Sunset's paws dangled into a puddle. Her blue eyes stared into space, and her heart throbbed only to keep her alive. It was broken, and she could feel the pain that it brought. Tears streaked down her face. She was crying a lot lately. Crying for Jet and Mint. Crying for Hiddenpaw. And crying for herself. It seemed like Skywalker would never love her again.

A dark shadow seemed to loom in the tall grass not so far away. Dark eyes watching the she-cat nervously. Mind racing, the past tribe cat had no idea what to do or say. Such a reaction he gave. Skywalker couldn't blame Sunset if she never forgave him.
"Sunset..." the jet black tom mewed pitifully, taking a careful step out of the tall grass and to her. Half expecting the she-cat to claw his nose off, the tom hung his head. Aware that she had the right to, for the way he had been acting around her ever sense Hiddenpaw came.
OOC: sucky post is sucky. =/

Sunset heard that familiar voice, that wonderful peal of bells. She turned to him and cringed. Her eyes were wide in distress. "What do you want?" she asked, making the words come out in as angry a voice as she could manage. "I thought you hated me."

Sunset's ears flattened, her eyes wide in rage. "I wanted to protect you and her. Foxcloud could easily see the eyes, she would know, and I was sure that she would take one of us to find out information. Though that is not why she took those kits, I would rather it have been me to have been taken than you! Skywalker I love you, and I didn't want anything to happen to you!"

"Then why Jet? Why him! If anything, why didn't you at least tell me there was a fourth?" Skywalker fell silent instantly after he noticed he was yelling too. If anything, yelling was not what he should be doing. It also seemed that he was no longer able to sit the tension was getting so high within him.

Tears sprang into Sunset's eyes. "She wants to provoke us. To stimulate us into attacking, so she can have an excuse to wipe us out. And though I love you Skywalker, I'm not stupid! You would have said no and she looked so much like Flashpaw, Treestar, Forestfur... Lakeripple even! Foxcloud would have guessed."

Skywalker hung his head in defeat. He saw no use in this yelling match, and fell silent. Letting the silence rake is hears and throat like badger claws. Finally, he flicked his dark green-blue eyes back to his mate. "The past is the past. Let us now focus on trying to fix the future, instead of dwelling on what has already happened..."
The tribe cat's tail slowly curled in and out nervously.OOC: braindead Pikeru is sucky at posting...  "

Sunset sighed and closed her eyes. "But you still don't understand," she whispered, so quietly that her mate could not hear. Opening her blue eyes wide, she growled. "We are getting Jet and Mint back. And I know how. FireClan is threatening EarthClan and SkyClan. We can side with them. It shall be easy, seeing as I have relation there." Taking in a deep breath, she winced. "There is just one problem."

Skywalker pricked his ears intently as Sunset whispered something, though he could not make out any words, even with his tribe hearing.
The tom nodded at what she said afterwards. With the Earthclan leader as her father, and a brother in Skyclan, Sunset had connections. Though, what could the proublem be? did she not want to risk her little band of cats? Was it how the clans treated them that made her think twice? Skywalker might as well have died from the question. "What could it be? You seem to have the building block for a wonderful plan! Don't stop now..." Skywalker simply mewed.

It seemed as though the world got to kick Skywalker in the chest and laugh when he heard this. "No...Lakeripple...?" the tom didn't WANT to believe it. His sister wouldn't side with an evil clan unless there was a good reason. Maybe they were just too dangerous to go against? If so, what does that say about their chances of getting Jet and Mint back?
Though the fire of battle still wanted to get back the kits and save the forest Sunset loved so much, his heart gave a loud caterwaul at the thought of fighting Lakeripple...

Skywalker gave a small sigh. Spirits once more low. "If we ever join a possible all out clan battle, I don't know I can fight her clan without picturing each cat as one of her close friends..." Loyalties torn, the jet black tom could only hope that his mate would understand how he was feeling.

Silently Skywalker gave a thoughtful nod. Though, this news only slightly calmed him. It was great that they may not have to fight them on the battlefeild, but now, what about her kits? Was Lakeripple safe? What if Foxcloud was dark enough to force her into battle? Or, even worse...kill his sister's kits...?
