OOC: YAY!!!!!!!!! THE FIRST GATHERING OF 2008!!!!! Same rules apply as all the others. Your cats can be in here, even if they are in another thread. If you fight, gathering over, so don't fight without asking me or Snowstep because we don't want two posts worth of a gathering because someone fought in the first five sentences.
A new thing must be noticed!!!!!! Sense half of the leaders are inactive, Lakeripple will represent Waterclan, Anyone can represent Skyclan, Anyone can represent Lightningclan, because I don't know who has Lightningclan cats besides me, and I want everyone to have a chance at it. If Snowstep isn't able to make it, Foxcloud can represent Fireclan, sense she is the deputy for now...*winks to Spottedshadow*
IC: Treestar padded proudly threw the tall snow. His slim figure, and long fur hardly looked fit for the clumping snow, but the leader was able to make it threw strongly, with head held high. As the Earthclan leader made his way to the Giant Oak, he noticed that Earthclan, once again, was the first to arrive. Treestar gave a small sigh, thinking only that he needs to take more time to get here, and not hurry everyone along, thinking that they will be late.
Thawpelt made his way down into the clearing of the Giant Oak, and shook a clump of snow off his paw. The Skyclan tom took a glance around, and noticed that Skyclan was second. His dark blue eyes fell on the replacement that was here to represent Wolfstar....pitty that the leader was sick.
Brightstone raced happily threw Lightningclan territory, and tore threw the snow to catch up with his clan. The tom had lost the group when he had helped a apprentice with hunting. The light yellow tom paused at the edge into the clearing, and picked out his clan with his bright blue eyes, and weaved his way safely into its ranks. Lightningclan had been third.
Pondpaw bounced happily with her clan. The apprentice was excited to have gone been picked to come, thus, she couldn't contain her energy. Getting the chance to set her emerald eyes on the Giant Oak didn't help with the energy either. She hardly noticed that Waterclan had come fourth. Who cared? She was at a gathering!
Foxcloud looked proudly on into the clearing, yet frowned when she noticed that Fireclan had been last. The red-ginger she-cat looked like a large blood stain in the bright white snow, yet she walked on like she was as safe as any other cat. The she-cat turned, and scanned the clan's ranks in search of Moonlitpaw. This must have been the she-cat's first gathering, and the deputy wanted to see the look on her face.
OOC: My rouge cat, Skywalker, may come later on in search on Lakeripple. So, if he does, please don't chase him off....it will be counted as fighting, because Skywalker is from far away, and he doesn't know about the gathering rules, so he won't leave without a fight.... ^^"

Flashchest looked around as the cats slowly began to gather round the Giant Oak, then he caught Thawpelt in the corner of his eye "Hey Thawpelt!" he yowled, his unusual pelt bounced as he bounded over to him.
Snowfoot looked around the clearing, wondering what to do. He trotted through a group of cats and looked around seeing if there was anyone to share tongues with, after a while he sat down, his stumpy tail twitched as he tried to keep it still.
Thunderpaw bounded around happily, he never thought he'd be told to come along to a gathering, but he had. After a while he stopped and began to look around for Rippedpaw.

Tigerfur weaved through the crowd of cats, and like always, Swiftface was by her side. "Who do you want to hang out with tonight?"
Swiftface glanced around the clearing, then the tom spotted Snowfoot. "We can go and hang out with Snowfoot."
Tigerfur nodded her agreement and padded over to greet the tom.
Swiftface padded after Tigerfur. "Hey Snowfoot! How are things running in WaterClan?"

