Smokepaw slowly made his way through the dense forest, feeling the presence of Pondpaw walking beside him. It was still dark, but the half moon shone white in the black sky, giving everything a tint of silverish glow.
The dark tom took his steps quietly yet purposefully, eager to get to the meeting place. His pelt blended almost perfectly in the shadows, except a soft silver outline that showed he was there. his body moved smoothly as his paws barely skidded the hard, frozen ground, and not a sound was made.
Smokepaw slowed down as they came to a clearing coated with frost that shined under the white moon. There were no other cats except him and the silver she-cat standing beside him, and though the dark shadows looked manancing, it felt like StarClan was looking down on them.
"it...looks like we're early." Smokepaw glanced over at Pondpaw for a moment before shifting his eyes. Her eyes are like pools of light.

IC: Pondpaw followed Smokepaw slowly. Her energy now gone, as her paw steps carried her to the Great Oak. It towered over her, even from a distance, and seemed to watch her. Pondpaw's emerald eyes looked up, and up, and up, and up, as they crawled up the side of the tree. The moon was large, and she found herself looking at it. The hight of the Great Oak tree almost made her fall off of her paws. It made Pondpaw's mind spin, and the ground rumble under her. Sharp claws dug into the ground, to keep her up. Smokepaw meowed something softly, and his words made Pondpaw look down at the area before her, and not at the oak tree. "Are you sure they are going to be here?" Pondpaw asked, slightly questioning why she came.

Smokepaw was silent for a moment, and scanned his surroundings. "They have to be." although his answer was firm, inside he was trying to convince himself of the same thing. Then he hesitated for a little, before looking over at Pondpaw again. "...If... you don't want to be here I won't mind if you go back." Actually, he DID mind. He didn't want her to leave, yet he was hiding that emotion to both her and himself. Why were all these strange feelings swirling around inside of him? He's never had this much trouble keeping himself emotionless, until now. Until today. Until he met her. "Go play with the other kits." It was his mother, who just entered the nursery to find Smokekit all alone, lying there with his eyes watching the acitivities outside. "No." "Smokekit!" she gasped at her only kit's attitude towards her. "Don't talk like that! Go out and play like a normal kit!" "No." Smokekit's eyes turned to glare at his mother. The beautiful black she-cat who never actually cared for him, despite him being the only surviving one in the litter. She had tried to forgive her time after time when she left him all alone to spend time alone with his father and doing warrior jobs. But he won't try anymore; she always let him down. He couldn't remember once that his mother actually kept a promise and watched him with pride gleaming in her pretty blue eyes. "Fine. Do what you want. You don't need a mother now, do you? That's fine with me. Your father and I are having another litter in a few moons now anyways." she smiled to herself, proud of her growing belly. "Your soon to be siblings are going to be more worth having than you, so don't give them any bad influence." she hissed before leaving him once again, alone in the dark nursery. Smokepaw has alway kept his feelings inside of him. Even when he was a kit, and of course, never shed a tear. He hid from reality by thinking to himself that nothing mattered in life anyways. That the clan was his all and that one day he would die saving WaterClan, and then at least some cats would care more. Though it would be too late. And maybe they would be sad for him, and notice how all this time they've been selfish enough to not notice him, ever. He would be known as the misunderstood hero. But now... why were all his fantasies coming apart? Why did he suddenly find all his lost emotions, and all of them are drumming against his chest, trying to get out? Why did he want to tear down the shield he's been building up all these moons, and let out his true feelings? Why did he change, after so long, now? Why...?

