Lakeripple reached up a paw threateningly. I am not your mother, but I am your mate, she said softly, threateningly, yet her eyes were gentle and playful. And compulsiveness is ranked right under rashness in my book. She lowered her paw and rubbed up against him. You know I love you, right?

"Mom! Daaad!" Crowpaw meowed, scrunching up his nose in disgust at the "sappiness" of the conversation. He had not yet taken an interest in she-cats and found love to be gross. "Can't we stick to talking about our cousins or Skywalker?"
"Haha, oh c'mon Crowpaw," Cedarpaw interjected, a big grin on his face, relieved to see that Lakeripple didn't seem annoyed at his ignorance. "You like some cat too I'll bet!"
"Ewww, do not." Crowpaw shuddered.
"Haha, That's what they alllllll, say" Cedarpaw replied.

Lakeripple's eyes sparkled with mischief. Well Cedarpaw, if you are so keen on who your brother likes, then I want to know who you have your eyes on. Hmmm? Anyone special? She chuckled, wondering what her oldest son would say.

"Um....Er...Well that is I..." Cedarpaw stuttered turning bright red. He looked down at the ground unable to answer...
(Hmm....I was thinking Hollypaw, but she's my character, so that might not be as fun. Whaddya think? )
