Gathering (Oct 26 - Oct 30, 07)

OOC: yeah, that sounds pretty logical. XP

IC: Snowstep looked up, still sort of lying there, her eyes a little dazed. "oh, sorry Burningstar. I didn't mean... It was..." she wasn't able to finish explaining when all the light in the sky was suddenly gone. the black clouds had finally done their job. the bright, full moon was now gone, and so were all the stars that usually filled the sky. A blinding flash, followed by a loud, heart-piercing thunder crackled in the sky, making cats hiss and shriek in fright. Snowstep was instantly up on her paws, her eyes wide as she tried out the make out the shapes and scents of the cats around her.

"This gathering is over!" she heard Burningstar announce in his professional leader voice. the two were friends since they've talked in gatherings during their apprenticehood, and he's usually a fun cat to be around, but he gets very serious when it comes to his clan.
"i'm sorry, Burningstar, i didn't mean to have the gathering end like this..." Snowstep meowed, her voice hurt, though not only for this.
"no worries, Snowstep," Burningstar was back to being the good friend he is, not only a leader. "there's still next moon." he purred and gave her a small lick on the head before calling to his clan and leading them away.

Snowstep was glad she had a friend like Burningstar. slowly, the scents of cats started becoming clear again as cats of each clan separated to gather in groups. she easily found the skyclan group gathered around Wolfstar, and the group started back to their territory, cautious of where they stepped because of the utter darkness.
she felt something empty in her heart though, but from what?

OOC: Okay! Oh my! I just noticed, that I think there is supposed to be another gathering tomarrow! lol, or I have it wrong....



IC: Thawpelt slowly got to his paws after his short heartbeats alone. It wasn't much, but it gave him enough time to calm down, and think about what was going to happen next. Snowstep would never forget this, and sure as Demonclan, nor would Thawpelt. The brown tabby fur along his spine, was still a tad puffed up, but his tail was now getting back to its normal size.

As Skyclan got together, and began to head back to camp, Thawpelt waited for them to pass by, so he could follow behind them all. Most of the cats threw him frustrated and angry looks, but they didn't look at him long, for his eyes burned harshly at each one. The dark blue flames within his eyes, challanged them all, and no one wanted to get in a fight right now. As the light fur of Snowstep began to pass in front of him, the flames turned on her. Thawpelt let them dig into her smooth fur as she passed by, and finally the Skyclan tom noticed something. He felt empty. Now that Thawpelt had yelled those words, and gotten out all his frustration and anger for her out, there seemed to be a hole. And this hole was slowly being filled with pain. Not the pain from the deep slashes on his side, that still pulsed out blood, but different pain. But before Thawpelt could figure it out, the group had passed.

"What now?" Thawpelt whispered to himself, knowing that no cat could hear him. It is Snowstep's turn to beg for friendship. His mind explained harshly. "But....what if my words hurt her?" Thawpelt asked himself again. So? What is a few words, to a life-long time of bitter words she has said to you? Thawpelt's mind spoke the truth, but the Skyclan tom didn't like it. "Maybe I can have some more time alone at camp..." Thawpelt's words trailed off, as the camp came into view.

After nodding to Emberfrost goodbye she prodded back with her clan back to camp.

Spottednose sighed and found Wildflight nearby and both headed back to camp.

Moonpelt felt guilty now. This was her first time that Snowstep had ever yelled at her. I shouldn't have said those words she cried to herself. I'll have to apologize to her. Searching for Snowstep, it was impossible to find with the gathering of cats. With no such luck, she sighed and headed back to camp with a bunch of older warriors. I'll have to look for her later then.