OOC: I LOOOOVE that post! Can I give you a karma??? *gives Puss in Boots eyes* IC: Pondpaw let her emerald eyes slowly rise to the sky. The stars looked closer, and not a one did not twinkle. They were beautiful."...If... you don't want to be here I won't mind if you go back." Pondpaw ripped her emerald eyes from the stars, and turned them on Smokepaw. It wouldn't be surprising if a hole was left in the sky. The silver-blue she-cat felt her heart race, as for once in her life, she saw.....emotion? Was she seeing things? No, there had been a flicker of emotion in Smokepaw's eyes. Not a soul in the forest has ever seen any emotion in this dark gray tom's face before. She could easily remember how other kits would laugh and joke that Smokepaw was made out of stone, because his face never changed. But Smokepaw didn't look like himself. His dark gray fur, was tinted silver, and his whiskers shined like small, thin, stars. His dark blue eyes looked more like the blue from a morning sky, than the color of the sky when there was a setting sun. It seemed a small star was being reflected off of them. "You...." Pondpaw meowed bitterly, feeling her fur rise. But then a flicker of confusion crossed her mind. Why am I mad? Her mind questioned, as Pondpaw softened her voice. "....don't you remember what I said? I'm not letting you have all the fun!" Pondpaw felt more relaxed, as she noticed her voice was at its normal level. Her silver tinted paws moved on their own, and Pondpaw had to catch herself from what she was about to do. Her paws almost made her rub up against Smokepaw, to show how much they were friends. But her mind reminded her, how that was okay with kin, and not with other cats. Especially not of the other gender. So Pondpaw quickly placed her tail tip on his shoulder in stead. "It just seems odd that they aren't here..." Pondpaw meowed quietly, as she took another glance around.

OOC: SOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IC: Acornpaw padded slowly, slower than usual as she crepted out of camp to the forest. She stopped suddenly and sat, not knowing what to do. She wanted to scream out her heart! Why was StarClan doing this to her? WHy did they choose her when she had lacked of confidence on everything? Why her? WHy her? What if this wasn't a dream at all? Just a dream that was sent to her by mistake? Why did StarClan send her to a place where she had to handle all this by herself? Walking out in the woods alone, to meet other clan cats? Worst of all what would she do if the patrols caught her? She could never explain the dream to them. Who would trust you? She hissed to herself bitterly. Nowadays, she seemed to get angry at herself with everything. Nothing in the world seemed to exist with her presence anymore. She wanted to give up on everything, she wanted to cry and she wanted to go back to her warm and conforting den, where she could curl up in a ball and hear nothing but herself. Just as she was ready to burst into tears, she remember the day where she swore an owe to herself. She was never going to be a weakling anymore. She could not, NEVER let anybody look down on her. Fighting back her tears, she got up, took a deep breath and padded silently towards her destination. After some awful thinking, she realized that the Giant Oak appeared in front of her. She hid under some bushes and she did not see anybody nearby, (at least to her) and she started to feel uneasy. Who will she meet? Warriors? What would happen if they didn't even believe the message that StarClan sent? Would they laugh at her and tell her that she was soo gulible? Was it possible? A thousand more questions shot out of her mind like a firing bullet. As she was about to take another step forward, she could hear a she-cat's voice ahead. She started to panic, she wanted to run away now. Who is going to help me?!?!?! She wailed out loud in her heart. Who? That owe popped up in her head, but she ignored it. No matter how much confident she had, it no longer worked anymore. Turn back, turn back. A voice appeared in her head. She nodded, she couldn't do this anymore, it was too much for her. Her tears came gushing out, and she couldn't stop it anymore. I'm sorry StarClan, but please choose someone else but me. I do not deserve this kind of destination that has laid upon me. She turned around and ran back to camp, to her only warming and comforting den..... OOC: I believe this is my longest post!

OOC: No defending yourself! You get a karma point!!! ;D IC: As Pondpaw waited to see if Smokepaw going to say anything, a noise came. It sounded like dry leafs being crushed, and a bush rustling. Pondpaw whipped her silver-blue head around, and scanned the area in front of them. "Hello?" the young apprentice asked, her emerald eyes large and alert. Was this one of the cats that got the same dream as Smokepaw? I wonder what clan this one has come from....Pondpaw asked herself, as she slowly padded forward, in the direction the thought she heard the sound. "Hello, are you one of those cats that are supposed to meet here?" Her voice was sweet and gentle. There was a sudden flash of fur, and Pondpaw couldn't help but jump. Her fur on end now. "Wait!" She called out again, before chasing after the image fur, that raced farther and farther away. Pondpaw totally forgot about Smokepaw, until it was too late, and she was already far away, and on the hunt for this cat.OOC: Watch out Acornpaw! Pondpaw doesn't like giving up.