Lakripple led her cats out of the undergrouth. As she looked up at the Great Oak, she felt a trill of excitement. She was to adress the Clans from it's mighty branches this very night! Then came the nervouseness. How was she ever to get the confidence? She secretly wished that Froststar and the deputy were not sick with the deadly blackcough, fighting hard for their lives. She thought of her leader lying in agony in her den, with Nightmoon watching over her day and night. Then her mind turned to the kits. Was it right to leave them under care of the other queens? She turned to Eagletalon, and brushed her fur to his, wondering if he too was having the same misgivings.
Brooksplash stalked past Lakeripple, and started towards a clump of EarthClan warriors, whom Flameclaws was with. Then she paused. Was it safe? She looked around, and noted a pale brown tom watching her love. Forestfur, she guessed. Anguished, she sat down with Snowfoot and tried to keep her gaze away from the EarthClan deputy.
Forestfur looked intently at Flameclaws. He saw the deputy staring dissappointedly at a gray cat that smelled of WaterClan. She was also looking at him. Anger pierced Forestfur. This must be the deputy's secret! He was in love with Brooksplash. Sharpening his claws on the ground, he set off towards Thawpelt.
Moonlitpaw stared aroung with wonder. There were so many cats, she didn't know what to make of them. Deciding to get to know the other apprentices, she padded over to Pondpaw and Rippedpaw. "Err, hello," she mewed. "Can I sit here?"
Not far away, an orange she-cat pelted after a jet black tom. "Skywatcher wait!" she gasped. "You heard Moonrise, she doesn't even know who you are!"
Moonrise gazed down from the sky at the assembled cats. Her eyes fell on three toms in paticular, Treestar, Thawpelt, and Forestfur. "Be careful," she murmured. "Stay calm."

Yawning as he trotted into the area, Ghostsight lazily glanced at all the other cats assembled here. He had been admitted into the ranks of Waterclan not very long ago, and wondered what other kinds of cats would show up to this place. Gazing skyward, the branches of the oak jutted out, placing a shadow over the meeting ground, and he noted how tall the tree was. Looking back to the other cats, he began to place names with faces, so he could remember who was who. He'd always had a bad memory before. Shaking his head slowly, he slinked up behind Lakeripple, but stayed silent. If someone from the other clans wanted to talk, they would, so there was no need to strike up unwanted conversation. He also noted that being new to things like this put him at a slight disadvantage of meeting other people. Besides, he could sense the discomfort radiating off of Lakeripple. He whispered so only the two of them could hear.
"Relax, and you'll do fine...no use getting all worked up and such. You'll have to see Nightmoon for an upset stomach."

Skywalker raced on, trying to ignore Sunset's words. Until, he stopped at the edge of the clearing to the Giant Oak tree. Thousands of mews of many voices and cats were easily heard. The jet black tom sharply turned to face Sunset, "I have to see her! Who says I will talk to her? My goal is just to get close...." Skywalker trailed off, before a sneeze. The stink of what ever clan's scent he had rolled in was strong, and it tickled his scent glands. It seemed like a good idea at first to roll in a clan's scent marker, so he could walk freely in the gathering place at first, but now he regretted doing it, and could only hope it would come out in a cold bath. As Skywalker set his dark green-blue eyes on Sunset, they grew filled with heart. "Your kin visit and love you....but Lakeripple.....she doesn't even know I am here....." And with those final hurt filled words, the jet black tom raced down into the gathering, hoping that his new smell would work.
Pondpaw turned to see a apprentice, just like herself. "Oh, sure!" She purred happily, scooting over a bit to make room for the Fireclan apprentice. The slim she-cat's thoughts couldn't wait. "Your first gathering? It is for me!" Pondpaw purred happily to the other apprentice. Her small silver-blue paws were working on the ground joyfully.
Thawpelt turned to see Flashchest bounding to him. The brown and white tabby's tail twitched slightly at the thought of talking to someone in a better mood then him, and none the less, one that may talk about what had happened with him and his sister, Sunset. Biting back a comment, Thawpelt pulled his tail closer, exposing a spot for the younger tom to sit. Maybe Thawpelt could get threw the gathering without having to answer any questions about that night.
Treestar frowned when he noticed that Forestfur didn't look to happy, and that he was heading for Thawpelt. Had Thawpelt done something? No....why would Forestfur be angry at his brother? The leader let out a small sigh to calm himself, and glanced up to the stars. "Are you watching?" the Earthclan leader whispered to himself, searching each star for a sign from Moonrise. Even a single star giving a small twinkle would be enough.

Misty let out a gasp as Skywalker raced into the Gathering, it took all her effort to not shout after him. She glanced over to Sunset with a worried look in her eyes.
Stream let out a hiss as Skywalker left "What does he think he's doing?"
Misty rounded on the silver she-cat. "He's going to find his sister!"
Stream blinked, but said nothing more
After an arkward moment Flashchest cleared his throat. "Ah, sorry about yesterday" he mewed meakly. Then saw Forestfur approaching.

