Nightpelt and Frostpool walked into the camp and dropped their freshkill on the pile. The medicen cat walked into her den while the warrior sat down in the camp and began to groom herself. She hid it well, but she longed for a cat to love her, like Goldeneye loved Ashstreak. She sighed and tucked her noes in the curve made by her tail.

OOC: Sorry for the long wait. I'm guessing Snowstep has too much homework. I guess I could just accept myself, but my stupid move and lock buttons won't show up!!!! ARG!!!!!
IC: Brightstone happily padded threw the camp. Two skinny mice swayed in his jaws, as he made his way to the fresh kill pile. The brightly colored tom had to make a detour, becasue a small apprentice asked him for one of the mice, so now he has only two. His hunting had gone well, but the prey was thin and boney because of the cold leaf-bare, that was now nipping at the clan's noses.
Brightstone's sky blue eyes were only closed happily, as he walked threw a shadowed area. But something was suddenly before one of his outstretched paw. His leg twisted, and the rest came out from under him. Sky blue eyes opened wide, as the ground came up to meet him. "I'm so sorry!" Brightstone cried, whipping his head around, with only one mouse now in his jaws. The other had flown somewhere else. "Are you okay? It was my fault, I should have seen you in the shadow. Are you hungry? Here, take this." Brightstone meowed quickly, not wanting to be yelled at by the cat, who he now saw as a she-cat. The bright yellow tom pushed his last mouse to the she-cat, as he flashed begging sky blue eyes to her.
He had never like angering anyone. Nor did he like being yelled at by them. That is why Brightstone usually goes out of his way, to make up for it. His light orange striped yellow tail rapped quickly around his orange striped ankles. Brightstone was also a odd colored cat. He had bright yellow, almost white, fur. His ankles, tail, and forehead had light orange stripes. Such a odd combination.

Nightpelt suddenly looked up when somecat tripped over her. "I-It's okay." She stuttered, standing. "Keep it." She said, pushing the mouse back over to him. "It's yours."

IC: Brightstone was actually surprised that the she-cat before him didn't start yelling. This was odd. Normally, he would be backed up into a corner or something, and being yelled at by three different cats. "So, why are you all alone here? You don't look happy." Brightstone questioned, as he flicked the mouse into the fresh-kill pile, and took a quick glance around, to see if he could find that other mouse that had gone somewhere when he had tripped.

"Looks can be decieving." Nightpelt lied, picking up the mouse Brightstone was looking for. She pushed it over, mewing, "I'm fine, really." Frostpool peered out of the medicine cat's den and smiled, seeing that Nightpelt was talking to a potential mate.

IC: "Oh..." Brightstone meowed blankly, as he let his ears fold back slightly, and eyes look away. The brightly colored tom couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed. But why? Maybe it was because if this she-cat wasn't angry or depressed, then she was always like this. What now? Brightstone was tempted to leave, but he didn't have anything to do the rest of the day. The bright yellow tom had done all he needed to, and more. "So...." Brightstone meowed, but pause briefly to think of what he could say, "What is your name? Mine is Brightstone, but I’m guessing you already know that." The yellow tom's misty blue eyes wondered around now, as he tried to ignore the mouse that she had found, and pushed to him, and the occasional glances that cats gave them. Their eyes were filled with....what? Joy? Must be, but for who? Is it because finally someone was talking to this she-cat? Maybe. Brightstone couldn't help but catch the gaze of the medicine cat. Did I do something? Brightstone wondered, as he looked back at the darkly colored she-cat, and waited for her reply.

"I'm Nightpelt." The black she-cat meowed softly, looking into the tom's eyes for the first time. As she held his gaze, a cool shivver shot through her fur. She quickly broke her gaze and looked forwards. Great Starclan! she thought. Where did that come from?! She looked towards the medicine cat's den and caught Frostpool peering at her. She bared her teeth slightly and the small white head disapeered with a small giggle.