OOC: THis is getting interesting now. IC: Acornpaw kepted on running, she heard a voice earlier. Was it talking to her? It sounded like a blur to her. She could hear someone chasing after her. Was it the she-cat that she heard earlier? NO! She didn't want to know. She didn't even NEED to know. No matter what had happened earlier, she was NOT going back. Luckily, she had a good endurance, speeding up now, she had made a lot of noises, crushing against the bushes and branches with each pawstep.

OOC: I wonder what Smokepaw is thinking right now....
IC: Pondpaw was certain now. Their was a cat running away. She could easily hear it as it crashed threw the dried leaves, and tore threw bushes. Now Pondpaw meant business. The silver-blue she-cat apprentice flattened her ears on her skull, and widened her jumps. Her long tail lowered, and stretched out behind her. Pondpaw's emerald eyes became half closed, and her pupils became slits.
The forest seemed to race by, as Pondpaw tore threw it. Bushes trembled, and leaf or two flew into the air. The wind seemed to become her. Pondpaw had always been known to be stubborn. If you would ask any cat, you would find out, that she didn't like giving up. The only thing that could, and would stop her, is if she was tired, or some other cat stopped her from doing what ever she was so persistent to do.
As Pondpaw kept this pace for a long wile, the image of a small cat in the distance was seen threw the tall grass and occasional bush. Her long silver-blue legs pounded on the ground, and were almost caught by a root that was ticking out of the ground. Which oddly reminded her of a past time. (I think only Snowstep would understand that part. ^^) But she had no time to think about her past. Her mind focused on the pounding of her paws on the hard, cold, ground.
Soon, the time came, that Pondpaw was very close to this cat. Weather this cat noticed it or not. "I said, wait!" Pondpaw meowed, trying to keep it soft, threw her quivering breath. The force of her paws hitting the ground, made her voice shake.

OOC: Me too!
IC: Acornpaw could feel the she-cat slowly approaching to her. She was soo close to her. Is she catching up or am I slowing down? It must be you! A voice hissed in her head. She was getting angry now. A mix of emotions spread through her. She was soo afraid yet she was angry. "NO!" Acornpaw replied firmly. She was about to burst into tears again. "I can't." Her paws stopped. Why am I stopping? She tried running again but her paw wouldn't budge. They were like stones now. What is happening to me? She wailed. She looked down at her paws, she couldn't bear to face the she-cat. Is she going to laugh at me now? Realizing how hopeless and stubborn I am? Her tears came pouring down now. "I can't" she whispered hoarsly, "I can't...... This is too hard for me. I can't take this task. I can't. I'll be a burden to everyone." She didn't want her pity from this cat espically her comfort. You're always leaving a burden for somebody, you useless cat, she hissed to herself!

IC: Pondpaw slowed when the cat suddenly stopped. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and her breath was coming in gasps. Pondpaw finally got a chance to focus on this cat, and she just now noticed that it was a she-cat. And a apprentice too. As the silver-blue she-cat took a break, the other apprentice meowed something. It was almost the same words, but they had the same meaning. "You can't what?" Pondpaw asked between gasps, as her breath and heart began to slow. "Who are you, and what do you mean you will be a burden to everyone?" Then Pondpaw stopped. Her emerald eyes focused on this strange cat, "You are one of the cats that are supposed to meet us! What clan are you from?" The silver tinted she-cat was her normal energetic self again. Her emerald eyes brightened, and she completely forgot about the fact that she had left Smokepaw behind, and that this was a cat from another clan.

