Smallkit moved around the tree sniffing flowers her mother's scent was in the air along with her fathers, Smallkit bounded to the tree climbing it's lowest branch looking around. They aren't here... usually her and her mother left at this time [moonhigh] to see her father...Smallkit sighed, Am I late? she whispered. This was the first time she had walked here alone.
She thought for a second, Smallkit would be with Winterpaw in the medicine cat den right now if she didn't leave. Smallkit hoped she would be back in time, her mother said it was always risky leaving camp after sundown.

Winterpaw crawled through the bushes, some thorns snagging on her fur. She asumed Smallkit would be here, but the chances were risky. Getting careless and less patient, Winterpaw started thrashing round, trying to free herself from the thorns. Her back paw must of landed on a sharp stone, becuase a shooting pain went up her leg. Using adrenaline to push out the pain, Winterpaw pulled through the bush, leaving several clumps of hair. Flopping down on her side, she inspected her paw. The cut wasn't too deep, but it ripped open her pad. Winterpaw sighed. This night was just getting better and better.

Smallkit jumped on the tree her claws digging in Oh no someone is coming what did mother say to do when this happened....oh! Smallkit jumped down quickly and dashed under a pile of red leaves, Don't move, don't move...

Winterpaw heard a soft russel of leaves. If it was a warrior, she could say she was following a sign and got lost, but hopefully it was Smallkit. "Hello?" she called out softly, hoping to StarClan that it was Smallkit and she would reply.

Winterpaw let out a sigh of relief. "Good, you're safe. You worried me!" she purred, limping closer to Smallkit.

"I didn't want you to get hurt." Winterpaw took her injured foot off the ground, the blood was now dry and creating a scab. She would have to pull it off when they got back...

"Smallkit, you'll understand one day. For now, why don't we go back to camp?" Winterpaw meowed, feeling too tired to explain her mother's death in some soothing, easy way.
