"Don't you trust your apprentice to do ok?" Blizzardkit said. "That tree looks sturdy enough to me, all of us were climbing it, and nothing happened. If you have to yell at anyone, which you don't, you should yell at me because it was my idea in the first place!" Blizzardkit announced angrily. 'Stupid older cat thinking she can just push others around.' she thought sourly, too wraped up in her anger to notice Fernfur's change of tune.

"Hey, cool it, Blizzardkit." she calmed the kit. "I was out of place to question Mossfern's athority over Glowpaw, and so are you." she told her gently. She was trying to sound normal again, but her voice was oddly flat, and there was little emotion shown in it. She was locking away her feelings again.

Glosspaw twitched her ears in surprise, before letting them flatten. "Sorry..." Coiling her legs, the little she-cat nimbly sprang down from the branch onto a lower hanging one, but froze when she heard Fernfur and Blizzardkit defend her. Her pale blue eyes rose to meet theirs, and the apprentice shook her head. "Oh, please, don't argue because of me." Mewed Glosspaw, her normally bright voice heavy with guilt. She didn't like seeing other cats unhappy, and liked making them that way even less. Stubby tail lowered, the silvery she-cat jumped the last few feet to the ground and stood in front of her mentor, her eyes on her paws. "I'm sorry, Mossheart. It's not their fault."

"If you say so." Blizzardkit said bitterly, looking over at the quilty-looking Glosspaw.

Fernfur looked at the cats around her. The old uncomfortable feeling was back, and she was tingling uncomfortably. "I-I think I'll go hunting. See you." she dashed out of the camp before anyone could offer their company.

Mossheart glared at the young warrior with narrowed eyes. Who'd ever forbid a cat like that to talk in such an egoistic manner?!?! She was about to protest back at her when Fernfur began to talk again, in a different tone. She'd just consider to forgive her from her apology when Blizzardkit began to raise fuel into the fire. One warrior was enough to lighten the day, but with an kit? Especially at such a young age too! Someone should teach him a lesson though. "Don't talk to me that way. A feeble tree like that, who would ever know the outcome?" She hissed with annoyance. "Besides, if a claw or two of yours ever-" She stop herself short, half astonished and guilty at what she had said and how she had reacted. How could she, a warrior, and yet, a respected cat, talk like that? Not, only to a warrior, but also to a young and stubborn kit? Her action was way beyond accepted. And what would others think of her? Her eyes narrowed again at the little kit, she'd have to keep a close and watchful eye over him alright. Who knew what could happen with a threat like that at her? She turned her eyes away from him, just in time to hear GLosspaw's plead. She huffed, "Alright, this conversation will end right now. There's no discussion over this anymore. It's just that nothing could be trusted, even with a tree like that alright?" She pointed out to Glosspaw, half hoping that she would get the message, not only part as a cautious sign, but a moral behaviour to keep in mind onwards. Seeing that Fernfur sauntering off to hunt, she glance back at Blizzardkit, "Don't cause any more trouble please." she muttered.
OOC: Oh....Blizzardkit under the watchful eye. Better watch out! Sorry to put you on the spot though.

"Er, r-right." Glosspaw stammered, shifting on her paws uneasily. The whole situation had upset her, but she covered it up by giving her shoulder a few hasty swipes. "So, d-did you have plans, Mossheart?" Asked the she-cat a bit more meekly than she usually would, flicking her ears.

Nightpaw sat in the middle of the clearing, looking curiously around her.

Rainpelt strided into the camp, a small robin hanging from his powerful jaws. He was a little proud of his catch. Earlier he had brought in three mice and a thrush. A rather good day of hunting, if he could say for himself. He laid the small bird on top of the freshkill pile. He chose a small thrush for himself and settled down to eat. He nodded respectfully to Mossheart, then turned his attention to the thrush.

Glosspaw figeted, glancing up at her mentor uncomfortably. Now that that had ended, she was impatient to start her training, and the cats milling about was not helping her mind focus...