"It fits you. Oh! Not in attitude! You seem very nice! Unless you want to be mean...I should stop talking now..." Brightstone closed his jaws quickly, when he saw the she-cat look away, and bare her teeth at something. Following her gave, Brightstone's misty blue eyes fell on the medicine cat agian, but he only got to see the she-cat's tail disappear into her den. Odd. The bright yellow Lightningclan tom looked back at Nightpelt. She had dark fur, or, that is what it looked like. And....some colored eyes....the color was hard to tell, because of the sun to his right, and the shadows that hung over the she-cat. In fact, everything about her was hard to see. Brightstone could only see the furry outline of the she-cat. The Lightningclan tom gave a soft sigh, as he tried to picture the she-cat coming out into the sun, so he could get a better look at her. But, it was up to Nightpelt. She was the one in the shadows. She could stay in there if she wanted.

Nightpelt smiled softly at Brightstone's obvious nervosness. "You don't have to stop." She said softly. "I know most cats think I'm too reclusive..." She stopped and slowly stood up. She stepped out of the shadows and let the sun hit her pelt at full force.

Nightpelt spoke softly, but then stopped. Brightstone shot open his eyes, as there was a soft scuffling infront of him, after Nightpelt's voice. It seemed like the dark colored she-cat had read his mind. As the sun's rays swept over the she-cat, Brightstone was able to see her clearly. Nightpelt had a smooth looking jet black pelt, and surprising amber eyes. Her left paw had a odd bit of white, and so did the tips of her ears. Her fur was short, and yes, sleek. Her figure was a medium size, with a sturdy build. Her paws seemed large, but that was not what Brightstone was looking at. His misty blue eyes were locked on her amber ones. "Well....I just met you, so I'm open to know how you REALLY are." Brightstone spoke these words confidently, even though he felt very shy after they were spoken. He was reaching out a paw for friendship, and maybe for her to be a friend that he could go on patrols and hunts with. But it was true. He had just noticed her, and his mind was open to how she really was. Not just what other people suggest she is.

Nightpelt stared at his paw, then put hers on it. She looked up into his misty blue eyes, smiling slightly. "Its very easy to find out how I really am, even if you just met me."

OOC: Any ideas for a plot? I'm to angry at my dad's slow computer to think right now.....*shakes computer to try to stop it from freezing* IC: Brightstone felt a rush of heat surge threw his body, when Nightpelt put her paw on his. The bright yellow tom slowly took back his own paw, and placed it gently on his orange striped tail, to stop its twitching. "Do....you.....want to go hunting with me? I just remembered that some apprentices wanted me to help them out with getting prey for the elders." Brightstone paused, so he could calm swallow a large lump in his throat. The young warrior had never really asked someone to come with him on anything. That was normally because he usually didn't want to trouble anyone with it. "You don't have to come. I just was thinking that two warriors would catch more prey then what one would." Brightstone let go of his tail, thinking its nervous twitching was gone, but quickly placed it back, when he noticed that it was now twitching more then ever.

Nightpelt smiled warmy. "Yes, I would like that." she meowed softly, standing.

IC: "Great!" Brightstone purred, before sort of hopping up from his sitting position, "Now or later?" The light yellow tom asked, turning his head slightly to the right.
OOC: Short.....yes..... >_<"

"Now would be okay with me." Nightpelt said, her tail waving slowly. "Unless that won't work..."

IC: Brightstone gave a great grin as he purred, "Oh, now is fine! Where to? I'm sure the elders won't mind if I let you pick were to hunt." The tom allowed his misty blue eyes flick up to the sky. The sun was still up, for it made his eyes squint slightly. They had plenty of time to hunt.

"Um..." Nightpelt started, staring out towards the forest. "I'm not sure......you can pick." She glanced at the sky. There was still lots of time left to hunt, lots of time to spend with Brightstone...Wait! Why was she thinking like that?

Brightstone gave a small nod, before closing his eyes. So many places to pick from! "Maybe....The Thunder Hole? Not many cats go there, so there must be prey busting out of every bush!"

Nightpelt smiled. "The Thunderhole it is then." She meowed, smiling.
