust and horror. What was the world coming to these days? Suddenly he was struck with an even worse thought- was this a sign of the falling of the clans? When sister rose up against brother, and cats died by the hour? Was this the destiny of the clans? To rise only to fall? Crowpaw's world, full of light and gentle peace was shattered as it finally hit home that things were no longer as he'd once seen them- gone was the innocence of his youth- replaced with the harsh realities of life. "What are we going to do, Froststar?" he meowed softly..

"Fight, Crowpaw. I will not allow WaterClan to fall to my sister." Froststar's fur bristled angrily. "Whitemoon allowed his death. It was for a greater plan he has told me. Silentkill has infiltrated all the Clans, or at least tried to. Do you remember the time I disappeared?"

"With everything that I've been taught," Crowpaw promised, "I will fight for this clan. I won't allow her to do it either." He hissed, his fluffy fur rising in anger. "And yes, I remember...We all wondered if you were ever coming back, and you did." He meowed, tersely, still worked up over Silentkill's treachery..

"I met 5 brave cats then." Froststar looked up, basking in the sunlight.

"Are they from this band of rogues that silentkill leads?" Crowpaw asked, trying to put the pieces together. "Brave cats... to risk Silentkill's wrath? Is that what you mean? are they silentkill's band members?" The grey and brown apprentice looked focused and thoughtful...

"Yes, they went into Silentkill's Tribe to try and stop the war, or at least blunt it." Froststar nodded in the memory of her friends.

"And they're waiting for a signal from you? or are the working right now, at this very moment to undermine Silentkill's authority?" He meowed. "Are we going to challenge Silentkill and put an end to this?" His amber eyes darkened and he dug his claws into the soft earth..

"Redfur is building a resistance. There's a 3 sided battle going on no one knows about. I hope that LightningClan will join him. I am going to fight Silentkill myself Crowpaw. If I get the chance, I will avenge our brother." The leader's eyes narrowed as she thought of the coming battles.

"Really? there's a battle going on already?" Crowpaw meowed, surprised etched on his face. "And I'll help you defeat her too!" He meowed.

(lol I think Froststar doesn't need any help Crowpaw, nor does she want any lol sorry for the bleah post.......)

Froststar purred. "I'm glad to have such a brave apprentice, but it is my duty little one. You just need to focus on training."

Crowpaw looked pleased at the compliment, but looked a little dejected when Froststar gently turned him down. He supposed she would want to do this herself. "I'll be the best apprentice there ever was," He meowed, determined to do his part and to please Froststar. He realized he looked up to her- she was one of his heroes... "So, what are we going to do when we get to where the rogues are?" he meowed, looking interested..

Froststar purred. "I'm just going to... check up on them." She winked at Crowpaw.
