Fuzepaw padded back into the camp. He had just humiliated himself to his leader. He hung his head, sad to be hear. He wasnt need, or wanted it seemed. He was just a blind cat . . . and soon the others would figure that out. When they did, would they send him straight to the elders den? Just like Waterclan almost did? He shook his head. He was alone in this world. Toxicpaw was in a different clan, and Wolfstorm was also. He hadnt seen her in forever. He stalked into the shadows, hoping to hide from others. He just wanted to crawl in a hole a die. Curse those stupid twolegs! I hate what they did to me! *sighs* Will i ever feel accepted?

Runningstripe bounded into the camp, bumping into a smaller cat than he. He sniffed. "Fuzepaw? Is that you?" His blind eyes darted around suspiciously. "Are you okay?"

IC: Fuzepaw stumbled down, not knowing a cat was there. He shook his head. He glared at empty darkness in front of him. He parted his jaws slightly to see who the scent was. "Run . . . Runningstripe?" he checked caustiously

"You have eyes haven't you?" said Runningstripe cheerfully, the morning mist settling on his dark pelt. "Of course it's me!" He circled the fresh kill pile, nosing through it trying to find a good mouse. He flicked the apprentice's shoulder with his tail lightly. "What have you been up to lately? You are not in the camp much," he noted, turning to were he thought the apprentice was. Her stared blankly into the vast darkness ahead of him, waiting for the younger cat's reply.

Fuzepaws fur pricked lightly. "Ye-yes i have eyes!" he snaps softly He sighs, and sits down, hoping he was facing Runningstripe. The world in front of him was dark, very dark. "I . . . im just always busy, thats all . . ." he mumbles softly He turned his head away. Wolfstorm . . . Toxicpaw . . . *sighs* "Im just waiting to become a warrior . . ." he adds a little irritated

Runningstripe chuckled goodnaturedly. "I was impatient too. It took a little longer, the clan didn't see me as who I really was, and that blindness doesn't hold anyone back, i just makes them smarter with their other senses." He smiled, his sighless eyes slipping past Fuzepaw.

Fuzepaw froze at the words. He felt his blood drain, then burst into raging flames. "You----youre blind?" he whispers Never had he met another cat that was blind AND a warrior! "Did it take forever cause your blind?" he adds in softer His interest was sparked now with new hope.

Runningstripe chuckled loudly. "Not forever, but a little longer than the other apprentices that trained with me. Like Sunwhisker. It's not that difficult loosing one sense. You still have four more!" He smiled. Fuzepaw seemed as if he didn't know that he was blind... he blinked in confusion.

Fuzepaw just nodded slowly. "I guess." He was trying his hardest not to give away that he was blind as well. But how can i not?! Theres another cat, a WARRIOR, blind cat! Hes a warrior! Even more hope sparked in Fuzepaw. "Whats it like?! Beinging a warrior?!"

"Fun." Runningstripe smiled. "But some cats would beg to differ. They enjoyed their apprentice life. But you feel very important. Even when your blind. But it's different for every cat I guess." Fuzepaw has a lot of questions... Runningstripe thought, Is something bothering him? "Is there something... you wish to tell me, Fuzepaw?" He asked quietly, his voice serious. He didn't want to butt in on his private life... Runningstipe looked down at what he thought was his paws.

Runningstripe knew the apprentice was hiding something. I'll get it out of him sooner or later... he thought. He heaved a sigh. "Allright," he meowed, "Just checking. You just seemed distracted. And yes, blind cats can tell when that happens." He looked down at his paws. He was perfectly happy with his life, but he did wish he could see Fuzepaw's face. "Fuzepaw?" he asked quietly, "What are colors? What's green? And blue? I'd love to imagine it." His voice was rich with longing.

OOC: ^^ dont worry, he wasnt born blind. All the tests that happened to him made him blind, so he somewhat knows a few things. ^^;
IC: Fuzepaw took in a sharp breath, then let it out slowly. "Well, im not sure i know how to explain them very well. Lets see . . ." He had to think very closely, trying to remember the colors in his faint memory. He couldnt remember something so well. "Um . . . colors are things that definate the world. They somewhat add . . . feeling to the word. Makes things seem brighter or darker. But, im not so sure i can really explain a color to you. Because im . . ." Maybe its time? He was at a lost for words. "Im . . . blind as . . . well . . ." He hung his head ashamed for not telling anyone before.

Runningstripe took a step back in surprise. "W-what?" he stammered. Shock ran through his pelt as he realized what the apprentice had said. Anger washed over him. "You're blind? Why didn't you tell anyone? You could've been training the wrong way this whole time!" He looked down at his paws, suddenly feeling sorry. "Were you afraid they would put you in the elder's den? That your clan wouldn't accept you?" he said quietly.

Fuzepaw turned his head away ashamed. "Im sorry. I was afraid. Yes. Thats exactly what happened to me in Waterclan. Right when they found out i was blind when i was made into an apprentice, i was imiediate Elder. I hated it. Toxicpaw, my older sister, would tell me the stories of being an apprentice." Tears started to shine his eyes as he started to cry. "I couldnt take it any more. I finally left, but i didnt want to leave Toxicpaw completely. Then, a Lightningclan patrol found me, taking me in. I vowed to never tell any i was blind and to give all the cold shoulder. I wouldnt let any into my heart every, hopefully." The tears fell now. He callapsed to the ground, unable to fight the tears.

Runningstripe wrapped a tail around Fuzepaw's shoulders and murmured gently to him, "LightningClan will understand if you decide to tell them, but I swear, I won't tell anyone if you don't want me to." He looked sypmathetically at the younger cat and it seemed as if he was staring into himself, into his past, even if he couldn't see anything. He remembered how scared he had been as a kit, afraid they were going to make him an elder. Fuzepaw of course, has lead a harder life. Leaving his clan and his sister must have been horrible. He couldn't have imagined leaving Sunwhisker. "Did you know there is a special way to train blind cats? It's more efficient than regular warrior training. I've won plenty of battles." He smiled, trying to comfort him, though he knew he couldn't see him. Hopefully he could sense it.
