scarkit the loner cat

I have this plot I want for scarkit.
I haven't got it thought out all the way but basicly after he becomes an apprentice he starts dissapearing from time to time. He was this wierd way of thinking. He wants to be free, to not feel the ties of a clan. To only have to worry about himself. he loves his clan, but wants to live freely alone.And so after a while he's gona dissapear for a time.
But he's gonna come back because he'll miss his two friends glosskit and lightkit.
thats about all i got so far, but i'll add more when i think of some and any ideas are welcome.

how about throughout the disappearings, Lightpaw gets really worried, and feels the pain of losing someone precious to her for the first time in her life? deep huh? ;3

or another little bit: she follows scarpaw to wherever he was going, and since scarpaw obviously wanted to be free, he gets annoyed at lightpaw. so lightpaw gets really sad and hurt and runs away? how's that? =D