Spottednose sat beside Wildflight on an empty clearing. She looked around and again, there were many cats socializing with one another. The chattering of cats were growing louder now with laughter from different places booming in between. Apprentices were looking at everyone shly with curiousity. Spottednose could help but sigh at how she was now a warrior. Getting older every minute.
Mossheart padded with her clan, hoping to catch a glimpse of Emberfrost. The last time they talked, they were interrupted by the voice of Burningstar. This time, she hoped that their coversation will succeed for once at least. She peered nervously, looking around eagarly for him and spotted him with Treestar, the EarthClan leader. She silently padded over to him, hoping that she wouldn't catch in too much attention. "Hey Emberfrost, hi Treestar" and dipped her head after meeting Treestar's gaze.
Moonpelt couldn't find anyone to talk to. So she padded up to the closet cats. She could recognize Pondpaw from Waterclan and another unknown one. "Hi" She chipped in, hoping to start a conversation with both apprentices. Seeing the enthusiasm of both of them, she couldn't help but remember the time when she was an apprentice. Though, it seemed like a long time ago.

OOC: oops late for the gathering huh? XP my baddddd.... my gosh this is gonne be hard. @_@ my comp cant make any colours... ah.
IC:
Burningstar: The Fireclan leader's dark ginger pelt was barely visible in the night. however, the shining full moon gave a silver outline to his lean body. he would announce Fireclan's new deputy. he didn't know how the other clans would react to this news, but he hoped that his clan would stand strong against all this, even though there were discussions through out the whole day. in front of the other clans, the only way to stay strong is if FireClan stays as a unit. if even one cat falls out of that order... the whole clan would be an attack target, for there won't be unity.
((sry my posts are sucky. currently in class right now and i have no idea what im talking about. @_@))
Emberfrost: Emberfrost's hard amber eyes caught sight of Sunset. the tom has never seen the rogue in his life. that got his interest. the moon shone on his icy white fur, giving it a piercing glow that complimented the ember streaks that ran across his fur. it looked like fresh blood on snow. his broad shoulders moved smoothly until he crossed the clearing and came up to Sunset and Treestar. "Treestar." he gave a polite nod to the EarthClan leader, but his eyes were on the other cat. "and you are?"
Goldeneye: Goldeneye sat uncertainly on the giant oak's tree root. his golden and green eyes darted back and forth, watching to see if his leader would appear. he knew she won't though. once again she gave her responsibilities to him. he didn't know what was going on but he hoped she would be back to her leader duties soon. this would be his second time speaking for lightningclan.... he hoped the other clans won't suspect anything.
Snowstep: The pretty slim she-cat padded through the mass of cats. although her pelt was light grey, under the moon it looked like shining silver. her snow-white paws made no noise and she nodded respectfully to the other cats as she passed by them. her bright green-blue eyes were searching for her friends. but for some reason she was also watching for the odd brown pelt of Thawpelt. instead, her eyes caught sight of Sunset. she had a feeling she would never get along with her... she quickly turned away, and found her friends in a small group near the edge of the clearing. she smiled and slid past the other cats. "hello Spottednose! how's prey running, Wildflight? i miss you guys" she purred and sat down with them. they were the only cats she felt comfortable with, including Moonpelt.
Smokepaw sat alone again. his dark blue eyes were on the beautiful silver apprentice, Pondpaw. it's been so many suns... he has been busy with his training, and worked hard every day. and for some reason, every time he had time to rest, Pondpaw was out of camp. not only that, the "gift" he was given by Whitemoon was very hard to control. he's not only been working hard on training, since he was almost old enough to become a warrior, he was also using up all his free time so he wouldn't feel the urg to use his gift. it was always pulling on him though. pulling...pulling... it took so much strength to restrict himself as he dug his claws into the earth.

Lakeripple looked at Ghostsight. "I don't know what I'm going to do! Both Froststar and Oceantide are sick with blackcough. I should be home with the kits!" her voice rose to a high-pitched wail.
Brooksplash looked at Forestfur and tiny trills of discontent raced through her. No matter what, she knew that he knew. She lowered her head. What would the beige tom tell Treestar?
Moonlitpaw lookd at Pondpaw. "Yep!" she mewed proudly. "Burningstar finally said that I'm old enough!"
Forestfur sat down next to his brother. Then his eyes locked with Sunset's. What was his sister doing here? Tapping his brother's sholdier, he pointed her out.
Sunset ducked her head, thrying to blend in. "Skywalker!" she hissed. "You are going the wrong way!"
Moonrise stared down. She noticed Sunset creeping into the gathering. What was she doing here?

