Gathering (March 19-31, 08)

OOC: So yeah, gathering officially here after 2 months. *sigh* Anyways, Pikaru, is Treestar going to be here?

The full moon hung against the eerie silverpelt once again. The silvery mist drifted as well, just in time for another peaceful gathering. A gentle breeze flowed, making each leaf rustle, breaking the silence of the cold and dark scenary. Like usual, the cats of Lightningclan trampled towards the Giant Oak which held the monthly gathering. From behind, she could hear the excited meows from every apprentice as well as warrior, wondering what each leader had to say. Pausing to look as their destination was within their reach, Mossheart took a deep breath of the damp air. They were the first to arrive. Taking a quick look at Goldeneye, she wondered once again if she was making the right decision, for herself as well as the clan. Bringing the thought out, she waved her tail for the clan to continue on, she broaden her shoulders and stepped on the cold empty earth.

Following her clanmates, Spottednose padded silently. The bushes, shrubs and trees cleared as the Giant Oak was already approaching. Ever since the last incident that happened to Treestar, she wondered if he was still alright and strong enough to represent Earthclan. She sighed, as the guilt of Treestar's incident had always been lingering in her. Suddenly, the scent of many Lightningclan cats approach to her, masking her guilt. Padding forward, she suddenly thought how much she had missed Snowstep. Eager for Skyclan to arrive, she flickered her tail impatiently.

Wildflight looked around the scattering cats. There was no longer an aversion between the clans. Instead, many cats started greeting to one another to their long time friends. Many of the apprentices were chatting happily, bouncing excitedly. The look of them reminded her of Lilypaw. Their training had been postponed because of her disappearance. Now, she had appeared, making her wonder if she had ever forgotten about the mentorship between them. Wildflight looked up, scanning the crowd if there was somebody who would chat with her to forget about this sudden loss.

[Rosefeather]

Rosefeather padded silently behind her leader as they traveled to the Giant Oak. Suddenly, she caught scent of a mix of cats. All the Clans, a rogue, and Whitemoon? How could it be? The Clans and passing rogue she could understand, but StarClan had come here?

OOC: Arg...I'm glad my computer is starting to be kind about showing buttons. Hopefully next gathering I will actually be able to post it..... -_-"

Um...sure...Treestar can be here. I can easily picture him coming despite the risk. "Its all for the clan!" as he would say.... ^^"




IC: Treestar slowly made his way to the Giant Oak. He was aware of the small whispers about him in the clan. They all were about the same thing. The slim light brown tabby fluffed up his long fur to the cold, and to try and make himself not looks as thin. Because of his odd sickness, he wasn't getting much from his food. Not coming would make Earthclan look weak! I just have to pray to Starclan that no cat noticed anything different about me. As the leader led his clan slowly threw the undergrowth, the smell of all the clans washed over him. So did all the worries of being leader. Treestar felt his stomach twist and turn again as he thought of all the things he had yet to do. In fact, what was he going to say when it was his own turn? As Earthclan blended into the crowd of cats, Treestar paused and let the cats walk around him as he closed his eyes slowly and lifted his head slightly to the sky. "Are you watching?" he whispered softly, picturing his lost love.

Thawpelt quickly raced down into the clearing. In a good mood once more, and with his leg almost fully healed, the oddly colored tom was ready for the news of the clans. With a quick sweep of his dark blue eyes, Thawpelt easily spotted his father, Treestar. With a small purr of excitement, the Skyclan tom raced forward, but stopped before breaking into the group of Earthclan cats passing by him. With a sudden wave of shock and concern, Thawpelt noticed how thin and pale Treestar seemed. It was hard to notice, but being his kit, the Skyclan warrior knew he wasn't normal.

Pondpaw followed her clan slowly, and with her tail in the dust. This would be the last gathering she would be able to go to before she had to go to the tribe. The slim silver-blue apprentice let her body turn with her head, as she tried to take in all the scenery at once. Pondpaw wanted to remember everything, just in case she started to loose hope in herself. With her emerald eyes glazed with sadness, the Waterclan apprentice let out a deep, thoughtful sigh before taking a spot close to the Giant Oak.

Shadowfire stretched as much as he could with so many cats so close. His pale green eyes scanned the crowd of cats, trying to find a less cramped area. The Fireclan tom's shoulder-blades rose and fell slowly as he squeezed his way threw the cats, and found a spot with a bit more breathing room. Gazing up at the moon with his pale green eyes, Shadowfire half expected this gathering to not go well at all, and the moon be covered by the clouds.

Brightstone made his way slowly threw the crowd, hoping not to step on any tails or paws. Sitting down in a random spot, the brightly colored tom realized he was sitting near Mossheart. The tom wanted to reassure her that Goldeneye was right, but that would sound like he thought Goldeneye couldn't be leader. So the Lightninclan tom kept silent, and decided to let any cat who wanted to talk, start the conversation themselves. Plus, it was always easier if they started the topic.

