Burningstar sniffed the air as he led the FireClan warriors to the Giant Oak.
No other clan was here yet.
Waving his tail, he led the cats down to the large clearing, and waited for the other clans to arrive. He watched from the roots of the tree as the warriors sat around, chatting with each other.

starpaw gazed in wonder at the giant tree. it was his first time at a gathering. he wondered if there were any other apprentice around.
opalpool just arrived. she sat in the clearing and watched some cats gossip about things. she wondered wut the leaders r going to say today.

Burningstar watched as two of the other clans arrived. He waited still, for the moon to be overhead.
Emberfrost came and sat down near the edge of the clearing, where he watched. He didn't see Starlight come, so he didn't bother doing anything much. He twitched his tail and waited.
Snowstep saw Emberfrost stalk off away from the other cats. She wanted to follow him but decided to share the news of other clans. She wandered over to a small group of cats and listened. She wondered if her clan leader was going to announce Rascal joining SkyClan.
Brightstream sat sulking beside some warriors she didn't know. She didn't bothering speaking at all; she had no business here. She forced smiles as cats smiled at her, but her smiles quickly faded when she was alone again.

Burningstar looked up at the moon. It was past moonhigh now and clouds were gathering over it. Looked like rain clouds too. He guessed this gathering had to end before it started...
He jumped onto a strong branch of the Giant Oak and mewed loudly over the cats voices. "Cats of the clans who made it here: Clouds are gathering and I think it's best is we go back to our camps." He looked around. "The moon is setting soon and most other leaders aren't here yet. This gathering is over." He yowled, then jumped down from the branch and led his cats quickly back to camp, hoping it wouldn't rain before they got back.
All the cats left the clearing and started back to their camps. Just when all the cats left, rain suddenly poured down, soaking everything exposed to it.
There was a flash, then thunder sounded.
This was an unusual gathering; the rain splashed loudly, and no cats were in sight.

IC: "Burningstar!" Wolfstar shouted. "I'm am sorry I am late, I had a meet with the...nevermind. I don't think Lightning Clan is coming, I heard their leader is getting her nine lifes tonight."

Seeing the heavy rain, Spottednose felt very uncomfortable with the weather. How is this possible? What bad timing!
