Bird's amber eyes raked over the group of cats. Sunset just let's all these cats here they'll run her from her territory. Not if I can help it, Bird thought angrily. Young Burning was out and about with these new cats. Wait that one doesn't look familar, Bird thought. She breathed in the air around her. She doesn't smell familiar either. The slender she-cat leapt toward the new cat, claws unsheathed and teeth bared. She was ready for a fight. A real one, not the silly little defence some of these cats put up.

"Bird! Mom!" Burning breathed, smiling in his happy manner. He purred... and then looked curiously at the cats that were with Maple and Courage... Who...Who were the other two? He'd never seen them before.. They certainly didn't smell of thier band..
Courage smiled. "Good morning Bird, Burning." He put himself protectively in front of Shell. "It's alright Bird, she's just came because she wanted to know if Sunset or Skywalker, or even you knew about her brother, Shock. She can't find him, and she's not interested in joining the High Hills Gang." He said, trying to reassure the protective she cat..

Bird hissed, but didn't not attack farther. "Never seen him, and you'd better hope I never do," she meowed. Her tail flicked aggressivly from side to side.

Courage gave Bird an exasperated glance, but he knew ever since Mint had been stolen, she'd been even more hostile to all strangers, which was understandable. He looked at Sunset, waiting for her reply...
"Bird!" Burning chirped. "Where's River today? I wanted to ask him if he would play with me or train! I looked everywhere for him, but...." His voice trailed off.

"Well, I think he said he was giong to hunt," Bird meowed. She was not going to lose her other kit, so River had to report where he was going whenever he wanted to go different places.

"Oh, okay!" Burning chirped, smiling. "Oooh, Bird, can you teach me some fighting moves? I don't want to lose against River the next time we spar!" He meowed, grinning..

"Of course, but River has natural talent," she meowed. River, being her son, had most of her fighting talent. Her's was still stronger and more honed, but River was good. "I used this move when I attacked Nike when we first met." Bird demonstrated by running in very fast circles around a rock. To finish, she reached out a paw and hit the rock. Hard. "Ow! For future reference, don't try that on a rock. Now you try, just use the air."

Burning nodded, not jealous at all. River did have natural talent. He wondered what his natural talent was, but the thought was soon lost as he listened to Bird's instructions. He snickered. "Well yeah, " he said, giving a goofy grin, "hitting rocks generally hurts!" He giggled a moment longer, before, replaying Bird's move over in his mind again, nodding as he saw each step she made. With that, Burning chose a central point, and began running circles around it, running as fast as his growing legs would permit him. Then, he struck-

"Good! Your much faster then River, I tried to teach him this one, but he couldn't do it," Bird meowed. She was pleased that she was able to help the cat with his fighting.

Burning grinned. "Really?" His eyes glinted mischeviously. "haha, I can't wait to find River and try this out on him!" He meowed, his voice breaking as it went from high kit voice to of a more mature apprentice one. "Thanks so much Bird!" He loved learning- good thing there was a wealth of knowledge that awaited him, from Bird, to Byakko, and Skywalker and Sunset, cats whose vastly different backgrounds and knowledge were brought together in one place. In Burning's mind, the High Hills Band was the most advanced and skilled "clan" in the whole of the forest. Surely the clans didn't know half of what his tribe did!

Maple blinked and looked away, the conversation went to long and she was easily confused but kept her ears pricked.
Shell blinked and began to grow uneasy. She wasn't sure where this was going, but had a good idea Shock wouldn't be here...

OOC: Um, yeah, Lakey forgot this thread. And now it's so old... grr. I don't think I'm going to really post... just walk around with a sign that says "NO COURAGE AND MAPLE YOU MAY NOT GO TO FIRECLAN!" Jet and Mint are hidden until... eh... Pik and I decide what we want to happen.