With a low growl, Foxcloud glared at a annoying Earthclan apprentice. Still acting like kits. Doesn't Treestar or Flameclaw keep them in line? the red-ginger she-cat questioned in her mind as the Fireclan cats began to separate and meet with old friends. Slowly, Foxcloud let the fur on her shoulders flatten once more, as the Fireclan deputy glanced around the clearing for Moonlitpaw.

Firemist glanced at the cats. She slowly padded her way to Shadowfire. "There is a lot of cats to day," she meowed looking at the large crowd.

Rippedtail walked with her head and tail held high. This was her first gathering as a warrior. She felt as if she were very, very important.

Eagletalon walked toward Lakeripple. She must be nervous. It was after all her first gathering as the deputy of Waterclan. Eagletalon purred and sat next to the she-cat.

Tangleswirl sat next to Brightstone and Mossheart. She felt the worries radiate from Mossheart. "Are you all right Mossheart?" Tangleswirl asked with concern.

Darkpaw walked toward Spottednose. She wanted to ask her a question about herbs that grew near the Giant Oak. "Spottednose," she meowed to the medicine cat, "there a lot of herbs here that I've never seen before. What are they called?"

Mossheart looked up as Brightstone sat next to her. Before she could start a conversation with him, Tangleswirl approached to them with a question. “Yes, I’m perfectly fine. It’s not my first time doing this anyways.” Looking at the gathering of cats made her feel queasy. Would all the cats here approve of this? Trying to get their opinion, she asked, breaking the silence. “What do you guys think of this? Do you all approve?”

The sight of Thawpelt caught her attention. Seeing his expression closely, she could a look of shock that revealed on his face. She gasped…wondering if Thawpelt found out about her leader’s secret? Was it that obvious? And why….why did she sense that there was some sort of concern in him? What was it that he had with her clan leader? All her thoughts were mingled, like loose threads of cobwebs and thousands of questions swept in, demanding for answers. She took a quick look at Treestar, wondering what his reaction was, but his expression was unreadable. A ray of concern wept through her. As Darkpaw’s voice appeared, she glanced at her startled. She look up to see that Darkpaw was in front of her, unaware of her sudden approach. “Which ones are you looking for?” she tried to answer her firmly, wondering if her shaky voice was masked.

Rosefeather calmly looked around. She suddenly realized their leader wasn't there. She sighed.

Whitemoon looked down from the darkening sky. Tonight he would have to reveal what everyone feared most: the uprising of the Tribe.

Lakeripple padded after Froststar, her pelt brissling in anticipation. Tonight it would be announced to the other Clans of her deputyship, and she would sit on the roots of the oak in front of the other Clans. Tonight she would truly take on the deputyship of WaterClan, and prove that her Clan was strong.

Moonlitpaw bounded away from the ranks of FireClan and sat down next to Pondpaw. "Hello!" she mewed.

Forestfur shepherded his son in the ranks of EarthClan. Since Songpaw had dissappeared from his sight, he was watching his son instead.

Flashpaw jumped up and down. His first gathering!

[Rosefeather]

Rosefeather noticed Lakeripple looking very proud, yet scared. Could Lakeripple be the new deputy? Rosefeather kept the thought to herself and faced SkyClan behind her. "Remember not to give out any info that may hurt us. Now go have fun." she smiled.

Lilypaw padded slowly away from the ranks of EarthClan. She saw a pretty she-cat from WaterClan and walked over. "Hi I'm Lilypaw!" she meowed to Pondpaw. Lilypaw's bronze eyes glittering in the moonlight.

Froststar looked back at Lakeripple. "Ready to face every cat of the Clans?" she said sweetly.

Winterpaw looked at Rosefeather. Their leader wasn't there. Again the pretty deputy would have to take over. Winterpaw saw a group of apprentices and walked over. Pondpaw, Lilypaw, and Moonlitpaw were all together. "It's nice to see you again Pondpaw." Winterpaw mewed.

[Rosefeather]

ooc: Woops, forgot one.

Thunderwing looked up at the sky. "What are you planning Whitemoon?" he wispered. LightningClan had gone ahead of him and he scurried to catch up.

Eagletalon knew that Lakeripple was nervous. She just walked past him, and she never did that without looking at him.

"These ones," Darkpaw padded over to a bright blue flower that was shaped like a flower.

"I know you have and I know that you'll do fine," Tangleswirl meowed to Mossheart.

Lakeripple turned to her leader. "Never been readier!" she mewed, her tail bristling with excitement. "Yet I must admit I still need to remind myself that I am not dreaming, I really am deputy!"

Moonlitpaw purred at the othern apprentices. "Hi!" she mewed. "Everything okay in EarthClan and SkyClan?"

Forestfur licked his pelt flat. Then he padded over to his brother, Thawpelt. "Greetings," he mewed, pretending not to be pleased to see the SkyClan warrior.

Flashpaw bounded over to Moonlitpaw, Pondpaw, Lilypaw, and Winterpaw. "Hi!" he mewed quickly. "Can I sit with you?"

[Rosefeather]

Froststar purred. "Good then. You just sit on the root closest to below me. I know you'll do fine."