Acornpaw stopped crying and dried up her tears. She was getting fustrated now and annoyance crossed her face. Why did she have to be annoying? "I don't want to and I don't intend to anymore and as for the other question, that is meaningless to you." she snapped rudely to the she-cat. Of course she wouldn't understand, nobody did, except for herself. They didn't understand and they will never understand the pain the surrounds within her. She caught herself off guard with surprise. Since when where you like this? A voice appeared. What happened to your calm and old self? Why have you been like this? WHY? It was screaming in her head as if it demanded an explanation. The pain was too painful to handle. It even hurted her belly. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She could sense the other she-cat looking at her with curiousity. Focus Acornpaw. Focus! She hissed. After a while of some calmness, spreading through her body, she felt light again, and felt that she owed the she-cat an explanation. At least, she had someone to talk to. "Sorry about that, I just had some things going on through my mind." She looked down and blushed from embarrassment. "I'm Acornpaw by the way from.............. EarthClan." she replied hesitantly. Was she a trustful cat?

OOC: I wonder what is up with Snowstep...... IC: Pondpaw reluctantly listened to what this cat had to say, even though its bitter words were hard to swallow. But thank Starclan, that Pondpaw was not used to that. Ever sense Smokepaw and she became friends, and started to go on patrols together and things like that, Pondpaw was able to get used to sharp tongued cats. And because of their friendship, Smokepaw has seemed to become more mellow, and has rarely uses the sharp part of his tongue. Soon their was a long pause, and then the cat finally spoke soft, and revealed her name. Acornpaw. It was a cute name.
Pondpaw's eyes looked up from her paws, when Acornpaw stopped, and apologized. This Earthclan cat was kind of cute. She seemed like the type of spunky she-cat, that didn't take nothing from no one. But that was just at first glance. The silver-blue she-cat crouched down playfully, and looked up at Acornpaw's lowered face. "Well, nice to meet you, Acornpaw of Earthclan! I'm Pondpaw, of Waterclan!" Pondpaw's emerald eyes flashed playfully, as she looked up at the other she-cat. "My friend's name is Smokepaw. I think we kind of ran off without him." Pondpaw giggled softly, as she got on her back, and continued to look up at Acornpaw. "But he is the one that had the dream. I just stuck to his fur, until he finally told me what was going on. So that is how I'm here." The silver tinted she-cat apprentice meowed joyfully.
It slightly seemed strange, that Pondpaw would be so open to another cat. Especially a cat from another clan. But that was Pondpaw. She never missed a chance to make friends. But before Smokepaw, Pondpaw was easily hurt at harsh words. Which makes you wonder, how she got to be friends with such a emotionless cat like him. Well, Pondpaw will have to get back to you on that one. She is still trying to figure it out herself.

OOC: once again, im SOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry! *dies* me no liky school. et me is dead from being bad at english. X.x" btw i'll LOVE that reputation! lol hah im being too happy! it was VERY Interesting to read all those posts! =P *nodds with approval* very good! *gives both ppl reps*
IC: The chase took Smokepaw by surprise. He hadn't quite noticed another cat run off until Pondpaw took off like a shooting star. A shooting star... his mind repeated, like those words had some other meaning in its depth. He stood there a while, wondering if he should follow or wait for the other cats that were supposed to come tonight. His ears perked as he listened hard, and scented the air from the direction of each of the other clans. Nope, nothing.
And...he took off after the two. The scents were fresh, and Pondpaw's was so familiar that he felt himself smoothly following it without hesistation. Then there was the scent of the other cat. Also familiar... somewhere deep in his memory he knew that scent from somewhere. His powerful legs and shoulders made it possible for him to speed through the trees and bushes without much trouble, and barely a sound was heard except for the swoosh of wind after he has passed the grass, bushes, or leaves. in darkness like this it just seemed like nothing pass by except a light breeze.
Before he got to where the two apprentices were, he slowed to a stop and watched from behind some brambles. that's when the scent and name came together.. Acornpaw...

