When Coalheart and Fernfur arrived back at camp, Fernfur had run so quickly she was out of breath. "Thank you, Coalheart." She panted. Then she blushed. "Ohh...Silversong must think I'm so rude!" she moaned. "maybe I should say sorry later...tell her I didn't feel well?" Fernfur panicked.

Coalheart shook his head, I'm sure she won't take it that way...you did have to bring this back his tail pointing at the fresh-kill and looked back at Fernfur smiling a closed eyed smile, I'm sure she will take it that way. he added.
He sat down watching Fernfur, So what made you change when Silversong came? If you don't mind me asking that is. he said gently.

Fernfur looked down, blushing through her fur. "N-not every cat is as...understanding as you and Sunstorm...you're easier to talk to than most cats. You...act as though you like me, like you want to be around me." She smiled at the dark warrior. "But...I think...if I spent more time with you...I could be a better cat around the rest of the Clan." she looked deep into Coalheart's eyes. "But...you have problems of your own. I can tell. I can always tell. That's part of why I don't like talking to others...I can always see that there's something wrong...and there's something wrong, isn't there, Coalheart?" She could feel her eyes burning, then she realised she was doing what she was always afraid of doing. "I-I'm sorry...I shouldn't have done that...that was rude." She looked at the floor of the camp. But Coalheart's pain burned through her, and it was so simaler to her own pain...that feeling of not wanting to be here anymore. She felt like she had to do something. She was about to turn, to leave the conversation, she had said too much already...but...she turned around, her insides burning with some feirce emotion..."Coalheart, if you ever want to talk...I owe you a favor. I'm here, okay? You listened to me, so if you ever need someone to listen to you, Ill be here!" the words seemed to burst out of her of their own accord. She was about to apologise, but she couldn't speak. She just looked at the floor, feeling Coalheart's presence so strongly.

Coalheart blinked Poolkit was clearly imprinted in his mind..he really did have problems that were never opened, I don't talk about the past. I want to but I don't... Coalheart moved his head so he locked eyes with Fernfur, I do have problems of my own..I do hurt.. he sighed and looked away..
The words I like .. no love you stuck in his throat.

Fernfur couldn't quite place the emotion in Coalheart's voice....what was it? But she knew she felt it too... "It's okay to hurt...I can see your not quite ready to talk yet...but when you are...I'll be waiting." Fernfur smiled. She picked up the squirrel and walked over to the fresh-kill pile.

Coalheart looked at the ground, What am I to do Poolkit? he asked desperately. He thought that her voice in his head wouldn't respond when he heard a soft tick in the back of his head, Open up. said a friendly voice. Coalheart smiled, his sister was always with him..though he thought he just imagined it ... wished it.
Coalheart followed Fernfur, Why listen to others' problems when it feels like that person is just concerned of themselves and not the listener? he asked. Why would Fernfur want to listen to him when she had her own share of problems?

Coalheart laughed his tail flicking Fernfur's ear, Are you sure you want to hear my problem? It is a long and...pointless story that happened oh so long ago... he said looking away.
ooc- my post is short this time but if Fernfur say's yes then my post will be uber long lol

"If you want to tell me...if you want to talk, then yes, I do." Fernfur looked deep into his eyes. "I heard about Poolkit...she died long before I was born...but I heard about what it did...to you. I'm sorry...but it seems like you need to talk. So go ahead. I'm listening."

Coalheart sighed, this was really just great. Fernfur knew of his troubling past. Poolkit was my sister as you know already. She died as a kit for not being born healthy, while I her twin brother survived. Coalheart sighed, Even if I didn't know her for a long time, she was still close to me. Twins after all. Coalheart gave a half hearted laugh.
When she died, I tried to kill myself many times that I don't know how many. he looked away, Fernfur would probably think he was a suicidal freak now. One time, my last time, Poolkit told me to stop; that I shouldn't grudge over her death. But I still do, I miss her that I would kill myself. Coalheart flattened his ears looking at the ground, Maybe I have been over reacting to the problem, but I just don't know how to look at things the same anymore.
Coalheart looked at Fernfur again but didn't meet her eyes, But you came and...I know that my problem may not be the worst out there and he fell silent and looked away, You probably heard all of this though in the stories..
ooc- got lost on the words so yeah may not make sense hehe ^^;;;;;

"I...understand." she said. Her mind had begun to talk without her consent, but she knew the words were true. "I understand...what it's like...to not want to be here anymore. And I want tot help you." She looked deep into Coalheart's troubled eyes. "Let's...help eachother." Fernfur's heart suddenly surged with an uncomprehenable emotion, taking her over. She pressed her muzzle to Coalhearts side without thinking, her eyes shut tightly, breathing in his scent. It was only a friendly, perhaps comforting gesture, but it felt like a lot more to her. Her insides burned.
((I'm gonna get sunstorm to come back to camp now...that might make things interesting...lol))

Sunstorm bounded back, a few mice dangling from his jaws. He stopped at the sight of Coalheart and Fernfur close together, seeming to enjoy each other's presence. A sharp pain dug itself into his heart- she liked Coalheart.... with a great effort, he managed to put on a cheerful facade and padded over to the two cats, though inside he felt rejected..
"There you two are..." He meowed, giving them a halfhearted grin. "I brought back prey if anyone's hungry!" He offered them the plump mice..
(lol poor Sunstorm! )

Fernfur noticed something was different about Sunstorm...he looked happy, but he didn't seem to feel happy...what was wrong? "Um, thanks Sunstorm." She attempted to smile. "Are...you all right? You seem different..." Maybe he didn't like Coalheart...and it was because she had been standing so close to him? She didn't know. She took a step towards Sunstorm, and away from Coalheart. She wanted Coalheart to be happy...but she didn't want Sunstorm to be sad. And if he didn't like Coalheart...
((lol she has no clue that sunstorm likes her))

Sunstorm raised his eyebrows (do cats have 'em?) "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired from all that hunting." He gave a large yawn. "So what were you and Coalheart talking about while I was gone?" he asked, wondering why she stepped towards him..

Coalheart blinked when Fernfur didn't tell Sunstorm what they were talking about. He was greatful for that, he didn't want to seem weak for missing a cat that he didn't know for long...
Coalheart looked away, this was their conversation; if they wanted him to join it they can just ask. He looked at the sky for the meantime.

Sunstorm nodded. "We had fun. Silversong's a great friend once you get to know her." He meowed. "Well, I gotta go. I've got to get up early tomorrow for patrol." He was just a little hurt and wanted to spend time by himself. "Bye Ferfur, Coalheart. See you in the morning!" He flicked his tail and then padded off to the den.
(lol Sunstorm's poutin' XD Don't worry about him though. Soon he'll stop being such a wuss and realize that Coalheart is the one for Fernfur)

"Uh..bye..." she watched Sunstorm go. "Coalheart...do you think there's something wrong with him?" she asked. She was confused. "Does...does Sunstorm not like you...or something?" she looked from Coalheart to the warriors den, where Sunstorm was, and back again.
