Berrydapple stalked along the ground. hunting wasnt her speciality but she was pretty good. her spotted golden pelt blended in to the forest floor well. the mouse suddenly stopped nibbling its seed and looked up. the small furry thing scurried away and into a hole before she could pounce. she cursed, she had almost had it that time. 'i wonder if Dust is out, waiting for Star. maybe i will visit him soon. i dont have to snaek out now, unlike the last time when i was an apprentice.' she thought. ' why doesnt my clan like me??? its not my fault i was a rogue but i have been a loyal warrior. why do they avvoid me?' she scented the air for more prey, hoping to have something to bring back to camp.

Moonlitpaw was nosing angrily around the Flame Tree when she saw Berrydapple. Sighing, Moonlitpaw walked up to the warrior. "Hello," she mewed sadly. "Whatcha doing?" Moonlitpaw looked at Berrydapple, her amber eyes dull with anger and sadness. WHY, at 14 moons, wasn't she a warrior yet? WHAT did Burningstar think, or had Burningstar just forgotten?

"hey Moonlitpaw....... I'm alright, i guess. im just trying to find some prey around here." she meowed dejectedly. 'oh, Dust when will i see you again?' she thought. Berrydapple missed her brother so much. " do you want to hunt with me? if we come back with enough prey, i can put a good word in with Burningstar for you. youre definetly old and skilled enough to be a warrior. you are actually older than me, moonlitpaw" poor apprentice, Burningstar needs to look past his own whiskers for once. Berrydapple was very sorry for the other shecat.... 'oh who am i kidding, with me around we wont catch anything. im not a good hunter and never will be. thats probably why my parents gave me up, they must have seen how useless i was.

"Sure, let's hunt." Moonlitpaw mewed. She got to her paws, then froze, swiveling her ears around. Suddenly, she leaped on a pile of leaves, and brought out two fat mice. "I love greenleaf."

" so do i, the warm breeze feels good on my fur" Berrydapple smiled at the other cat. " i wish i could hunt as well as you, im not very good." she looked to the bushes as she heard a twig crack. 'was there another cat there?' she couldnt tell, the wind was blowing her scent towards the bushes. "did you hear something, Moonlitpaw?"
Near the big red and orange tree, Dust sat crouched in the bushes. he had hoped his sister would be alone, the other cat probly wwould try to chase him off if he revealed himself. ' oh, no she heard me! i think she is a warrior, her name changed. 'i wish star was here...'

Moonlitpaw purred. "Firemist has taught me well." She froze. "Yeah, another cat," she hissed in an undertone. Then she relaxed. "It's just a kittypet."

Dust stepped out of the bushes as the larger cat said that it was a kittypet who was here. " when you hadnt come for a while... i came to look for you Berry... what is your name now anyway?" he looked around fearfully.
" i am now called Berrydapple, my brother. " Berrydapple looked to Moonlitpaw. the young cat looked confused, so she clarified " this kittypet, his name is Dust. he is my brother, from a younger litter. all my other siblings have perished and Dust doesnt have any brothers or sisters from the same litter." she paused and looked at Moonlitpaw to make sure the older cat understood.
OOC: kinda confusing myself here..... =^..^=

Moonlitpaw rolled her eyes slightly. "All my family is dead, so what do I care? Just get on with your little reunion, so we can hunt more. I won't tell Burningstar, it isn't like he has been very gracious to me recently."

"Dust, you had better go. i dont want any other cat to see you here. thank you for not mentioning anything to Burningstar." she found that Moonlitpaw was a bit like her mother had been. " yeah, Dust is my only family". Berrydapple was eager to hunt and wanted to get Dust out of here, now.
Dust darted forward to rub his cheek against Berrydapple's flank. "alright, i will go. bye Berry" and he padded back in the direction that he had come from.
Berrydapple watched as her brother walked away. "alright Moonlitpaw lets hunt!" her eyes gleamed as she said this.