Acornpaw nodded, she didn't feel like speaking anymore. She was too tired and fustruated to figure things out. Better be quiet then talk back she thought. As Pondpaw mentioned Smokepaw's name, she was in surprise mode and in total shock. Smokepaw? The one she met in the gathering with? It must be him she thought, there is no other Smokepaw around here. Another emotion struck through her. She couldn't quite figure out what it was. It just didn't feel right. It's nothing she thought. Nothing. Shaking of the thought off, she went back to reality. The silence was bothering her now, for some strange reason. She never felt this kind of emotion before. She was always used to the silence when surrounded by other people. Espically when she was not included. A quick question popped up to her mind, something that was also bothering her from the beginning. She hesitated, then spoke, looking up at Pondpaw "um...do you know who else is coming?" she asked nervously, padding her paws on the gravel. Just as she was about to look down again, she thought she could see a flicker of movement betweenf the corners of her eye. Was someone watching them or was she thinking too much?

OOC: You are so funny, Snowstep! XD
IC: Pondpaw shook her head sadly at Acornpaw's question. "I'm sorry, but you would have to ask Smokepaw. He had the dream." Her emerald eyes took a quick glance around, as she slim she-cat got to her paws. Come on, Smokepaw! You aren't that slow! Pondpaw meowed in her mind, as she flicked her tail in the air. The air in this area seemed dark, and uninviting. It was deadly silent, and Pondpaw just noticed that no birds chirped. But only a few snapping twigs to the right, and some scuffling in front of her. A rabbit jumped lazily out of the undergrowth, and began to groom its long, floppy, ears. "Wait here....." Pondpaw purred softly, before tearing off after the rabbit. the only thing that was left behind, were some leaves that had been scattered by her speed.
OOC: Sorry for the short post. Have to go to my dad's soon, and I don't have much creativity right now. Plus, I have a feeling Smokepaw and Acornpaw have some catching up to do or something..... >_>'

OOC: niiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! lol aw thanks Pikeru! =P i've always thought i was boring. X.x" and dont worry. im probably going through a writer's block right now too. =S AND i did a 4 lap run today, and for some reason my arm hurts. XP
IC: Smokepaw watched as Pondpaw sped past the brambles where he hid, after a lazy rabbit that was obviously not her match. What is she up to now? he thought to himself and shook his head, but his eyes revealed interest as the leaves fluttered when Pondpaw passed. The dark tom sat there for a while, wondering what to do: to wait and watch, or to take Acornpaw to go back to the Giant Oak. Then he looked up, through the brambles and saw Acornpaw simply waiting there, not knowing what to do like himself.
Picking himself up, he stepped out of his hiding place and padded to Acornpaw. she hadn't changed much since he last saw her 2 moons ago, but was... well, more grown? yeah, he himself was too, and his training made his fur sleek and his body lean and strong. in a few moons, he would probably become a warrior... "uh, hey," he mumbled and stood in front of the smaller she-cat. well this is awkward. maybe i should have stayed in those brambles.

"Wai--" She replied, but Pondpaw was gone. Acornpaw slouched back, and made herself comfortable on the cold gravel. It wasn't as inviting but she could live with it. She rested her chin against her paws and sighed. She was about to tell Pondpaw that she was going back to camp, but she ran away in full speed that she wasn't able to listen to the rest of her words. Now she had to wait for her until she got back. My life is getting miserable every second, she thought. Too concern in her thought, she couldn't hear a cat approaching up to her. As she look forward, she could see the paws of a cat standing if front of her. She jerked her head forward and gasped. Then she backed up. She was surprised to see Smokepaw, standing right in front of her. "What are you doing here?" she asked. What are you talking about? A mind murmmured in her head. He's here for the gathering. Acornpaw looked up sheeplessly at him. "Never mind" she mumbled. "Um....hi"

"uh, let's go... find Pondpaw." he meowed and averted his eyes, turning to follow Pondpaw's scent. he didn't know that Acornpaw wanted to go back to camp, but he didn't give her time to tell him that before he was leading her back towards the Giant Oak. (let's just pretend there's no gathering yet) His shoulder blades moved along smoothly as he padded with his head low to scent Pondpaw, and he glanced back to check that Acornpaw was following. (LOL I LOVE the scene of the smooth movements of the cats shoulders as they walk!)