Lilypaw yawned. "Yeah, just a few rogues here and there, but everyone's getting attacked these days, I wonder whats going on?"

Winterpaw nodded to Flashpaw, "Yes join us!" Then turned to Moonlitpaw and Lilypaw. "Yes, it seems we are. SkyClan hasn't been affected though, we're still strong!" She meowed the last parts when Rosefeather walked by. She sighed in relief when Rosefeather left.

Rosefeather smiled to herself. Apprentices were amusing. She lept onto one of the branches of the Great Oak and yowled for order to start the Gathering.

Lakeripple gave Eagletalon a quick lick, then bounded over to take her spot on the roots of the tree. She glanced over at the other deputies. Uncomfortably, she realized that Foxcloud did not look very friendly. She edged closer to the EarthClan deputy, Flameclaws. Better to not look for trouble.

Moonlitpaw felt happiness burst from her pelt as she saw Foxcloud on the roots of the Giant Oak. She seemed so strong and brave up there!

Forestfur glanced over at Flashpaw, and saw that he was sitting with some other apprentices. Lilypaw was there too. He purred and turned his attention to the tree.

Flashpaw bounced around to look at the tree.

OOC: Sorry I havn't been able to post lately....my reasons will all be explained in the "Vacations" section.


IC: Tearing his gaze away from the stars, Treestar slowly made his way to the Giant Oak. Not ready to see if he could make to a branch in one leap, the Earthclan leader hooked his claws on the bark of the oak and climbed his way up.

"As to you." Thawpelt purred to his brother, trying not to touch his nose to the tip of Forestfur's ear in greeting. With a final nervous glance at Treestar as the Earthclan leader made his way up to the tree, the Skyclan warrior shifted in his spot, and let his gaze sweep over the leaders in the trees.

"Hi! I'm Pondpaw!" the slim silver-blue she-cat purred to Lilypaw. Her emerald eyes glazed with a mixture of sadness, joy, and intisapation as she focaused on the leaders as Froststar started the gathering. Its good to see Froststar doing better...Pondpaw thought to herself, remembering the sickness that had gotten her and the deputy.

Foxcloud slowly made her way threw the crowd to the roots below Burningstar. She couldn't help but smirk as she noticed the cats part a bit so she could pad on threw easily. As the red-orange colored tabby settled in amoung the roots, she shot each deputy a glance in turn. Waterclan has a new deputy.....Foxcloud's mind purred, before she gave her chest a small lick, and sat strait and with pride.

"Indeed....." Shadowfire grummbled before pulling his tail out of the way of some wild apprentices. Once Froststar's yowl broke out, the Fireclan tom's gaze snapped up to the Giant Oak.

[Rosefeather]

Froststar raised her head to the Sky. "Tonight, the Clans gather in peace. I shall start the telling." She looked down at Lakeripple. "WaterClan has a new deputy, Lakeripple."

Rosefeather smiled. It was good to see the Clans in peace, and better yet, a new deputy.

Winterpaw looked up at Lakeripple with awe. It must be hard to take over a position where another died. She looked to her mentor and realized she'd do the same.

Lilypaw nodded to Pondpaw and looked to the Giant Oak. Treestar stood proud. She snickered to herself "I'll be in your place some day."

Thunderwing was looking up at the sky while everyone was looking at the new deputy. He was the only one who noticed a star slowly coming closer and closer...

Whitemoon alighted from his place, trying to not scare anyone, but he knew not even the toughest of warriors would not be able to sleep well after what he had to say.

Firemist held in a purr as the gathering came to a start.

Eagletalon looked at Lakeripple's nervous face, and purred ever so slightly.

Mossheart looked at Tangleswirl with gratitude. “Thanks Tangleswirl, I’ll do my best.” Hearing Froststar's yowl, she said a quick goodbye to her and made her way to the giant oak. Taking her place, she greeted the other clan leaders, she listened as Froststar started her speech, murmuring in congragulations with the rest of the cats to the new Waterclan deputy.

As Spottednose was about to reply, Frostar broke into the clan meeting. Whispering to Darkpaw, she replied, "I'm still not sure where you're pointing at, there's too many cats scattering around. After the gathering's over, you can show it to me alright?"

OOC: sry for lack of posting, guys. XP btw, can someone tell me what's been happening? haven't been on in too long...dont even know what to say for the gathering. @_@

IC: Burningstar sat patiently on a lower branch, watching as all the cats settled down once Froststar started the meeting. The Fireclan leader nodded to the other leaders respectfully and curled his long tail across his dark red paws.

Goldeneye sat uncomfortably on the roots below Mossheart. he felt eyes watch him as the younger Lightningclan warrior jumped onto the tree while he stayed below. his fur prickled as he felt eyes pierce him. he knew there'd be a lot of explaining to do for the rest of the clans to understand what has happened between his and Mossheart's positions, and it wouldn't be easy. he hoped that STarClan would understand, and that soon everything would be alright.

"Ok," Darkpaw whispered back. She turned her gaze to the tree.