Silverpaw padded into the clearing, after her clan mates. Her bright green eyes scanned the clearing for someone she knew. She didn't see anyone, so she sighed and sat down. What news would the clans learn tonight?? She lifted her sleek paw to her mouth and licked it softly.

Moonlitpaw looked around at the silver tabby. "That a new apprentice?" she asked Pondpaw.
Brooksplash padded up behind Silverpaw. "Go on!" she urged, pointed towards Pondpaw, Rippedpaw, and Silverpaw. "Go make some new friends!"

"Things are running smooth in LightningClan." Tigerfur looked around the clearing to see that more cats had entered. But there were some leaders missing.
Swiftface looked at Snowstep and gave him a mischevious glance. "Found any WaterClan she-cats your interested in?"

OOC: My brother, Thew00tninja, is just going to post through me, 'cuz I don't want to sign off.
IC: Ghostsight sat, and he listened. It was one of the things he did best, or so he thought. After Lakeripple was done talking, He began to lick his chest in thought, looking back up after a short while, tilting his head to the side.
"The kits are in good hands back at the camp. Noone would dare let anyone else attack the kits. As for Froststar and Oceantide, Starclan willing, they will be better before you know it. Right now, focusing on the task at hand is the best idea, and let other worries come to your attention at a later date. You will find your strength to tackle each of these problems in time. This I know."
Closing his eyes, he nodded slowly, then opened them and looked back upon the gathering.
"I'm kinda new here...anyone I should look out for?"
Pondpaw brightened up. "Isn't it wonderful? The Giant Oak looks better in person!" Pondpaw was about to say that she had been here before, but not in a gathering. Before she said this, the apprentice held her tongue, and turned away instead. After a bit of searching, her emerald eyes locked with Smokepaw's dark blue ones. After giving him a heart-warming smile, she turned back to Moonlitpaw.
Skywalker paused, and turned to Sunset, who was following him in. She still smelled of rouge, so it was a surprise cats weren't turning to face her. As she got close, he gestured for her to lead the way.

Lakeripple nodded to Ghostsight. "Be careful of LightningClan, they are speedy. FireClan can be relatively fierce, but they won't break the truce. Yes, LightningClan is the one to look out for." She did not mention that she had her own reasons for hating LightningClan, her father was from it, and she hated him.
Sunset bowed her head. "She is over there, talking to that tom." the orange she-cat pointed to the beautiful blue-gray one.

Pondpaw's whiskers twitched as she looked at the new Waterclan apprentice. "Yeah, thats Silverpaw. She seems nice, but I havn't gotten a chance to talk to her." She answered, smiling brightly and waveing her tail for Silverpaw to come over.
Skywalker nodded, and raced threw the cats. As he went threw a clan, he noticed that he smelled of them. Hopefully it wouldn't matter that he smelled different then what his sister would. As he got close to Lakeripple, the tom stopped. He wanted to call out, SISTER! But...what would he say?
Thawpelt turned at were Forestfur was pointing, after telling Flashchest it was okay. Sunset? What WAS she doing here?

Lakeripple turned around. There was a black tom. Something clicked in the back of her mind, he seemed familiar, but where. I smelled of LightningClan, yet something was under that. Then her eyes bulged. Rouge! Yet he was staring at her oddly, she just wanted to go up and nuzzle him.
Sunset ducked her head and flattened her ears. Her brothers had seen her. This was not the next visit she had planned.

OOC: Oopse....forgot to let my brother post...... >_<"
IC: "And what of the other clans?"
As he said this, he noticed a tom coming for them. He probably wanted to talk to Lakeripple, but something seemed different about this cat. Ghostsight's ears went forward, and both of his eyes locked onto the newcomer, and he shifted from paw to paw. Threat? Friend? He made a mental note to learn who everyone was, so he wouldn't feel like this again. He would have to walk over and talk to the apprentices soon. Getting to know the new wave of warriors for the clans could only do him good, but for now, he would stay near Lakeripple, incase something was to happen.

Still looking at the black tom, Lakeripple answered Ghostsight. "EarthClan you can trust most of the time, and SkyClan isn't that bad." Yet her mind was not on the question. It was on a long buried memory, a huge wave and cats shrieking.
