Claw led the best fighters around 14, toward a dark lake. His feline talons scraped across the bark as he jumped over a felled tree. A strange she-cat, named Kita, lookd around warily. She seemed a little lost, being without her sister, Cami. All 5 of those travelers were mysterious. He shook his long dusty-brown fur and perked his ears forward, trying to sence some sort of other animal.

Forestfur stepped out of the gloom, running his tail down the path. He froze, smelling strange cats, not from the High Hills Band. Turning his head toward the scent, he signaled to Rippedfur.

Claw kept walking, he was eager to meet the Clan. His nose wasn't very good, so he might have walked past some of them without noticing, then Kita yowled out. "Claw! 2!" He whipped around, getting ready to fight, or at least, verbally...

Forestfur saw the cats. His claws hooked into the ground, and his blue eyes glared at them, but he kept the rest of his body relaxed. "Hello," he said softly, glancing around at them. "I don't know if you've noticed, but you've wandered onto EarthClan territory. Please leave, and don't make me go and get Treestar."

Kita stepped in front of Claw before he could speak. "We know. We've come for your help. The group of cats called "FireClan" attacked us." she paused, slightly shifting her weight, but then a tear fell from one of her bronze eyes. "They killed my brother." barely audible, she whispered.
Claw was stricken. Kita was amazing!

Forestfur narrowed his eyes slightly. He had seen this act before. But if they were rogues, how could they know of FireClan if they hadn't been hurt by them? His mind reeled. It wasn't his decision...

Kita walked closer to Forestfur. She wispered into his ear, "I'll explain later. Trust me, please." She needed to have a chance to run off and tell Redfur of the developments, but first she had to get her group into the Clan.
Claw's eyes widened. What was the she-cat telling him?!?

Forestfur glanced at Kita, looking for signs of an act. But there were none. Her eyes were wide in truth... He stood up. "Treestar should be here soon."

Kita let out a small sigh of relief, the tom believed her. She mouthed a small Thank you then went back to her group.
Claw looked over her, asking questions with his eyes. She merely smiled, dismising the subject.

Rippedtail glared at the rogues. Forestfur may seem to trust them, but she didn't. She hoped that Treestar would come soon.

Claw finally snapped. His patience was gone. "What, does your leader think he's too good to come see the rogues?!?"
Kita shook her head, sighing. It gave the suggestion that he had done it before, which he had.

Windgale bounded over to her two clanmates, and then stiffened as she noticed the unfamiliar cats in front of them. "What's going on here?" She meowed quietly to her clanmates...

Windgale raised an eye brow. "Uh...hi, good hunting to you too." She meowed unsure of what to say to this cat. "Why are we all just standing here? And... who are you?" She meowed, the last question directed towards the rogue that had spoken...

Kita stopped grinning, her eyes merely shining now. "We're waiting for your leader to come. This is my family and friends." She motioned to the other 16 cats. "My name is Kita." She felt no need to lie, behind her, the group let out minute gasps, surprised at her refusal to follow the plan. "We were attacked by FireClan."

The feathery grey she cat raised an eyebrow. "Well, it wouldn't surprise me... Haven't you heard anything? Fireclan is getting more violent these days.They're attacking clans every which way." she growled. "We were even attacked not too long ago. " Windgale's sensitive ears picked up the gasps and she wondered why Kita's group were so suprised. "I suppose you've come to ask for shelter and such?" she meowed politely. "Treestar's been busy... If you're waiting for him, it'll take awhile."

Windgale dipped her head in reply. These cats made her uneasy. Well, most cats not from her clan did, but these even more so. But she could see nothing wrong with them, other than Kita's over happy personality. Was she always this way? Even so soon after an attack by Fireclan? She sat down next to Rippedtail, but the silence that ensued was too uncomfortable. "I'm sure you can hunt as long as you stay in this area, if my clanmates agree. If they do, don't wander too far into our territory." Windgale shot them a hard look. She mistrusted all cats except her own clan.

Kita returned a hurt look. "You don't trust us. Thats silly. For what reason would we hurt you?"
Claw huffed. He hated how Kita was dancing around thr truth.
